I have at last got 8 x 280's mining Monero.  I am getting about 450h/s out of them.  Is this about right or should I be able to squeeze a little more out of them?

Also I have been mining on supportxmr for over 5 hours now and still showing nil balance on total due... is this correct? does anyone know how often this updates?

thanks

I got a bunch of these also. And depending on the memory type, your core engine clock and memory clock, you should get close to 600h/s.

With a Hynix R9 280X ASUS 3GB, I get 600H/s.

Basically undervolt to 0.950V, set core to 1000 and memory to 1500 and you should get like 597H/s or so. Uses like 130 Watts or so.

Not worth overclocking because the speed isn't beneficaial.

This is pretty much the only algo worth mining with these old old GPUs.

You had any issue with undervolting? I'm mining Cryptonight with R9 280x but never tried to undervolt

Hello Claymore. I would like to know if this can mine Cryptonight-heavy for Loki and others; and also Cryptonight v7 for XCASH and others? Because when I tried it with Cryptonight v7 it gets rejected.

We also need Cryptonight v8

@Claymore

Can you please add these ATI cards into your new miner:
HD 5970
HD 6970
HD 6990

Thanks in advance.

No way the obsolete cards will be again compatible with the miner. Feel free to use xmr-stak, up to date it is still compatible with a few tricks and driver 14.3 .

It is not a virus but your antivirus is probably blocking it.  Please disable AV on that machine

I don't have AV which makes it G Drive's fault. But the MEGA link finally worked so I could actually download it.  Grin

I tried to download v11.3 using the Google Drive link and it won't download. Google says it's a virus and blocked it.
Can I download it some other way? I have Firefox so the Mega link won't work either.  Sad

Claymore's cryptonote amd miner is the best ever ,but its a shame it doesn't support old and GPUs anymore

You can run it on the 7970 without problem.

But on HD 7750 and Hd 7770 and HD 7790 does not work Sad

Awesome!  It's great to see a new CryptoNote version out, going to go switch all my miners to it now.  Thanks Claymore!

Hello,

will there be an update for the next Monero fork of this miner?

Hopefully we get a updated version however checking his last posts. He made 1 post In September Basically saying one word And Before that his last posts were from July.

So judging by the fact that he gets no revenue anymore from this miner, I don't think he will be updating it.

probably busy deciding if he wants a Ferrari or Lambo at the moment.

Except that one word was to call out a troll predicting he was no longer involved in developing mining software. Suggests to me Claymore remains involved in mining. Why spend a huge time over it all whilst people are switching off rigs, not building more.
