I'm having 1750.00h/s with 5 290x.  Is this correct? I keep seeing people reporting ~350h/s with 6 480 in the first few pages of this topic...

Depends on the GPU, my reference RX480's are doing 300 h/s

Also, if we want zcash price to rise.. DO NOT SELL

Thanks

does any one know how long does it take for suprnova to send balance onto poloniex wallet?  Or should I register and keep the coins in suprnova and transfer them later?

get it on to the exchange you want asap. Then convert to BTC and keep it in BTC cold wallet. Except if you like risk and think ZEC will go up. then keep it for later. But it takes some time 2h+ to get to an exchange.

There is zero chance (in my opinion) that Zcash does not recuperate towards $100 if their roadmap and development gets 'back' on track.

I agree, the reason ZEC value dropped about 25% in value last week was because the word "fork" was uttered, which undoubtedly scared investors. However, it was proven that a fork did NOT occur by the ZCash team. As of today, the value of ZEC is headed back up, currently $34 as I'm writing this. So I'm not sure why anyone would be avoiding ZEC mining right now. In my opinion, the folks who made the most money on BTC were those who got in early and held on to their coins despite the roller coaster ride. Its a risk to hold on to ZEC (or any cryptocurrency), but that's what's required for huge gains.

Sure, you could mine the most profitable currency all the time and immediately dump it at the sign of trouble. A lot of people do this and achieve pretty consistent small returns, but its nothing in comparison to holding onto a cryptocurrency that then suddenly jumps to $1000 a unit or something ridiculous. I do however advocate diversification. We should all be mining more than one cryptocurrency, don't make the mistake of putting all your eggs in one basket. Personally, I mine ZCash because I believe in the concept and I think that its going to become extremely valuable in the future. I maybe entirely wrong, but no one knows what's going to happen with any of these cryptocurrencies in the future. Its all just speculation.

Mining and holding has been the clearly most profitable strategy for any of the top-10 currencies from inception to now. I don't see a reason for that to change, and in my mind Zcash is a top-10 currency without a doubt.

or you are an advertiser for OPTI =)

With 2000 sols you should get more than 0.2/day, most def opti advertiser. Roll Eyes

0.2 per day with 2000 sol is pretty spot on with some variance.

The problem you will find is the pool, on flypool you would get 0.24 zec guaranteed.

Going stealthy
I hope Claymore's would only charging 1% fees. Pool fees and Claymore's fees would add up to be a lot.

I hope there is someone who can explane this. I always mine with CM, but aprox two weeks ago someone mention that optiminer is faster and I said I will try it.
I have eight R9 280x and with CM 11.1 I have 2000H/s, I mine aprox 0.12 - 0.15 ZEC per day (24h). I mine on suprnova.
Then I change miner to OPTI 1.6. I have 2200H/s and mine aprox 0.2 ZEC per day. I use OPTI about 10 days and everx day I mine aprox 0.2 ZEC per day.
Two days ago I change miner to CM 12, I have 2270H/s and I mine 0.12 ZEC in 24 hours.
So I change miner back to OPTI 1.62 now and I have 2200H/s and I mine 0.26 ZEC in last 24 hours.

So, is there someone who can explane this?

There is variance in the pool. Blocks aren't found always at 100% the hash rate. That and the difficulty changes constantely.

Send to an exchange as they are insured for losses, I use https://www.kraken.com/

Ideally I would like to see the price rise to $50 a coin, but yes I am in doubts whether this will be the case in the future.

Free electricity means I am in no rush to sell.

Depends on the GPU, my reference RX480's are doing 300 h/s

Also, if we want zcash price to rise.. DO NOT SELL

As promised I also checked Clay's v.12 performance in Linux for the RX 480's
305 H/s average per GPU
Power consumption from the wall far better than WIndows 10

GPU = 480 8gb
Windows 10 = 1200 Watt from the wall, 315 H/s average

Linux = 975 watt from the wall, 305 H/s

Linux is much better ratio cost vs hash
I can say now that Claymore is almost equal to Optiminer

I am checking stability now, since Optiminer still has some stability issues

The only difficulty I have is GCN assembler. I've spent a lot of time to create efficient environment for development in asm, that's the only reason of the delay. It's one-time delay related to all my miners, now I see that with assembler I can improve them all.
So, which one of your miner will be next?

Thank you claymore. I am getting about 550-560 H/s average on 2 unmodded RX 480's.

You should be getting around 600 H/s with unmodded RX 480's
unless you have the 4gb version?

what is command for 600h/s for rx480 8g im getting only 300max Sad
aaa on 2 rx480

600h/s is impossible with single gpu I think.

Yes I meant for 2 RX 480's
