I'm sorry n00b here...

when i'm using single mining I got 27mhs on my rx470, but on dual mining eth dcr I got only 19mhs.
I notice it from GPU Z , when i'm mining single eth gpu core is on 1050mhz ( which i'm downclock it into ). but on ETH+DCR it only run 700mhz....

I got 2 cards behavior like that...  the other 5 is fine...

2 cards who got odd behavior is biostar and sapphire.
my downclock is

1050mhz, 2000mhz @ 860mv

I'm using claymore 10 and 9.8 on nicehash

You probably ran out of physical or virtual memory. I've had claymore run for at least 2 weeks before and only stopped it manually to do an update.

CPU mining code will often trip a false-positive virus warning due to botnets exploitation of said code.

Can you explain what you found? I have MultipoolMinerV2.5.2 and Windows is saying it found Trojan:Win32/Skeeyah.A!rfn in EthDcrMiner64.exe   is the trojan there, or not? I suspect maybe the MultipoolMiner authors did it?

Why Claymore restarts once a week? Always when it reaches about 135 hours running (with no issues) it restarts, no one GPU fails. I don't understand... Claymore is configured for do this once a week? Please tell me. Many thanks

Hi, I'll need some help/confirmations with the failovers.

Let's say I have these lines in start.bat:

Those lines in epool.txt :


Those lines in dpool.txt :


So if I understand correctly, by launching the file start.bat, the rig will connect to the pools present in this file.

If in the file start.bat the pool corresponding to -epool has 3 connection failures, the script will use epool.txt file and connect to the first pool of this file.

It will be the same if the pool corresponding to -dpool has 3 connection failures, the script will use the dpool.txt file.

After 30 minutes of mining on the pools present in epool.txt and dpool.txt files, the script will try again to connect to the pool present in start.bat.

However, if the script goes to epool.txt or dpool.txt, are the optional values still used? (-tstop 85 -tt 65 -fanmin 60 -fanmax 100 -cclock 1130 -mclock 2150 -cvddc 850 -mvddc 850)

What are the lines at the beginning of the start.bat file for (starting with setx GPU_)? Is there an impact if we don't put them on?

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out which of your GPUs had its shares rejected?

I see things in the logs like "07:37:41:022   1d8   ETH: Share rejected (250 ms)!" but it doesn't say which GPU that was for whereas when you find a share you know which GPU it was "07:37:40:772   1d8   ETH: 09/16/17-07:37:40 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 1)".

I would like this information to identify which of my GPU is causing my rejects to see if I can do something about it.

Guys sorry for the newbie question but when trying to mine ETH and Dcr what address do I use for nicehash? My bitcoin address or the wallet they provide on website?

From instructions both addresses are the same but I don't know if that is nicehash or bitcoin...

If it is bitcoin how does the payout work? Same as pools that it will give payout at certain threshold?

EDIT: Ok so figured out it was bitcoin address by typing it in to the find miner in NiceHash... Noticed from Claymores address that large source of income on Nicehash comes from Cryptonight... How does that work? Alternative software?

I use Google Remote Desktop. Not full of features. But you can view your rigs screen, adjust settings and restart it.

Crossfire is when the AMD Drivers tell 2 or more AMD cards to work as one card. The option should be in Wattman under the second card. Go to Gaming in Wattman and under one of the 570 cards you should find a setting Crossfire, check to see it is enabled if it is disable it.

Probably need to change -dcri (+ and - changes on the fly).  Should get ~600MH sia with no loss to ETH speed.  I run 1100 core because extra core doesn't benefit enough for extra power.
With Hynix mem, OC above 1750MHz slows mining due to memory timings.  Flashing is pretty easy, just need to run pixel clock patcher to disable bios check.

If I understand "crossfire" right, it is when two or more applications claim control over the card. It must have been the case here, because I had to manually rise the memory clock in Wattman, and the card started showing ~28Mh. Do you know how to repair this? - How to tell wattman to release control:P

Two of my rx570's have Elpida, and one has Hynx ram. I only mine ETH so far and don't plan to go dual until I feel I know what I'm doing.

Had two questions. One regarding Asus Strix Cards and one about dual mining.

My rig is 4 Gigabyte RX480's, 2 Asus Strix RX480's, Windows 10, Blockchain Drivers, MSI Afterburner, Uber mix 3.1 Timing Straps, Samsung memory on all cards.

My 1st Strix card has the following settings. 0 , 50% power boost, 1190 CPU, 2015 GPU. Runs at 29.6 Mhs. If I put the GPU speed up any higher it starts at a higher speed, but slowly loses hashrate. Not a huge deal to leave it at 2015, but wondering if anyone has seen this behavior.

My other Strix card is the bastard child. (The original card was RMA'd to Asus and they replaced it with this one) All of my other cards run 100% stable for days. But this one card is just not stable at all. Here are the current settings. 0, 0, 1250 CPU, 1975 GPU. I've tried underclocking this thing on just about every setting. It may run for a day, 3 days, 1 hour, Open CL fail on start up. But lately it has been going less than 6 hours on average and I am having to restart my rig multiple times a day.

It just baffles me that something can run solid for 3 days straight, then not load on start up, then run for 2 days, then have to be restarted 5 times and then run for an hour.

My only other thought is to flash the Bios to Uber mix 3.2 which is a little slower and see if that helps. Any other thoughts or does anyone have some experience with these cards?

2nd question. This is about the dual mining fee. My understanding is that the 2% fee while dual mining is for both Eth and Decred in my situation. That would mean that I am getting 98% of my Eth and 98% of my Decred profits. If that is the case it does not really seem worthwhile to lose an extra 1% of Eth profits to dual mine. Please don't think I am complaining about the fee. Claymore program is fabulous and he can charge whatever he wants. Just want to make sure that it makes sense financially. I'm almost 100 sure that Sia, Pasc and Lbry are not profitable to dual mine right now. Decred seems the most profitable. Just wondering what you guys are all doing? Worth it to dual mine right now?

Trying to dual mine eth+sia with a few RX 580 I have here and the numbers are quite disappointing.

Is there a way to OC them without flashing a new firmware ? (Sapphire Nitro)

I raised the memory clock with AB but it doesnt make any difference.

Check if the first card is in crossfire
What do you have for memory on your 570's you should be able to go 2050 mclock and 1175 cclock on those if your dual mining else you don't need cclock higher then 1050.
Also for the 570's set cvddc 900  and mvddc 925 I have 3 570's with hynix and they are doing 29.3 and 66 LBR with 115w as reported by GPUz (I know it is higher then this by a about 30%)
if you are mining LBR set Drc to 20 if you are mining Decred set it to 25-30

Have you tried -tt -50, or -tt -50,,,, (it depends of how many cards you have and which position is your card you want at 50%)

I got my dummy plug yesterday and started overclocking. While at it, I installed the blockchain driver, instead of previously installed 17.7.1.

Is it normal that fans run very loud now (even at stock clock speeds), while they were reasonably silent before?

Another thing - one of the cards doesn't want to be overclocked. They are 3x RX 570 + 1x RX460

-mclock 2000,2000,2000,0 -cclock 1120,1120,1120,0

The first card shows no increase in hashrate, second and third go to 28MH, and for the RX460, I have yet to find good clock values. Any sugestions?

Decrease your "-dcri" intensity for more stable dual mining. For me it works like a charm, in Decred I decrease "-dcri" intensity from 25 to 21 and my global hashrate increase on ETH from ~173.5 to some incredibly stables 175MH/s.
