Selectively enforcing KYC again?

@cloudbet_victim can you show us some proofs that your bet wasn't canceled? Screenshot would be fine.

@Cloudbet_victim - Players are unable to create accounts from IP addresses that originate from territories we are restricted in - UK, USA, HK, and Singapore.
Why Cloudbet allowed player to register account?
Your bets were cancelled because we are unable to allow players to bet from those locations.
When did cloudbet cancel bets, before, during or after match? Can you provide us proofs of your claim?
Why did cloudbet accepted bet if first place? You can't cancel something what is already accepted and payed. Period.

Have winners from next threads went trough KYC procedure:

Since Ive been visting this topic more frequently there have been only problems with Cloudbet and withdrawals.

This is like 20th case - just now sums got bigger.

Only a fool would call this situation accidental.

They make life miserable to all winning players, it's very clear. That is a definition of being shady or scammy.

RIDICULOUS NO WONDER CLOUDBET is being defined as Grade E house !

I was not betting from HK !  that's my point. Also, I don't even hold a HK passport. Are you saying that my fault is just to provide you an address proof in HK? Come on, everyone on earth could easily have more than 3 correspondence address. You are deleting bets which took place 10 days before you even received the docs !

You just simply closed the case like that confiscating me 4BTC from the winnings. That's fxcking telling all of us what a shady bookie CLOUDBET is !

@Cloudbet_victim - Thank you for finally providing the information required to investigate the issue for you. I've been in contact with our support teams and can now offer some information on the situation.

During your security checks it was discovered that you are from a country that we clearly state we are unable to offer our services to, and had been using a VPN to bypass the restrictions in place at Cloudbet. Your account was locked while this was verified, after which you were contacted via email (Saturday 24th November) and told that the account had been unlocked and you were allowed to withdraw your remaining funds before the account is permanently closed.

The bets were cancelled when this was detected as we can't allow people from those territories to gamble with us. This was done before the results were in, and you were refunded your stake.

As mentioned by manosqq above, many bitcoin casino and sportsbooks would take the use of VPN as a breach of T&Cs and use it as an excuse to confiscate player's funds. I believe our approach is more player friendly.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

"This was done before the results were in."   This is not true and you are misleading the public.

My last bet was on Nov 11, results were also finalized on Nov11. I submitted my documents to you on Nov 19. So yes, you are cancelling the bets, not before the results were in which is obviously a lie.

Under your T&C, it was stated that:
3.4. You will not use our services while located in any jurisdiction that prohibits the placing and/or accepting of bets denominated in bitcoin online, and/or playing casino and/or poker games for and/or with bitcoin.

3.5. You are permitted in the jurisdiction in which you are located to use online sports betting, casino and poker services.

I provided a Hong Kong address proof doesn't mean that I am from that country. As I am not registering with you using HK passport you neither.

Put it this way. Assume there are only two countries in the world: UK & HK.
UK allows online bets, where HK prohibits.
Under this situation, you should ban people browsing from HK, no matter he is from UK or HK. That is, British travelling in HK cannot / should not place the bets because it violates the local laws there.

I am not holding a HK passport, all I did is to provide an address proof in HK. You can’t prove that I was “located” in the jurisdiction that prohibits online gambling while I was placing the bets with you. Same case as casinos in Las Vegas wouldn’t ban people from HK and China gambling there because the action took place in US.

Anyway, you just used your free option to cancel winning bets unreasonably. This is the way Cloudbet SCAMMERS doing business !

Setting your standard at not confiscate players’ fund is really hilarious. I don’t kill you meaning that I am human friendly? Say thanks to me !

You are cancelling valid and legit winning bets AxxHO !

Don’t fall into CLOUDBET TRAPS !!

Cloudbet_victim - It’s now been over 24 hours since I first asked for your account name so that we could investigate this issue. Even though you have been unwilling to provide details our Support Team have invested significant time trying to understand your claim, but we can find no evidence to support the timeline laid out in your scam accusation. I will leave it to the community to conclude what that implies.

The thing I’d like to stress here is that there are always two sides to every story. I’ll admit that over the years Cloudbet hasn’t always been perfect when it comes to customer support, but we are taking the time to invest heavily in this area in order to improve the quality and speed of our responses.

It’s interesting that many of the accounts that were so quick to respond in support of the accusation have now gone silent, but I suppose that’s to be expected.

Lastly, I’d like to personally thank the members who were calling for evidence and transparency instead of immediately reaching for the pitchforks.

@manosqq - Thanks for sharing! Hopefully we'll be able to expand the list of regions we are able to operate in and welcome you back sometime in the future Smiley

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

I sent you my account details already. Check it out yourself. Don’t claim that you don’t know who am I and pretend innocent as always, Ronnie.

Strange enough, while you were claiming that you don't know who I am, I was being contacted by your team, after weeks of waiting (coincidentally Lol):
"As we do not accept players from Hong Kong, and you have circumvented the system to gain access to our services, we have terminated your account. All bets placed, which otherwise would not have been accepted, have been cancelled."

You asked for address proof, I sent you one with a Hong Kong address. However, I am not holding HK passport as I provided you. Also, I have an HK address proof doesn't mean that when I was placing the bets I was in HK. Instead, I was in a place where online gambling is legally allowed.

We are now in 2018, people can be travelling around the world all the time! There's no point at all you just cancelled my Winning bets simply like that. The story is crystal clear, Cloudbet is using lame excuses for not paying players.

Put it that way, if my bets are losing, I m sure you wouldn’t cancel those bets to return my initial deposits. You have rights to terminate any accounts as you wish, but what you can do is to pay out whatever inside the account on the cutoff day. Definitely not CANCELLING THE WINNING BETS CHEATER@CLOUDBET !

If you are strict, then why don’t you ask for all passports upon account opening, instead of just asking for email and taking deposits. If players lose, you happily take everything. If players win, you delay / challenge every single thing to give you reasons for not paying out! Free options like that, that’s CLOUDBET SCAM game !

Now I got back my initial deposit, 25BTC. Still missing my winnings of 4BTC!

CLOUDBET THIEVES HAS NO LICENSE, account opening and deposit they just don’t give a shit and take every single cent. Yet you pretend as if you are following strictest compliance on Earth upon withdrawals time. SCAMBET !

@Cloudbet_victim - I have now asked multiple times for your account details, which you seem reluctant to provide (privately or otherwise). I’m offering to try and help resolve this situation for you, but I can only do that if you give me something to work with.

Cloudbet stole 1 BTC of me a while ago. Ronnie keeps promising things but never delivers.

@CryptoBrainy - I've just checked and the last correspondence we had was on 10th September and involved you reporting problems with delayed withdrawals in the past (that were paid), which I apologised for and discussed the ways in which we are looking to improve our service to cut out the delays in the future.

As far as I am aware all of your withdrawals were issued after the delays, so if you have 1 BTC outstanding then please PM me your Cloudbet nickname and I'll investigate ASAP.

Thanks,

@Cloudbet_victim - I asked in your other thread but forgot here - could you please PM me with your Cloudbet nickname so I can investigate this issue for you? I'm looking through all the recent correspondence between our support teams and players but without a name it's taking a while to backtrack.

Edit: It's now 4:00pm UTC and still awaiting account details so I can investigate this issue for you. There's been some serious scam accusations and I would very much like to get to the bottom of this ASAP. Please can you send over your nickname or registered email address (via PM if you prefer).

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Roonie,

I don't think i need to tell you who I am, sxxker.
This is pathetic if this is what you regard as crisis management / damage control. Put it this way:

1) if you really don't know who I am - then why don't you share with us how many guys deposited 25BTC, won 5BTC, and being withheld 30BTC by you cheaters RIGHT NOW?  you are just making the whole thing looks even more scammy and fxxking scary ..

2) if you know who I am - then you are the worst actor of all time, just save your acting and give me the money back AxxHO

Either way, don't act innocent. Your PR skill xucks.

Morning all,

First of all, apologies for the slow response - as I've said before we don't have 24/7 coverage on BitcoinTalk so I've just got back to the office and seen all the threads and posts. I'm trying to catch up on the situation above now, but I'd like to firstly assure everyone that we are not 'disappearing' and the website downtime this morning was just for routine updates.

@Cloudbet_victim - I'm really sorry for the delay you have experienced with your withdrawal. Please let me assure you that we are not in the business of scamming bitcoin from our players - no company would last 5 years in a niche industry with those kind of practices.

I'm contacting our support teams at the moment to get an understanding of the situation and will get back to you as soon as possible with a response.

@4x4et - Our site was down this morning for an hour or two for routine maintenance, once again I would ask you to please stop spreading FUD.

@Angry0ne - Our teams are currently investigating the missing lines as reported by a few different players, but they are having trouble replicating the issue which is what is currently holding up the process. I'll get back to you asap with any updates they provide.

@vegasplayer1980 - We have a schedule of bonuses and promotions that run throughout the week, you can see them here.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

What is exactly FUD here - that your site was offline or that you haven't responded to 25 BTC ( $100.000) claim FOR 3 DAYS?

Yes, you are around for 5 years, as you claimed. But how would you expect players to trust you anymore when:
- you locked up an account without any reasons / emails for a month with 30BTC inside?
- do not respond when players not coming here? as if you are FBI and you can't comment on anything but frozen clients' assets like that ?
- there are thousands opportunities that you can get the money for good, eg players are not english-speaking so they couldn't spread your fraud here , illness during these few months , accidents etc

I just think no one should offer you FREE OPTIONs like that anymore. It's such an unfair game, given your shitting customer services and respond rate. The only tricks you have is telling people that you have 10 departments working then you have to chase up each other everytime.

Rooney , your online customer services and the frequency you visit here are exactly the same as the frequency wayne rooney playing soccer , twice a week.
What a job , working twice a week ! Good SCAM company

Why dont you shxt ur fxxk up, stop asking people to stop spreading whatever FUD and Pay me back my god dam 30BTC !!
