They will fix the issue for sure but it will not change profitability because then dificulty will scyrocking which is the same situation but we will see bigger hashrate from our rigs, just non sense higher numbers

If 90%+ of all gpus in the world mining ETH are Polaris, then max possible loss from the hashrate drop so far (and therefore max possible gain from the upcoming fix) is ~10%.

90% came out of my @$$ mind, but I am pretty sure that any profitability gained will not be insignificant

We need ETH price moving up to maintain profitability

Even now, ETH remains the most profitable altcoin to mine with a Polaris card

Hi all,

If I mine ETH only all works fine with a hashrate of 181MHs.
When I try to dual mine ETH+DCR (-dcri 30) I get 180MHs (ETH) + 5000MHs (DCR).

The problem is that while dual mining I got almost 1% of incorrect shares and looking the hashrate at poolsize I got under 170MHs (-6%).

Could someone help me to figure out where is the problem?

Thanks!!

Config?

EthDcrMiner64.exe -mport 3333 -epool eu2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal myethwallet -epsw x -dpool dcr.coinmine.pl:2222 -dwal mydcrwallet -dpsw x

All the GPUs are RX580 8GB Hynix and are running at 1200/2250 with a custom strap and -125mv offset.

Some GPUs have a little amount of memmory errors but they aren't correlated with the incorrect shares (I got incorrect shares on GPUs with 0 errors).

The total power at the wall is 1150w dual mining and 900w mining ETH only.

What are you using to set the voltage?
What is your sbmitted shares rate on the miner? Reported hashrate and effective hashrate on the pool?

All my overclock/undervolt is done by bios modding.
The submited share rate on the miner now is 178MHs (ETH) and 5300MHs (DCR)
On the pool side I have 177MHs reported, 167MHs (effective 24h)

I tried the latest AMD Drivers - 17.7.2, no improvement.

How did you manage to do proper OC with latest driver? My two RX560s dropped from 29.8MH/s to
24.8MH/s and whatever I try to do, its locked at 24.8

We have a new driver from AMD the DAG for polaris is fixed in this situation?

NOT YET. They know the issue and can fix it, though.
Thank you Wolf for your answer we hope for a quick fix from amd

Hi! Anybody noticed that the hashrate drops since the DAG epoch 136 was reached yesterday? My 6x RX 480s rig was mining at 166-167 MH/s (27,7-27,9-28 per card) and now 164-165 MH/s (27,4 MH/s). I'm doing dual mining with v9.6 Claymore miner and set -dcri 28, 27, 26, 25, 24 for test and ETH hashrate not changes. (Config: 1175/2080 at -100mV). Thanks for help!

Yes, we have all noticed for a while now and it will continue to decrease until AMD fixes it with a driver.

Ah okay, sorry for the stupid question but I was going crazy trying to adjust my cards. Then I hope they can solve the problem with a new Drivers version Sad

TESTED NVIDIA DRIVERS (other versions are untested, they can be worse or better):
9xx cards in Windows 7 x64: just use latest/recent drivers from Nvidia website (for example, 368.81). Note that latest 372.54 is slower than 368.81.
9xx cards in Windows 10 x64: you have to use old drivers (for example, 352.xx) and miner built for cuda6.5.
10xx cards in Windows 7 x64: just use latest 372.54 drivers from Nvidia website.
10xx cards in Windows 10 x64: just use latest 372.54 drivers from Nvidia website, note that you must have Win10 Anniversary update.

I have been using Claymore v9. 7 since 2 days ago and I found big problem with it (download from this forum and it's working in dual mode ETH + SC) :

1) POOL sometimes change SC mining to DCR mining with strange sever and unknown wallet address automatically without any action from me.

2) POOL sometimes change ETH mining from my sever (asia) to another sever (us1) and unknown wallet address without any action from me.

I actually do not know what is happenning, please help me to understand.

Thanks and BR.

If you suspect the POOL have you tried to ask this question to them?
Do you see a "Dev Fee" during the time of those "hacks" ?
Please provide screenshots.

Probably failsafe pools kicks in, and you have not set yours addresses in failsafe. Edit epool.txt and dpool.txt with your data.

Thank you,

I already changed dpool.txt and epool.txt with my data.

Interesting. I read recently at this forum that some miners were hacked and their rigs were redirected to other wallets at the ethermine. Effectively it looked like huge farms.
Anyway, if you see such behavior (I did not see at my rig, hashrate was always steady at the ethermine) it is definitely something wrong. you either have "evil" miner (maliciously modified) or hacked by malware.

how do you see it?

I often check status of all my rigs via ethermine.org and sia.nanopool.org.

Then:

1) Productivity was down, my rig is not working.

2) I used teamview to check all the rigs 1 by 1 and try to know what is going on.

3) Pool still working (with shares accepted) but sever is changed from asia1 to us1 and I did not receive any ETH to my wallet address. With SC mining, it change from mining of SC to mining of DCR instead and I also can not receive any SC to my wallet address too.

That's all, if you know why please answer me.

Thanks a lot.
