Mining for the hell of it.
Likely will bump my order up to 3.  Just awaiting status update.

Status update as in what kind of update?

Like this?
Batch 1 Units should be to me by the end of next week.
Yes i know "should".. BUT Here is some BETTER news. They are being currently held due to making sure the firmware upgrade is all good. So The rumored 500-600kh/s is true. Shocked Cool Sorry for the delay.

out of curiosity why are the different group buys fluctuating from 160$/unit all the way to $400+/unit?
and can these things hash scrypt-jane?

Can't explain the price differences either. Sad

No it can't mine anything but "straight" scrypt should work (i.e. LTC, DOGE, and any others in the LTC-based scrypt family).

2 questions for you. First, if plugging these into a windows do they require a separate power supply for each unit or,can I just use a powered usb hub. Second, how many of these can be ran from a windows machine, third, is there a modified cgminer that will utilize these?

Thanks in advance.

Yes they require a separate PSU. Well windows limit is 100 something usb devices. Shocked  No it uses a modified version of CPU miner.

not to sound bad.. but what is the OP creditability? What prevents him from disappearing with the BTCs?

Sorry to bring this up, but too many hustlers around here

Nothing prevents me from running with the cash and BTC however I have no need to do that. Besides a little research over my SN and it won't take long for someone to find out who I really am. I am not trying to hide who I am.  Wink  Cool

Did batch1 get in yet? And was batch2 ordered?  Can we get an update?

Not yet. Last I heard they have gotten on hold for a firmware update. (The rumored 500-600KH/s) I will let yaw know as soon as I hear something. So sorry for the delay. Undecided

demonmaestro,

I held off sending BTC specifically because of all the craziness these last few days... I am still interested in 1 unit but now I am in a better position to just pay with PayPal.

Please try not to lock the order before giving us a heads up as to when you are about to send payment and get this batch ordered. I would like to pay you when you know you can send the order in.

I will PM you as well.

i thought the price was 0.472

I'm down for 4.

still confused on what exactly i would need to run these. just the power supply you are linking? eveything else will be provided ?

run them is the psu that i put on the main op.
If you are going to run them off of a windows machine then just plug the cable in the usb slot.

they were 0.472 for batch 1.

although with BTC dropping the price had to go up.

if prices keep dropping I will have to ask for more BTCBTCBTC. Those that paid via PayPal is still fine.

Is OP price of 0.55BTC each still valid for batch2?

Just let us know, if that's the case and it's significant I'll just take a refund.  Will let you know when the time comes.

Thank you very very much sir.  I have been trying to figure out how I'm going to power this unit for days.  I sprung for the 12V30A as I would like to purchase a few additional units down the line.

You said a fairly standard laptop power supply would drive one of these.  Did you mean the Gridseed unit or the power supply itself?

What do I need to drive the power supply?  I don't see a standard plug on the power supply in the pictures I have seen of people mining with these.  I have seen two (sometimes three) wires connected to the AC.  I assume I need something else to take the power from the wall into those AC inputs.  What do I need to power the 12V 30A power supply from the wall?  (I'm in the US if it helps on the type of power brick I need).

Sorry if these questions seem ridiculous.  I've been mining for a while first with USBs on MinePeon and now with cubes connected to the GS800 Corsair power supply.  However, this Gridseed unit has been a jump above my knowledge.  If you could link me to what I need I would appreciate it.  Also if you could PM me an address I'd like to send you a small tip.

sorry to take so long had a doctor appt today.

1st answer would be to drive the grid seed.
I see Demonmaestro answered the question on what power cord is needed.
(DON'T do A two wire only connection, make sure to connect ground and the neutral and hot) on the incoming power.

on the power cable from the site Demonmaestro pointed to.  the boxes would have L N and the ground symbol. Ground goes to green, N to white and L to Black.

El
