just tested 3 cards separatly and they all mine perfect. When i want to run 2 cards together it crashes after some time ... so would this be something with PSU or with MOBO? its defenatly hardware related. i know i could easily fix it with buying a 6 pci motherboard ( asrock h81 pro btc ) and with a PSU of 1200 watts but i try to mine with hardware that i have available for free here at my home. so again , setup is 3 cards on 1 mobo and each card has its own 300 W PSU and the mobo has its own 300 w PSU. pci riser of each card is connected to the PSU from that card ...

please help

What cards are you trying to use?

A 300W PSU is no good for mining and you said you are daisy chaining like 4 PSU?

Why would you do that? Add2Psu is like £20 each and you have 4! Or are you doing some of your own wiring hacks?

I would say undoubtedly a power issue, however, you didn't say what mobo.

Hi there! Is there GNU/Linux version of the miner exists? If not, what would you recommend for GNU/Linux with RX480 cards?

As far as i know there is no up-to-date linux version of this Miner. For linux you can try sg-miner GM which should be more or less on par with Claymore.
Another option is to mine Ethereum where you have quite a few miner with linux versions, including Claymore.

hey guys,
i have 4 rx 480 nitro+ 8giga sapphire cards with each card an old power supply 300Watt.
i use the 1500 Straps and get average 3000 h/s with 510Watt from the wall.
i am using claymore miner with following settings : -p x -a 4 -tt 70 -cclock 1160 -mclock 1930 -cvddc 917 -mvddc 917

My problem now is that the miner only runs for a couple of hours , then the computer just reboots and restarts miner.
after a few restarts nothing works anymore. then i need to pull the plug and put it back in and it runs again.

has this something to do with my settings? or is it just the power supplies that can not handle it?

please advise

You have 4x one card systems?

There can be many reasons for the instability. Maybe it's the miner, I recall having some difficulties using miner's settings cclock, mclock, cvddc 917 and mvddc. I went to use watttool instead and it proved more stable. Maybe it's your cards: you can try increasing core voltage a bit.

4 cards on 1 motherboard. But every card has its own 300 watt PSU. I flashed to cards to 1750 straps and did not change anything else, miner settings I changed to standard. It does not run longer then 1 or 2 hours. I now have it running with only 1 card, and others disabled in the miner. Let's see if it runs longer. Maybe there is a problem with one of the PSU. What PSU are u using? And for how many cards?

4 Mobo for 4 GPU is quite a weird design :p

I'm using a single 1000W PSU to power 6 rx470 4GB GPU (the total power draw is about 600W so a 1000W PSU is quite optimal).

1 Mobo for 4 cards with each there own PSU. That's how it is now. Also I am testing 1 card mining and it's stable now for 3 hours. I am going to disable card 1 and test with card 2... Like this I want to figure out if I have a bad PSU on 1 of the cards...

Any nvidia support?
Claymore's cryptonight GPU miner is AMD only.

The best Nvidia cryptonight miner I have been able to find is a version of CCminer.

If you download the nicehash miner package, then let it download all it's miners, then look in it's "bin" folder you will find one called ccminer_cryptonight.exe. You will also need to copy all the cuda .dll files it needs and pthreadVC2.dll and put them all in a folder with the miner.

my .bat file looks like this:

ccminer_cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://asia1.monero.miningpoolhub.com:20580 -u *my username* -p *my password*

With my gtx1070 using about half it's power (75watts) it does about 500h/s.

I have read some people saying that you can get 700+ out of a 1070 but I don't know what miner they are using or if I need to add some flags I don't know about, but that's what I have managed.

In fact if you own an nvidia GPU you'd be better off mining ZEC as Nvidia GPU perform well on Zcash algorithm so you will have a better profitability mining that coin.

you do something wrong because my sapphire elpida 470 does 755mh average

What memory, what setting, what memory straps, what is power consumption?
I can also get 790 hash from RX480 with samsung memory with 2150 memory clock and +30 power settings. And power consumption is 150w per card. Is it worth it? +80 hash with +50w extra power per card? +300extra watts per rig. 4260 hash @ 670w or  4740 hash @ 970w. ca +10% hashrate and +30% power consumption.

How do u get 100watt from the wall per card? I easily get 795 hash at 150w from the wall. But I want 100w... Even if with standard card BIOS at 640 hs it uses 150 from wall. Please share me your settings to get to 100w. What miner?

What card do You have? 11260-09-20G ?

I have 11260-01 . Does this matter for the settings ?

And what memory does card(s) have? Elpida, samsung, hynix?

Where can I see that ?

With GPU-Z.
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

It is all Samsung memory. I tried some stuff in wattool and I copied the P4 MHz to p5,p6,p7 and give them all 900mv... Like this I have 740 hash at 95watt... But it's not really stable. Any other ideas ? Also I used the 1625 straps.

Try the 1750 strap (it proved to be faster for my samsung RX470).
If you want to improve stability, you might want to decrease core clock or/and increase voltage.

unfortunately i had fan issue with all of 16.11.3 , 11.4 and 11.5 so does with all previous , it happened with all miners , Wolfs , SG and Claymors , only way i was able to get rid of this annoyance is to switch to ubuntu and use amdgpu drivers , no issues there

wow...unlucky you. I had never even once experienced this issue with claymore (mostly used 16.9.2 drv) on sgminer and forks it happened on all rigs for me, no matter what. now after recent ddu and 16.11.4(I don't run installers, only the drivers) it's just gone from sgminer.

On the rx 480's it drops the shares drop about 40%. Worked great on the 7xxx cards that reached ROI 3 years ago! Fkn waste of bandwidth!
