Feature request for EthMan:   A way to acknowledge alarms and have the beeping stop without having to shutdown the app and restart once the miner(s) are fixed.
Thanks.

Hi,

I am having a hard time with my voltage setup on my second rig so any help would be great, I have the below setup.

Asrock H81 BTC Pro R2.0
6 x Sapphire RX480 Nitro+ 8GB
2 x EVGA 750 G2 PSU

All bios mods are running Ubermix 3.1 via PBE 1.6.4

It currently runs cards at 1100/2000 875/850 & a couple at 1050/2000 850/850

I am getting between 29.2MH/s & 29.5MH/s per card total of 175.5MH/s for entire rig.

Running WIN10PROx64, Claymore 10.1, using DAGFIX drivers mining ETH only, but it is pulling over 900w at the wall, using Wattman to control speeds etc. (Temps range from 57-62)

My rigs run relatively quiet, due to their locations, quiet enough the wife is happy to have them in the room and quiet enough you can hold a conversation next to them (Saves me having to turn on the heating)

I had this running at just under 800w a few weeks ago, but unable to reproduce how I did this, so any help would be great

Hi,

I am having a hard time with my setup so any help would be highly appreciated, we have the following setup.

Asrock H110 Pro
RX580 x 13
Corsair AXI 1200 X 2

Since I have wait for the riser card, I though I should crack up the rig with one GPU. I have installed simple miner OS and configured it with claymore-eth v8.1. My configuration string is
-wd 1 -r 1 -epool us1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal mytheconbaseaddress -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333

The rig is doing 18 Mh/s, which is slower than expected. what do I change to make it perform at 25~28 MH/s?

Thank you

You should read thread about bios modding of RX 580 cards.

Setting up a 13 GPU rig while being absolutely clueless about mining is gonna be a challenge for you. Good luck

The amdgpu-pro v17 never worked for me on OC/UV. I've heard crimson drivers, but with older linux, did work... never tested.
So which one you are using currently ?
I use V17.50 but for overclocking I use bios flashing, and I don't undervolt (too bad).

Hello guys, i'm fairly new to coin mining. I've read a lot and been mining eth since 4-5 days now. I've got a gtx1080 (no OC), win10 and using claymore 10.X atm. I'm mining for nanopool. On the software i've got a hashrate steady of around 19/20 Mh/s. I've had a few issue of the windows freezing (known issue for cmd/win10) and I solved it recently so these drops of reported hashrate should not happen anymore.

My main issue is that my 2 hour SMA and submitted shares has been declining heavily since 24 hours and I cant find the reason why. I haven't changed my settings. There is no apparent error message on the claymore window, nor on the log. My 2hour SMA seems to average around 10 Mhs instead of the roughly 20 i should get. My internet connection is flawless (and has been for a few years) so this should not factor in. My GPU is stable at around 60/65 degree and fan at around 40%.

My GPU load is around 50% since I use the option -ethi 0 (to be able to play video games while I'm home, I do not change the setting while away). That is the only "unusual setting" I used, alongside a tempreature control one ( -ttli 75) that I may remove if needed since the GPU temp seems to stay below or at 65 most of the times.

I updated windows, nvidia drivers, made sure I had 16gb of page files on windows. What puzzles me is that I did not change anything since when I started to mine and It worked fine as you can see in the graph below:

https://imgur.com/batt3PP

At first I had a 2H-SMA close to my reported hashrate and since a day it had plummeted to half of what it was. I know RNG is a factor with only one gfx card but over 24 hours, it would be very bad luck if that's what it was about.

What do you think it is related to?

Since my GPU load is around 50% could this be because the -ethi 0 option ? With or without it my hashrate in claymore stays around the same, wihch is wierd since my gpu seems to be working way less than without the option. But then again, it worked fine for two days with that option....

Any help will be greatly appreciated Smiley Thank you !

So, I guess then way to work is to install the old driver , which one you think will work ?
I tried 17.40,49xxx 17.40.48xxx 17.50.xxx , all showing ADL error.
The amdgpu-pro v17 never worked for me on OC/UV. I've heard crimson drivers, but with older linux, did work... never tested.

... now I can see card but somehow claymore overclock settings are ignored by GPU and hence its not stable though work find in dual boot under windows where it can see claymore oc/ undervolt.
My claymore shows error "AMD ADL library not found", does this hs to do something with it ?
On Linux, for me, the overclock and undervolt options don't work...
ADL is no more working with amdgpu-pro, and it was the lib who was doing the overclock/undervolt

some options works, because of sysfs entries, but I only see fan&temperature working.

if someone can tell me you can change clock or voltage from amdgpu, i'll be happy.

Code:
lspci  | grep VGA

shows its present
However, following shows no driver loaded for it ,
lshw -c video | grep configuration
Code:
letancy=0

on my rig it produces
Code:
      configuration: driver=amdgpu latency=0
       configuration: driver=i915 latency=0
       configuration: driver=amdgpu latency=0
...
Probably you make a typo here, or else it is really an error.
can you see the cards with "atiflash -ai" ?
can you see your amdgpu cards with "clinfo"
try: clinfo|grep "Board name"
and: clinfo|grep "OpenCL"

mysterious for me

Hi, It seems my reply to your post was not posted as Cloudflare was marking it spam somehow.

I tried lots of things but didn't work, finally I went for complete reinstall, configured all again and then install 17.50 with --headless and opencl=legacy , now I can see card but somehow claymore overclock settings are ignored by GPU and hence its not stable though work find in dual boot under windows where it can see claymore oc/ undervolt.

My claymore shows error "AMD ADL library not found", does this hs to do something with it ?

Hi my miner displays these errors and suspends the system, please help!:
/.../

Well, it can't write buffer , may be can try -gser 1 or -gser 2 settings with claymore
Thanks, Thanks, I will try -gser 1 to start with.

-powlim set power limit, from -50 to 50. If not specified, miner will not change power limit. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-powlim 20,-20,0,10".

30% of more power - I think yes, in theory at least, depending on your card. You have already -cvddc 850 ... that can easily crash rig sometimes, and increasing power may help. Just doing test and on the wall you can figure it out.

This thing is stable in windows (modded bios) however, can't see effect of -pwlimit though on the wall meter.

Its 115watt on the wall  (Eth only) and 140w (on the wall) with dual (eth+sc) .  Thing is that it is no where near what  I need, I have seen people going 90w with similar card on wall on ETH only. and 110-120 for dual mining.

Can anyone confirm what driver version I need on linux for claymore to see overclock settings ?

It seems overclocking settings through Claymore10.2 is not working for my RX580 under Ubuntu , I am using amdgpu-pro 17.40.483984.

However, it working in windows 10 where using latest drivers.

Anyone can confirm what driver they are using in order for claymore overclocking settings to work  under ubuntu ?

using these settings (are stable in windows but ignored in ubuntu)
Code:
-cclock 1200
-cvddc 850
-mclock 2080
-mvddc 850
-tstop 85
-tt 65
-fanmin 40

Further, can anyone explain concept of -powlimit ?
If I have -powlimit +30 , does that mean that 30% of more power is allowed to GPU than default ?

Hey guys,

Have any of you been able to mine on the Nicehash server since it has come back on? wondering if they've changed any of the settings on it as I'm not able to connect :/

If there are no buyers then it fails to connect; it's up and running on MultiPoolMiner.

Thanks so in other words I need to use the Nicehash Miner? or is there another way to mine directly through Claymore v10.2?

UPDATE: NH back working through claymore although profits not much better than just mining ETH and Sia/Decreed directly

I said MultiPoolMiner not NiceHash miner.
