I just tried Tonga(R9 380) ETH-only. I have lower speeds with ASM option (tried -dcri from 1 to 30, around 7 it is maximum, but less than without asm option)
I have stock Sapphire 380 Nitro 4GB. v8.1 shows 20.7MH/s on 15.12 drivers, 20.5MH/s on 17.2.1 drivers. v9.0 with "-dcri 7" shows 20.8MH/s.
Well, if you see that ASM is slower, use "-asm 0" option. Anyway, don't expect crazy speedup for ETH (the only good speedup I noticed is +8% for Fury Nano).
just had some tests with ethi. Doesn't do anything (if i up it.) it only works when lowering.
However when raising dcri, hashrate of eth goes up as well. Kind of weird.
I would be a very happy person if i could raise eth intensity with an effective difference in eth hashrate.
Like i said, the only way i can raise my eth hashrate is when i raise dcri. (Which has no point when mining on mode 1)..
Any suggestions for that Claymore?
What suggestions do you expect? Adjust "-dcri" to get best speed, that is all. Is it important for you to change "-ethi" instead of "-dcri"? Why? "-dcri" is not direct intensity of ETH (because it does not change GPU round time), "-ethi" is. If you set "-ethi 0", speed will be lower. Assume you have two different parameters that can change ETH speed, you can call them "ethi1" and "ethi2", I called them "-ethi" and "-dcri", I don't see any problems here. "-dcri" was added for DCR (
dcrintensity), but now it also changes speed for other coins - should I also create "-siai", "-lbci", "-pasi"? I try to keep number of options minimal.
