I fail to see the obvious benefits of people believing in flat young earth. 

Everything is "of the gaps." If you are married, your husband or wife probably spends a little time away from you. Perhaps he/she has a job somewhere, while you stay home with the kids. There is a gap there, where you just have to trust that he/she is doing right and good.

Forget all this silly stuff about a god of the gaps. Oh that's right. You did forget momentarily, while you were sleeping. So, you even have sleep gaps in your life.

Once in a while even so-called atheists say something smart. When they do, it's a gap in their atheism stupidity.

And the biggest religious scam is the religion of atheism. After all, nobody KNOWS for a fact that God DOESN'T exist. And when so-called atheists realize this, they have just had their atheism destroyed in themselves. Yet they go on, clinging blindly and stubbornly to their one doctrine, that God doesn't exist, when they know that they might easily be wrong. How pathetic!

This God does not help you understand how it all came about.  It complicates things as you have one more thing you have to explain.

Filling our gaps in knowledge with God is a cop out.

True. Reading the Bible does not save. Believing what it says is believing that Jesus saves. Believing is what saves.

Jesus saves, and it is free. Neither Mafia bosses nor parents can do this.

Jesus God saves. He does it through your faith in Him. The Bible is the only place that talks about this accurately.

Regarding the Bible, it's about time that people step up out of the quagmire of their stupidity, and start believing what it says, and then living what they learned to believe from it.

All the holy books contain verses which are not compatible with the current cultural ethos. The bible is not an exception. Similar verses can be found in the Quran, the Bhagvat Geeta, and the Tripitaka.

I believe in the saying that says no religion can save you so forget about it. The main point here is that there is a creator the greatest of all greatest. We Christians call him God i dont care if you have another nsme for it but he is the creator and their is no need to argue regarding with to it
