What is the hashrate for one of those?

300khs but new firmware is being tested and has reached 500-600khs

Is it new firmware or is a new board which just has 2x as many chips on it?  I was under the impression that Gridseed was going to create a new board with more chips (thus reach higher hash numbers) and drop it into a typical ATX style case...Am I completely mistaken???

New firmware.

Wow!  I'm speechless...I bought the LA3M which is 10 of these....I can't wait for the new firmware to be released....uh I guess I should wait till I get these in my hot little hands before I get all crazy abou the new firmware, huh? Tongue

Please go checkout the videos posted here: https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=14956

Seems like user hashware already has these and posted a few clips of the devices...assuming this GB is the same as what he ordered and shows in his videos, it looks like it comes with PSU, the devices, and various cables...I think the only thing I didn't see in that video was a powered 10port USB hub.

Thank you very much.

I hope it still comes with the power supply if you ordered 1 unit since it looks like when this guy hooked it up to a 12V PSU it fried his unit!

I have done a lot of searching and haven't been able to get a straight answer on what I need to use my unit when it comes.  I've seen conflicting information about what can power these.

I am planning on running this unit in LTC mode only.  Some people have suggested the USB is enough to power the device in LTC only mode?  Is this true?

If not, what kind of PSU do you need to power it?  Some sort of AC adapter?  Molex?  I have a PSU powering 2 cubes that has more than enough power to run this although I would not like to splice wires if there's any way around it.

So far I have a 10 port powered USB hub (Rosewill), the USB cables and a Windows PC to run the DualMiner software.

What else do I need?  Am I going to have to splice PSU cables or is there a AC adapter for sale somewhere?  If so any links would be appreciated so I can buy what I need now and have the unit running as soon as it arrives.  I have a bunch of DHUB-H7 power adapters that aren't being used as well.

Thank you in advance and if I missed a topic that covers this a link would be appreciated.

Do you know how many of these you can run off a USB hub?  I have one on order, but wondering if I add more, how that's going to work with power.  All the 10 and 20 unit vids I can see have some type of PSU powering them, not a USB hub.  I plan to get more, so would like to start getting the pieces I need in place.  if I can just connect 10 of these to a USB hub, sounds good, but I don't think that's going to work?

Looks like each puck will use about 6w of power, from what I can see, 10x of them use 60w in scrypt mode.  So if you are running one or two off a USB port, probably going to be fine, if you want to run many of these, you will need some form of PSU.

Anyone know what recommended PSU is used with these if you want to start with 1x and move up to 4x or more?
