Claymore returns 50MH/s, ethminer 80MH/s
nVidia K10x4

Any ideas?

Ethash - 33.7 MH/s
EthashDecr80 - (33.33 MH/s, 2.67GH/s) - @ 240-280 watts on kilowatt (with cpu 320-360 watts total... cpu/mb/mem/ssd take about 80 watts) temp @73 with fan @80%

Ethash2gb -37.58 MH/s
Ethash2gbDecred85 - (34.64 MH/s, 2.94 GH/s)

What is Etash2gb and Ethash2gbDecred85?

they were designed for 2gb cards.

yea, I gathered that but how are you using it now that DAG size is over 2gb?  or what version of claymore duel eth miner is that?

Probably mining UBIQ or another EThash coin that hash a DAG < 2gb? Thats my guess anyways!

Guys,

I am using Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 for dual mining ETH with ethermine.org pool and DRC with dcr.supnova.cc. Could somebody please explain why I have unstable (cyclical with period ~ 1.5 - 2 hours) current effective hashrate (from 100 MH/s to 150 MH/s) as well as Shares per hour (from 100 to 150).

screen Snapshot

Wait for at least 24 hours as it's recommended on the pool.
Also you can find a lot of answers for your questions if you go and read pool's FAQ/knowledge base.
Your concern has nothing to do with Claymore miner.

I'm hoping to get my hands on a killawatt this week.

So far I'm happy with the performance of my Vega FE's.

If you are not going to defend yourself no one else will Smiley
FE Performance is great !!! ROI and PowerConsupmtion is not Smiley

Don't know why, but I expected WAY higher hash rate and also more FPS at gaming.
The hype about Vega was absurde, it cannot even come close to 1080 (gaming).

Dont know what you are talking about but according to all the review sites it beats or ties the 1080 and the 56 beats the 1070 in most gaming benchmarks. It doesnt beat the 1080 TI nothing does. The price on the 64 is too high if it is going to compete the the 1080 however way to high

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOIVkIgtrvE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flVdpuxKze8

and so on....

Vega 64 does NOT beat 1080 in games!
Anyway, it wasn't my intention to start a race between vega and 1080, just wanted to say that I'm surprised with benchmarks from all the hype around Vega, I did expect even better results.

What hype? All the hype was created by outsiders, uninformed people, based on desire to attract attention to their media, to get clicks, reposts, retweets and likes.
Mining community warned against the hype and did not have expectations high... You have been reading the wrong sources... There was no hype.

well... Vega 64 doesn't do Lbry coin with the dual miner.   just gives "Cannot build OpenCl program for GPU0"

Sia, Pascal, and Decred work.

and what hashrate you getting please

Ethash - 30.24 MH/s
EthashDecr80 - (29.69 MH/s, 2.38GH/s)

Ethash2gb -34.5 MH/s
Ethash2gbDecred85 - (31.0 MH/s, 2.63 GH/s)

EthashSia45 (29.22 MH/s, 1.31 GH/s) @ 200-240 watts on kilowatt (with cpu 280-320 watts total... cpu/mb/mem/ssd take about 80 watts)

stock, beta drivers ver 17.30.1051-b6-Aug 7, windows 10, cpu-i7700K
can't adjust fan ... it spins @2400rpm and @82C with ambient temp around 86F(23C)... i'm in texas

edit*... had to hit custom settings in wattman to be able to adjust fans.

I think I was thermally throttled... temp was to high... rerunning with fan at 95%... 4700 rpm.  temp is now @70C under load... rerunning benches

Ethash - 33.7 MH/s
EthashDecr80 - (33.33 MH/s, 2.67GH/s) - @ 240-280 watts on kilowatt (with cpu 320-360 watts total... cpu/mb/mem/ssd take about 80 watts) temp @73 with fan @80%

Ethash2gb -37.58 MH/s
Ethash2gbDecred85 - (34.64 MH/s, 2.94 GH/s)

PSU is an old Corsair AX1200.

I'm really looking forward to see what my vega FE's are pulling.  1137MHz core clock, 1050/1100 MHz HMB2 clock, 55C @ 95% fan. ambient is 22C

edit to add: 36.0MH/s (1050MHz HBM2), 37.7MH/s (1100MHz HBM2)

^^^ If I mod my RX480 it does 30MH/s, I'm not impressed at all. Give me one with 4x GPU's on one card, they should look at the HD 7990 for inspiration.
The 7990 was a badass in the litecoin era they where and I believe still hard to come by do know the app wattage

So 1060 and 1070 still better than vega 56

I guess the low performance of the vega in the mining is for the drivers and the problem of the DAG, I hope with bios mod and drivers of at least 60mh / s, otherwise it will be a total failure. Sell more expensive rx580 haha

as far as i know the bios is locked so you wont be able to mod it

This is what I've read as well... Hopefully someone can bypass it...

http://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3020-amd-rx-vega-56-review-undervoltage-hbm-vs-core

Curious where you got the 56 hashrates considering that card is not available for sale for anothet 2 weeks

most serious reviewers received both cards (some even received the water cooled one) a few days ago/last week.
