Information about Smooth Investment Fund

I've received a few questions about Smooth Investment Fund.

Answers:

1. The IPO price is 1m per share

2. The number of shares is unspecified. We are currently at approximately 1200 shares.

3. Investments may be made in cash (moneritos) or assets. Assets will be valued at their midprice in order to calculate shares. Market makers are not eligible to invest their own assets, and if I feel the asset price is being manipulated, I may refuse the investment (you are welcome to invest cash though).

4. The investment fund will use the cash generated by the IPO to buy assets.

5. Assets used to purchase shares in the IPO may be held by the fund, or sold to purchase other assets

6. The management fee is charged on price appreciation only, only once (if the price doubles, then halves, then doubles again, you are only changed the fee once), and only when a share offering or redemption (buy back) occurs. No fee is charged in connection with secondary market trading (you can sell your shares at a profit and pay no fee, though the buyer may eventually be charged a fee). Distributed dividends are not charged a fee.

Smooth QC has now received bids for 91 shares (out of 100 planned to be offered) at 2.  

The Smooth Investment Fund (which will receive 100 shares of Smooth QC) IPO will close simultaneously with the Smooth QC IPO. Once the investment fund IPO is closed, shares may only be purchased on the secondary market until and unless the fund management decides to open a secondary offering.

Bids will remain open for at least 24 hours.

Request for Indications of Interest: Smooth Fund and Smooth QC

Lord smooth is accepting indications of interest for the formation and first round of shares (IPO) of an Smooth Investment Fund, to serve as a holding and management vehicle for various in-game assets. The Corporation will be seeded with assets from the personal holdings on Lord Smooth and several other characters being managed by Lord Smooth.

The fund management will be provided by Smooth Investment Management Corp (SIMC), a newly-formed corporation wholly owned by Lord smooth. Management fees will be paid as a 20% commission on net share gains realized on any future secondary offering or redemption of shares (to occur at the discretion of the fund management).

SIMC will make a secondary market in shares of the fund.

The investment strategy will be to hold a diversified basket of in-game assets, with a goal toward a higher weighting in undervalued assets. The fund will not engage in borrowing/leverage, but may invest in assets which leverage underlying holdings. 25% of dividends will be distributed real-monthly, 75% will be reinvested. This dividend policy may be changed at the discretion of management.

IPO shares may be acquired with cash, or (at the discretion of the manger) by contributing publicly traded assets which will be valued at their mid-price at the time of closing.

In connection with this offering, 20% of smooth QC (100 shares) will be floated to the public (initial price talk of 2.5/share -- please make offers), and 20% will be contributed to the investment fund, valued at the IPO price.

Information about smooth QC. We are "into the stone" and currently profitable with stone sold recently at 151 (annual revenue about 68m) and a cost of 111 (annual costs about 50m). In addition to other assets the quarry corp owns 2000 CKG valued at approximately 0.6m per share. We are scaled up for larger production and rumors indicate that far more stone is available to be quarried at the site, though this of course can not be guaranteed.

Important notice concerning the T_MON entries to HM The King and the Town

It has been found lately that the finances of His Majesty and The Most Ancient Town of CryptoTown have become increasingly complex. We therefore proclaim from the platform of the Royal Palace the following:

"Every entry to HM and Town will have to be accompanied with a note telling its purpose, and these notes be in the same order that the entries. From A.D. 1533, if this rule is not followed, the misdemeanor is charged with a 10 million m fine, for repeated offenses by the losing of house and administrator rights."

At the same time we are grateful that we have so many faithful admins and The Town Council are considering monetary compensation for the ones doing the tasks for the public good, and our Majesty is considering more honors and glories to bestow on these pillars of the society.

Noble Palace

Over the many decades this structure has provided much to our great city, it has come to the attention of it's management that some of the newer nobility are not so aware of what membership offers.  Ownership is offered to ALL nobility and additional shares are made available upon promotion to each new rank.  Price rises gradually each year with property valuations, but also may fluctuates with the price of gold (there is much gold in the Noble Palace, over 3000 grams of it gilding the halls and artifacts).  The price of these award shares is automatically determined.
Prince Joseph also happily offers to purchase any unwanted shares at any time, and there are often other buyers also.  Nobility that has been recognized by HM is also welcome to approach any other noble member and make whatever deal suits them.  What is done between consenting adults is your own concern.

The Noble Palace thus is not owned by any one Noble, but collaboratively by all of the nobility members.  It is your Noble Castle and the first of this innovative ownership form, corporations, est in the Kingdom.

A partial list:

• A measure of exclusivity by catering only to the noble classes and so may be a welcome respite at times for this alone.  
• Concierge services, in order to provide anything that may be found within the Crypto Kingdom's Capital
• A home to many of our nobility as they have undergone construction of their City Palaces
• Membership is a sound investment, no management fees are charged nor administrative costs, and it backed by gold held
• Curating of artistic works from all lands
• Hotel offering the very highest luxury available in the city, expert staffing and flawless service
• Restaurant, meeting rooms, entertainments.
• Negotiation assistance, there is always someone nearby to help make a complex deal more simple.

The greatest benefit is of course the other members, and whilst each of these alone would be a reason to celebrate within its walls, but to take a single example:  Concierge services.

As the Kingdom grows and becomes ever more expansive there may be goods and services that would be sought and not easily found... or perhaps found in parts of the Greater Kingdom where a person of good breeding might not want to find themselves.  This is where the NP concierge services have no peer and can provide a way to search for, and accomplish whatever it is that you need to make what you want to have happen, privately.

As mentioned recently NP was gifted with many crates of what we have learned is called "Amber" and have inlaid this into mosaics on some of the walls.  Prince Joseph is also granting a small endowment to be used for this luxury upgrade and also to hire "the amber artisan" as a permanent staff member to continue beautifying with his interior designs using this unique local stone and other embellishments.  Also hired an additional security man who the artist has recommended to NP management.  The two of them seem to get along very well in any case.

As some know, the Artist is a former quarrier who was injured on the job site and subsequently relegated to sweeping up the mostly empty warehouses and keeping them free of vermin.  It was in those warehouses that he started polishing the amber and arranging them in ever more beautiful designs which were arrayed out upon the expansive warehouse floors.  Having spent almost a decade doing this with increasing skill and success, (and taken up quite a bit of warehouse floorspace¹, for which some of our investors offered admonishments) the management brought it to the attention of the NP curators who immediately recognized its worth and funded his upkeep from then on, and now you can finally see the results.

¹NLQI wishes to offer apology to any other quarries that followed this lead and overbuilt their own warehouses without knowing what was happening inside.

Sunday - no updates to quarry inputs.

The Army has turned to buyer of stone. There are many things that need to be strengthened in the defences, we have even heard rumors that the neighboring country of Polonia is interested in our gold, but does not regard our citadel as siege-worthy. Which tbh we agree with  The army is buying 5 million stone at a set price of 125, which our Department of Economics has calculated to offer reasonable profit to the functioning quarries. When the N_STONE column of the Army indicates that 5 million stone is bought, the offer expires. Any admin is entitled to make these trades. Please sell your excess stone to the Army, it will be put to good use to strengthen our defences, and no part of it will be sold to depress the markets.

The Earl of Soul has decided to donate the Main Building of the University. The Chancellor is expected to contact us with a wishlist concerning the design. It will be His Majesty's work.

The Hall of Justice building in 2-C will be ready soon. The development is 4-floor, 10 quadrats in total. The town hosts 6 q and the ABC Corp the remaining 4 q. Apart from the namesake, 15x7 m e=13 h=7 Hall of Justice with 6 m high windows towards the square, the building features the Long Hall, New City Town Registry hall, 18 offices for town employees, The Vault $$$ Tavern and New City Department Store operated by the Town Council, The Casino by ABC Corp, $$$$ restaurant "Nord", 18 *** hotel rooms and suites (upgradeable to **** with lux upgrade), and a 4-story high and 50 m long colonnade to the south with balconies and arcades. The building has a total 120 m of facade to the TIE Square and the adjacent main streets and it is a magnificent example of the New City architecture. The costing is not done yet

Earl of Soul wants to buy game assets

The Earl Paul of Soul, Ph.D, is interested in increasing his assets and is making the following bids for purchase:

- The Town Hall stock 3.5 million per unit (original price was 1.0 million, and recent trades happened in 2.0-2.6 range)
- Any land in the 1-C chapelry for 150 million/q or more, depending on the land
- Any productive enterprise (land+building with servicepool%), based on the income
- House(s) in Earls' Street

They were found in the rubble washings, near the surface in NLQI.
We've been warehousing them.

Some of the ones without the bugs we may use to decorate the Long Gallery sun room in Noble Palace to celebrate a century of peace.  There are crates of this strange soft gold rock, but the geologist assures us that there is not any gold in it.
Still they are pretty with a bit of work.  If any of the nobles would like some crates to use for their own purposes, they may have them also.

The University gladly accepts the generous gift of the strange rocks.

They will for now be stored in the archives, as they are not something of obvious interest to our Military Sciences department, but soon we will have more philosophers and scholars who may be able to make sense of them.

In the RAQ we found some rocks with some strange shapes.

The geologist does not think them suitable for building but might be good for the University.

ANN: Crypto Kingdom - New Player Starter Kit


The game Crypto Kingdom is now 71 days old, and it is booming. We are soon ready with the interactive online version, which will allow easy gameplay and minimized admin work. We are seriously hoping that this game will receive an audience comparable to the most successful of the current MMORPG. This is just so fun!

Fun, helping Monero to grow, and a possible profit, could be your motives to start in CK with the Starter Kit. The Starter Kit is a customizable collection of choice game assets and the management service for them for 2 months. During that time, you can take control of your character any time. As long as you don't, the wealth manager will reinvest your income to buy more of the same kind of assets that you already own.

The CK gameworld (all ingame gold, land, buildings, resources and items) is valued at about 180,000 XMR (3% of all XMR). The game is growing about 2% per day and has a realistic chance to turn the tables for Monero!


The Starter Kit contains:

Gold (total available: 5,000 XMR worth, minimum 10 XMR, max 1000 XMR)

Gold is a limited resource that is generated slowly according to an algorithm. It stakes two kinds of income: stone and money (moneretos=XMR). CK does not have a "game company" that would need to make profit. All profits that the game makes are dealt back to the players instead, in proportion to the gold they own. It is advisable to buy at least 30 XMR worth of gold to get the best staking.

Long Bond (total available 3,000 XMR worth, minimum 50 XMR, in 50 increments, max 1000 XMR)

The long bond is issued by the Town. You invest 50 XMR, the Town pays back 100 XMR after 1 year. The bond is guaranteed by the Town and the King, but with no real-world assets. In other words, if the game exists in 1 year, you get the payment, if not, then you don't.

Land (total available 3,000 XMR worth, minimum 25 XMR, in 25 increments, max 1000 XMR)

Investing in land has been a very popular and very profitable hobby of the gamers. The asking price of land in the Old Town has risen up to 200 XMR/quadrat. Now it is possible to buy undeveloped land in the New City for 25 XMR/quadrat. Will this land experience the similar rise in value, now as the most expensive and luxurious building in town, the House of Magnificence, is also constructed in the New City, in a walking distance to this land? Time will tell.

Grand Hotel shares (total available 1,000 XMR worth, minimum 30 XMR, max 300 XMR)

The Most Ancient Grand Hotel Corporation is by some measures the largest corporation in the town, and it owns and operates several hotels, apartments, and restaurants. The "New Grand Courtyard" is under planning to the New City and this is a good occasion to issue more stock to finance the construction. The Corporation does not pay dividends but its share price has increased from 0.1 to 0.38 XMR in its about 40 days of existence.

L4 house (25 XMR, 13 available, you may only buy one)

This basic 20 sqm / 10% luxury house is located in the New City outskirts on its own 1 quadrat lot, and is suitable for a character up to L4. Being an L4 character earns you about 14 XMR/month currently, so buying a house is strongly recommended. (The price is subsidized; these houses are not for sale to the existing players - as you can compare, we are selling plain land for the same price!)

L6 house (80 XMR, 8 available, you may only buy one)

This simple 51 sqm / 20% luxury 2-story house is located in the Old Town SE chapelry on its own 1 quadrat lot, and is suitable for a character up to L6. Being an L6 character earns you about 36 XMR/month currently. (House does not guarantee promotion to level 6.)

L10 house (500 XMR, 6 available, you may only buy one)

This elegant townhouse/"pocket palace" is architect designed and constructed according to order, facing south over a peaceful street, near the prestigious King's Park area and equally near the bustling Culture Square, in the NE chapelry in the Old Town. Every house is different, with at least 200 sqm and 100% luxury on its own 2 quadrat lot. It is suitable for up to L10 (Earl). While it is unlikely to be promoted Earl when under wealth management (unless the wealth is quite large), the house is a unique piece of the Old Town, which is forever limited to 1,350 quadrats, and only about 30 of them remain unsold.

One of the existing admin players will be assigned to be your wealth manager, so your crowdfunding investment will grow as the game progresses and your character gains levels automatically.

Quarry update

Production has again increased.

Not all quarries are operating efficiently, though, and there remains improvements in all of them.

Major hints:
- Almost every quarry can produce stone at about 50 m/stone at some point in their life, provided that the organization is efficient.
- The largest single inefficiency is needless warehouse space. Stone need not be warehoused, that would be funny. 100 shovels do not need 100 sqm space. 
- The organization is as good as its weakest link.
- Officers without office space are not half as productive as they'd be in good conditions.
- Having enough handheld tools should not be mentioned but it has in fact curtailed the production of many a quarry.
- The secret code includes all the information that makes one quarry site different from another.
- Quarries are not interrelated.

The growth rate of tourism (mechanism: money transferred yearly from Town to Services to illustrate the "export of services") is simply astounding. It used to be 50 million per 2 years when the time was halved 10 years ago; now it has climbed to 50 million per year!

The list of esteemed buildings needs to be updated. Soon the owners of these buildings will also benefit (services pool) from the listing!
