Alpha version would be welcome. Let it be half ready with no support.

Damn it, I find new assembler tricks every day. I want to use them all, this causes new delays again and again. All these things take too much time.
Right now I can release an update with speedup for Hawaii cards but I had no time to add new tricks to other cards, I need a couple days for that. So no update today Sad
just release it!!

Nothing wrong with that, we'll wait a couple of days. The main thing that you are doing your job consistently and as always excellent.

True, Hawaii is better than nothing!
And you will test for stability new algo before optimizing miner for other cards  Grin

You can make it V11.9 with speedup only for Hawaii, and V12 to be with speedup for all cards, for example... Smiley

No idea what the people who have problems do different, but both ZEC miners (Opti and CM) are running stable. I can not really remember when one of these miners crashed (with quite some overclock and on more than a few rigs/GPUs). ETH (especially dual) and XMR are another story, at least for me. And I am talking about Windows...

I have 2 rigs with no overclocks, on both I get 1 card hanging on optiminer. Nice to get almost almost 350 sols more, but I don't need to check if CM 11.1 give problems, I know it's OK. With only 9 cards running I can't afford to leave cards hanging, so opti not working for me and I'm not the only one with this issue. Will use it if miner can run all my cards for days not hours. Sad

As the results (hash rate) with Opti are different compared to CM, for sure it puts another type of load of the GPUs (even if the average wattage is not that different -  I did not check it because I have no reason to do so). Maybe you are also hitting some limits? Many people are much too tight with their design/dimensioning, especially of PSUs, cooling and so on (I don't say YOU did it wrong Wink). I remember that in the past some even experienced problems just with newer releases of the same miner (especially with CM ETH dual) which delivered higher output but was also more demanding on the hardware. That's one of the reasons why I always recommend enough reserve - and it seems to be the right way.

have you guys notice that at flypool you don't get paid for the blocks you mine but for your hash rate at the time the block is paid that takes 5 hours or 120 blocks to mature? This said I'm mining elsewhere until I notice they are mining above luck. Wait 5 hours and jump in to collect :-)

Yes, I did notice that, back when I was pool mining ZEC. I see the problem, but short of miners coming onto the pool waiting until the blocks are fully confirmed, before they start getting payouts, I can't think of another way for it to be implemented. The pool could go ahead and payout immediately, as the blocks are found, but since ZEC is such a new network, that's not going to happen, at least not now. I know coinotron waits for the full confirmation before payout, as well. So, any Zcash pool that pays out shortly after you start mining on it, but waits for full confirmation on the blocks, must be doing the same thing as flypool.

or your rig goes down and you're not being paid for your mining time in particular if that was a lucky period. The other 2 pools i mine at (dwarf and suprnova) place the earnings in unconfirmed

Yes, that's what's missing on flypool, it doesn't implement the "credited to you, but not paid out" bucket. That certainly seems like the correct way to account for it. Thanks for mentioning that!

The other thing I don't like about ZEC is that the difficulty fluctuates +-15% day-to day, while eth (and even exp) is more steady.

Looking at the ZEC difficulty chart it seems the difficulty hasn't changed since Christmas.

The EXP difficulty is more volatile since whenever there is a pump it jumps quickly.

According to https://explorer.zcha.in/ difficulty is currently 878,000.  Earlier today it was over 1 million, and in the last week I've seen it as high as 1.3 million.
