Me, Myself & I
Tested on 4 470 4G Armor OC
v8.1 dcri 35 = 111-112 ETH + 1950DCR, ~850w
v9.0 dcri 35 = 94ETH + 3250DCR, ~850w
v9.0 dcri 30 = 101ETH + 3025DCR, ~850w
v9.0 dcri 25 = 106ETH + 2650DCR, ~850w
v9.0 dcri 20 = 106ETH + 2025DCR, ~800w
v9.0 dcri 15 = 103ETH + 1560DCR, ~750w

Claymore said that hash peak is narrow, so You lost v90 peak somewhere between 5 point dcri-increments.

Thanks for this update!

How to find in the log when -r option is activated? I mean, if something wrong with a GPU, how to find it in the log file. To understand the statistics.

if I use -dcri parameter, but don't provide any dcri pool info, would ethereum hashing increase?
i don'thave time to set up dcri pools and then exchage the coins.
I want only eth, but at the highest speed possible.
What is the best course of action?

If you don't mine DCR, why do you think that you need DCR pool info?

because according to prior post i can use -dcri param when ONLY mining eth, if I am not mistaken.
Just making sure that doing so is OK without having other dcr related info.
It is counterintuitive to most that they can use -dcri parameter to change eth mining while NOT mining dcr at all (even while using -mode 1).
fake mining dcr to increase eth mining?
A nice trick.

It is good that you can use both the ethi and dcri to get the best ETH speed.

With the ETH/DCR prices, this takes some tuning to max profits lol. Nice work Sir.

I just tried Tonga(R9 380) ETH-only. I have lower speeds with ASM option (tried -dcri from 1 to 30, around 7 it is maximum, but less than without asm option)

I have stock Sapphire 380 Nitro 4GB. v8.1 shows 20.7MH/s on 15.12 drivers, 20.5MH/s on 17.2.1 drivers. v9.0 with "-dcri 7" shows 20.8MH/s.
Well, if you see that ASM is slower, use "-asm 0" option. Anyway, don't expect crazy speedup for ETH (the only good speedup I noticed is +8% for Fury Nano).

just had some tests with ethi. Doesn't do anything (if i up it.) it only works when lowering.
However when raising dcri, hashrate of eth goes up as well. Kind of weird.
I would be a very happy person if i could raise eth intensity with an effective difference in eth hashrate.
Like i said, the only way i can raise my eth hashrate is when i raise dcri. (Which has no point when mining on mode 1)..
Any suggestions for that Claymore?

What suggestions do you expect? Adjust "-dcri" to get best speed, that is all. Is it important for you to change "-ethi" instead of "-dcri"? Why? "-dcri" is not direct intensity of ETH (because it does not change GPU round time), "-ethi" is. If you set "-ethi 0", speed will be lower. Assume you have two different parameters that can change ETH speed, you can call them "ethi1" and "ethi2", I called them "-ethi" and "-dcri", I don't see any problems here. "-dcri" was added for DCR (dcrintensity), but now it also changes speed for other coins - should I also create "-siai", "-lbci", "-pasi"? I try to keep number of options minimal.

v9.0:

- added "-asm" option (AMD cards only) which enables assembler GPU kernels. In this mode some tuning is required even in ETH-only mode, use "-dcri" option or or "+/-" keys in runtime to set best speed.
Currently only ETH-only and ETH-DCR modes are supported in assembler. Use "-asm 0" if you don't want to use new assembler kernels.
If ASM mode is enabled, miner must show "GPU #x: algorithm ASM" at startup.
- improved ETH mining speed in ASM mode for some cards, also a bit reduced power usage for some cards (fine-tuning is required via "-dcri" or "+/-" keys in runtime).
NOTE 1: if GPU throttles, best "-dcri" value is different.
NOTE 2: speed peak can be rather short, so change "-dcri" value slowly.
- dramatically increased DCR mining speed in assembler mode (up to 70%). Be careful, power usage is higher too.
- added "-gmap" option.
- fixed DCR Nicehash support.
- added "FINE-TUNING" section to Readme file.
- A lot of minor improvements and bug fixes.

Awesome! Many thanks. Getting 0.5mh/s increase on all my RX480s. So close to touching 30mh/s with clock speeds of just 1100/2100 Smiley

-dcri of 5~10 seems best for my RX480s solo mining ETH. It varies depending on the clock speeds, I'm running different clocks for different cards/rigs.

Made zero difference on my solitary 290x, maybe less power consumption, not sure....

Anyone has the speeds of 470 4gb ETH+DCR Dual mining with watt usage? Thanks!

Still tinkering with new version so far best i could do with sapphire nitro rx470 4gb(hynix) 1100core/1900mem/850mv, 1500 mem strap, doing 26.5 eth/800dcr with -dcri 30, gpu-z power draw 87w, don't have access to draw from wall rigs are in remote location, but it should be around 105w per gpu from wall. But it seems like going anywhere higher than -dcri 30 seems to have impact on eth speed, i was mining with -dcri 40 on 8.1

Hi Claymore,
Question.
Apologies if this question has already been answered. Suppose I'm pool mining, say ethmine.com. Somewhere in your software something clicks and it's time to devmine. Does your mining software immediately cut over to devmining or does it wait until a share is harvested then devmine?

Mining consists of executing GPU code many times, I call it "rounds". Rounds are independent from each other. GPU round is about 200ms and it cannot be interrupted, it can find a share or can find nothing. Have I answered your question?

Yes.  Thanks!
