I have been reading this forum a lot lately and thought I would join the community.

I have installed the new BETA drivers on my 7 GPU rig (mix of RX 480's/580's 4gb/8gb) and have seen a noticeable improvement. Went from 172Mh/s to 184Mh/s
I have to use WattMan and Afterburner combined to reduce volts and underclock/overclock - anyone have any better suggestions? (WattMan is a nightmare!!)

I have also noticed slight erratic behavior at first with these new drivers, a card or 2 would dip and then come back - perhaps teething issues as it appears to be running a bit more consistently now.

Claymore - Keep up the good work man!

hello
i have a big problem with the last version and all over miners. works with 3 cards and when i want to put 4 gpu cards on my rig, it crashes...
all the same cards, Under win10 fresh installed, AMD driver 17.4.4, stock cards, psu 1200w seasonic prime on asrock H81 rev2

risers are ok because:
- gpu 1+2+3 => ok
- gpu 1+2+4 => ok
- gpu 1+2+3+4 => ko...

claymore start well and detect the 4 gpu's but crashed before to start mining, just after GPU detect.

please help me !!

- Make sure the card is not sharing power with another card
- Make sure each riser not sharing its power with another riser
- Run all cards on stock BIOS and stock seetings
- Uninstall MSI AB or similar software
- Run DDU in safe mode
- Reinstall AMD driver, the latest
- Run Claymore with minimal settings -cvdcc 1000 -mvdcc 1500

Share results and screenshots from GPU-Z

hello,
i did everything and its still the same problem... im running now Under 4 cards and it's crashing.
Under GPUZ i don't see any problem and all the cards are detected. no time to post screenshots for the moment.
any idea ?
i put under 2 cards, i've got another problem about drivers, perhaps it's my problem, with 2 cards, on pciexpress 1 and 2,
one cards is Under Crimson 17.7.2 / whql /win10 64 drivers (opencl ticked)
and the second one is only whql / win10 64 drivers (opencl not ticked)

With the new beta driver is it still needed to copy files from an old version to get multi cards to work? i Have both RX480 and RX580 all bios modded, if that matters.

The driver mixing was only to get 6 or more RX 580 cards to work on the same rig. I'm pretty sure you don't need to mix the drivers since 17.6. I have two 6 card rigs with mixed RX 4XX/5XX cards and have never needed to mix the drivers. You do need to patch the driver Bios signature check with cards that have a modded Bios except for the RX 580's.

I have a quick/Basic Question regarding AMD Windows mining: what the difference between CCminer and CGMiner Thanks,

Ask you question in AMD Windows mining thread then.

hey hey everyone wanted to get some insight from a few people here if i can!

when checking my machine it almost looks normal as if everything is mining fine, but a few numbers are off and when i check the pool online i get 0. this is happening everyday now and only starts showing up online again after a reboot.

ETH - Total Speed: 191.552 Mh/s, Total Shares: 6644, Rejected: 3, Time: 20:17
ETH: GPU0 23.880 Mh/s, GPU1 23.983 Mh/s, GPU2 23.970 Mh/s, GPU3 23.970 Mh/s, GPU4 23.963 Mh/s, GPU5 23.942 Mh/s, GPU6 23.935 Mh/s, GPU7 23.909 Mh/s

i posted my line above i get 6644 shares and 3 rejected, this continues to just repeat.

im dual mining SIA and MUSIC.

i can post the log if anyone can assist me.

I guess you are with GTX 1060s ? If yes, I believe its too much OC'd. Reduce it a bit and experiment

it's weird it runs for about 24 hours no issues then just stops.

powerlimit =     50
coreclock =     -150
memclock =    +750
fanspeed =      75%

i think i might be starving the cards of power.

Do you see some hash change when you underclock core?
Don't know why, but I have the same hash speed with default/over/under core clock.

Core clock is entirely useless for Ethereum mining. The algorithm is intentionally ludicrous memory bound to prevent ASICs.  You can run Nvidia cards like 60% power limit, core underclock, save gobs of power and hash the same. Same for AMD.

Just as an FYI - I have 5 470rx's in the same rig (xfx, sapphire and msi), tried the new beta blockchain drivers, it was a non starter for me. My drivers (patched), atipixel patcher etc, 6 card patch, but MSI afterburner version I use didn't allow me to set anything and also there seemed something wrong, like the driver hadn't installed properly, even though, everything had and there was no driver issues in device manager etc. So went back to 16.11.5-Nov25 which works great for me. All running on WIN 7 64bit.

Just an FYI

0 change in my hash, i just dropped it from -150 to -200. same hash rate 23.950
all of my hashrate comes from the memclock, core doesnt even dent it a bit.

So is there a reason you run it underclocked in not default?

I've tried out the new official beta drivers on a small test rig, there was no need to apply the 'atikmdag-patcher' patch.
With 17.7.1 drivers I get 59Mh/s with beta drivers I get 61Mh/s.

Does this driver check bios sig?

Yes. You need to use the pixel patcher with RX 4XX and 57X cards with a modded Bios. With RX 580's typically you don't need to bypass the signature check.
K, and can you do 6 cards?

Does msi afterburner works with this driver?

Afterburner 440beta12 did not work, but it has not worked before and took a bit of tweaking to get it work. It's getting late - or should I say early - and dont have the energy right now to mess with it more, will play around with it a bit later on.

You have to use Afterburner beta 16 with the new drivers.
