Yup working here too, thanks Tittiez (always wanted to say that)

You might want to update the original post with the new port?

Thanks, done.

Believe it or not, I didn't actually increase or decrease stales.
I just changed it to accept shares up to 45 seconds late instead of 15 seconds late.
Really, we are probably all mining about 30-40% stales right now, but so is EVERY OTHER POOL.
So really, we aren't loosing anything!

Does that make any sense? Tongue

I just did it so people will stop bitching about stales, something every other pool has a problem with right now due to the low difficulty.

Sorry define "overstale shares"?

The stale shares were 30+ minutes old.

Just to confirm port went from 1024 to 2048?

Yes. Too many miners were sending waaaay overstale shares to 1024. It was overloading P2Pool.

I guess it wasn't made to handle these many clients.

Just applied another fix:

Stales should be greatly reduced. I increased the share time from 15 to 45 seconds. This may take some time before it becomes noticeable.

Is there a reason why the shares are at 15 difficulty by default now?

They'll fix themselves, give it a few minutes.

Pool is updated.

Changes:
- Fixed memory leak.
- P2Pool difficulty shares should be easier to find for small miners. <---- Not 100% sure I fixed this issue.
- WE ARE NOW A SINGLE NODE. No longer are we part of P2Pool. Our hashrate is large enough to be a single node.
- Payments will be far fewer then before, but they should be bigger sums. <---- Not 100% sure.

Having major problems since that crash. Every single miner who was still pointed at the pool kept generating shares for the dead pool. Now P2Pool is using up an entire cpu because hundreds of stale shares are being sent at it at once.

Speak english. I got a buy order to fill...

The pool is down and I just fixed it. The new port is 2048.

What do you mean by a "commit"

Github.

I'm having a few issues, hold on.

Since the pool crashed I decided to apply the commit again. Lets see if it does well this time. If it doesn't, I think we have a high enough hashrate that I can apply my own fixes. The downside to my own fixes is that we will be a single node, not connected to other ones.
