Found a real good deal on a Asrock H97 Anniversary and bought it.  Having a problem with it.  The 2nd(16x) and 6th pcie do not recognize the GPUs.  Is there a setting in the Bios that would be able to make the mobo recognize these pcie slots?

You need to force it back to gen2 if I recall correctly.. I used to use them as well and did a bunch of 6 GPU deployments with them but had to force those changes for it to work.

So 480 4g vs 480 8g... Do they mine the extra 20% in worth?

From what I've read and seen other people say, a 4g can get about 28-30 Mh/s, I'm getting 28.5 on my MSI armor 4g. A 8g can get 30-32 Mh/s. I'm not that experience in it yet, but I have 2 8GB's on the way, so I can report back what I find then.

I got RX480 (GB and i havent been able to get them to 30, nor even 28 in stable way. Can you share your methods, please

I am getting 30.1xx mh/s on eth and 3050 mh/s on decred (i think i can get more than that), follow this tutorial http://1stminingrig.com/best-bios-rom-sapphire-nitro-rx-480-8gb-oc-mine-ethereum-30-mhs/

As for the RX470 i am getting 29.8xx - 29.9xx mh/s on dual ethereum, still playing with the settings, i think i can squeeze a bit more than that

Both cards have Samsung memory..

Thank you @ciprianpt do you know if this bios will work on red devils rx480 8gb? does it produces memory errors?

Curious about dual mining as well, not just vanilla mining Eth.

ive tested all algos today on my 1050ti and 1070's eth+drc eth+lbr eth+pcl tried lots of -drci from 40-100....     if you currently mining eth on Nvidia cards its worth looking into

my test show latest genoil 1070 -30% tdp default core +595 mem = eth= 30.5mhs (note this a G1 Gaming 180wat std tdp)

                           Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v8.1 1070  -drci 52 -30% tdp default core +595 mem = eth=29.8mhs + drc=675mhs

Very nice Claymore

hi nemo
i was looking to add a couple 1070 what pools do you use for dual mining eth and decred and should the hashrate show up in the pools im using
i tried with decred suprnova  and eth dwarf but couldnt get the hashrate to show up on either pool.
how much mhs do you get solo mining decred as compared to dual mining.
thanks for any help.

i tested it on Nice Hash : )

EthDcrMiner64.exe -dcri 52 -allcoins 47 -esm 3 -epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.jp.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal 19iNwpkQEtjoDTz4sP5EKMJHvF6smZxqhR -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://decred.jp.nicehash.com:3354 -dwal 19iNwpkQEtjoDTz4sP5EKMJHvF6smZxqhR -dpsw x

NVIDIA DRIVERS:
9xx cards in Windows 7 x64: just use latest/recent drivers from Nvidia website (for example, 368.81). Note that latest 372.54 is slower than 368.81.
9xx cards in Windows 10 x64: you have to use old drivers (for example, 352.xx) and miner built for cuda6.5.
10xx cards in Windows 7 x64: just use latest 372.54 drivers from Nvidia website.
10xx cards in Windows 10 x64: just use latest 372.54 drivers from Nvidia website, note that you must have Win10 Anniversary update.

I have better hashrate with NVIDIA Driver 372.54 376.60 than v368.81 on my EVGA GTX 780 3gb and 780ti.

So what's better? 470, 480, or 480 8GB? I've been checking around and can't find a definitive answer on this one.

For the ETH, there is little difference between the 470 and 480. However, the RX 480 has faster memory.

Not what I heard when it comes to duel mining.

So what's better? 470, 480, or 480 8GB? I've been checking around and can't find a definitive answer on this one.
480 8GB for me.  Sold all 470. There is big difference. And AMD is stopping production of 4xx...

As far as AMD stopping production of the 4XX series, source for that? That seems highly unlikely considering they haven't introduced the high end model, which is Vega. They'll produce them the same way they produced the 3XX series and Fury. They use a word name for the high end parts and just normal numbers for the mid and lower end parts.

Anyone have any actual comparable numbers or something they can point me towards for benchmark numbers? CMB doesn't usually benchmark duel mining for some reason.
From what I understand AMD is doing a rebrand of the 4xx cards to be 5xx with negligible performance increases, similar to what they have done many times in the past.(280 to 380, 290 to 390 etc. ) The high end Vega 11 cards should be available in May, with the Vega 10 landing late this year.
From my experience with ASUS and GIGA 470's it is no brainer they are closing them down.
My info is not from internet.
No rebranding anymore. 2 new cards May. Will go out same way as ryzens. Or not, if they change their minds.

They are rebranding though, the 4xx series is getting rebranded to the 5xx, available in April.
