Seems to be a severe problem with v 7.0 as my mining speed drops from 23.9 MHs on my RX 480 card down to 15.x MHs.  That is a huge performance drop.

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool coinotron.com:3344 -ewal molitar.miner1 -esm 2 -epsw -dpool "http://sia-eu1.nanopool.org:9980/miner/header?address=
&worker=miner1&email=<[email protected]>" -dcoin sia -dcri 30 -allpools 1 -ethi 16,3,16

I extracted 6.4 files back over and my speed went back up.  What is wrong with this latest version?  Is there a change in the command line I need to make for the new version?

Hi guys,

today I am going to set up my first mining rig with 6 XFX RX480 8gb GPUs, and I would like to install Claymore's dual miner on it, so I was wondering, which one is more profitable atm?

ETH+DCR, ETH+SIA, or ETH+Lbry?

Of course the value of the tokens is widely different (token/USD), but what is better to mine considering block reward, block time, token value, etc?

I would like to store ETH, while using the other coins to trade, so which one of the three has got the highest trading value in your opinion?

PS: also what operative system would you suggest to run this miner? I was thinking about installing WIN10, because apparently is good to overclock the GPUs later on. Do you agree, or do you think there are better options basing on your experience?

Every help is deeply appreciated, thank you!
what to mine can help you get an idea about is most profitable when mining ETH+ which ever coin you pick, i an currently running 5 gpu's on win7 but you will have to use gpu mod to get win7 to recognize the 5th and 6th card worked without any problems here is a link to what to mine if you need a link to the gpu mod no problem just ask happy mining

For me ETH+SIA is the most profitable. But it may vary in your case, you could check with your equipment. Win10 is OK, but you have to tune it (disable telemetry, disable useless services)

I use Win7, cheaper, less mess to deal with.  You can run WattMan, to change clocks.  I leave clocks alone and undervolt a lot.  May be an issue with 6 cards though, I have 5 working by disabling IGP, going to try 6 soon.  Win10 should be fine for 6 cards, I just had weird issues with clocks getting stuck on idle, may be just me though.

I would say right now profit Sia > Lbry > DCR, but look at www.whattomine.com

480 will do ~
Sia 24.5MH + 600MH
DCR 24.5MH + 900MH
Lbry 22MH + 50 MH

Check your hashrates though, varies slightly between cards.  I undervolt to get solid boost clocks without increasing power limit, and less heat.  OC only helps secondary coin, so I don't feel it worth it.

If you have the reference cards, you can flash the better BIOS. You can do 29 MHz with the same setting.

Thank you for all your answers guys.

Gonna try "win10+geth+claymore v 7.0(+ I think nanopool for eth and something else for SIA)" tomorrow and will post here what the outcome is.

I am also thinking about overclocking, but I want to run for a few days with standard bios, just to see how it works (maybe just undervolting).

This is the bios that I want to try next. If you don't already know it, give it a try if you want https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/9400/boysies-rx480-ref-bios-29mh-low-pwr-eth-or-dual-mining

Claymore, can you confirm that 7.0 finds blocks ? Cause i got 1/0/1 and no block was accepted. I know that maybe orphan but anyway. In the past you have this issue!

Btw what is "number of incorrectly calculated shares" it's stale, orphan or what ? In 7.0 i got too much 3 for about 24 hours.

Just saw in blockexplorer that block was accepted 10 hours ago, and sent on my exchange address 10 hours ago too. It seems Tx that was in the wait list. Cause last time i have sent Tx and it din't has any reaction about 10 min, i sent another one. I think this is it. So it's ok.

It must work because I did not change any network-related code.

Yeah, it's work. Just my fault.

It is working.

Eth + Sia is the most profitable for me now. You can use this and set the right parameters too.

Edit. Call me crazy but I'm running 34 Ths solo now. With the high risk of never seeing roi with s9 I decided hell with it I'll take my chances;)

You can mine at PPS and buy a lottery ticket for mined funds. Chance will be _much_ higher

Hehe sadly your prolly right  Cheesy. I don't really count those machines in my calcs any more.  it's really sad that more less that's what the machines have become well at least for me the small miner.  Lottery machines with an added benefit of some heat for me for the winter.  It's rather unfortunate tho one can't actually put an s9 into your home without ear plugs.  So again another reason to buy more gpu's Wink.

Best Regards

does this miner work with the geth proxy UI deal? I can never get that ethman thing to work

I have like 10 rigs really the only thing I like the pools for is they let me know when a miner is down via email, hard to do that with

this miner

why? just reserve your rig mac adress on router, them set -mport diferente por every one, them foward them on your router them save all settings on ethman

And you can configure email notifications on this miner too

ten rigs all with reserved addresses ? and Im thinking of adding a few more if the Augur sale thing makes me some money, seems like a ton of work having to port forward every new rig I add.  I run windows 10 should'nt i just be able to open the ports on windows firewall or just turn it off and all the rigs should show up in the ethman deal ?

I just feel that between the 2% fee for my pool and the 2% for the miner my 2400 GH should be getting more than the 12 eth i make per day

according to the calculators I should be making closer to 15eth daily.  Its not the pools perse tried a few different ones pretty much the same outcome.

The main issue is solo mining would probbaly net me 1-2 extra blocks a week

Solo here (on genoil 1.1.7)with 1ghs.  Trust me if you have a good internet solo is your friend;)

1 gig seems really low to solo mine ..
.

I'm happy with 1 block a day.  Some days I get three some zero.   It's all about what your comfortable with.  I like the risk. I mean hell im in the crypto world after all. Risk is our thing right:).  Anyway I don't sweat it when I go a week without a block.  It does happen.

Edit. Call me crazy but I'm running 34 Ths solo now. With the high risk of never seeing roi with s9 I decided hell with it I'll take my chances;)

The internal GPU does not have enough memory to work, but the second card has 2gb allocated to it and it works ok with ethminer?

Error is CL_INVALID_WORK_ITEM_SIZE
You won't be able to start this miner on your videocard, it is not supported. It is possible to fix it though, I will try to do it in next update.

very much appreciated Smiley
