Find out who you are and do it on purpose
Cryptopia is very good for alts coins.

But it lags constantly, the chat is near imposible to load without the browser hanging for a short while.

Any tips as to how to get Cryptopia to work flawlessly?

Cheers

I'm happy that you've got 2FA working, but the lock my account button does exactly that - we try not to use additional confirmation boxes wherever possible. You can either log a support ticket to get your account unlocked, or wait out the 24 hours until it auto-unlocks.

@progmax - if you use the same username on Cryptopia as you do here, we haven't had a support ticket from you in a couple of months...?

The problem is that I can not log into my account.
I am writing through the form https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Support, but no one is responding. This lasts for the second month.

Good afternoon!
I've been sending messages to the support team for a whole month already. You do not get any answers. What's the matter?

What's going on with coin icons?

It's a caching thing after a coin gets added, ctrl+f5 should get rid of it after a few minutes. It's one of those things where we know what causes it and how to stop it from happening, but because it's cosmetic, fixing it isn't very high up the todo list at the moment.

@wtman - i can't say much more without getting myself in hot water, but you'll get to know how it works in a relatively near future.

It wouldn't be fair to say that DOT holders will benefit directly from the new token.

The mobile interface is indeed not completed, the reason for that being that we hired people that knew what they were doing in that area to get that started, only that not much at all of what they're done so far is out in the wild. Some of the new stuff looks pretty cool, and of course, is mobile device friendly.

Regarding CLAM coin, after I read that I had to go hug someone in support, yikes...

Thanks for the response. I'd love to see cryptopia catch up more, and if I can propose some ideas while having a position in the DOT house token, that's even more exciting.

Assuming you are doing some sort of feeshare token, one idea I was thinking is that you let people purchase the initial batch, maybe a pre sale using DOT, or offer people a special bonus if they purchase with DOT. That way they benefit from trusting in the house token.

Another related idea I was thinking, possibly, create a second (virtual) feeshare token which comprises maybe 10% of the exchange's feeshares and is just pegged to DOT, so if you have DOT in your cryptopia account, you automatically get this 2nd token credited. This token is not tradeable and only exists virtually on cryptopia. You get paid the fees earnings from this virtual token as long as you keep the DOT. When you sell the DOT, this virtual token disappears from your account too. Meanwhile, people can also additionally hold the other feeshare token which together comprises 90% of the exchange's feeshares.

So, in addition to the actual feeshare token (comprising 90% of exchange's fees), you can have a second virtual token (comprising 10% fees) which only shows up in the account as long as we keep DOT on topia, so it kind of encourages holding DOT asset.

My thanks goes to Cryptopia - I logged in to find an equal number of BCH to the amount of my BTC that is held for orders at the moment in my wallet list.  Hopefully other exchanges are doing likewise.

Yesterday while using it I saw I got a bit of Bitcoin cash credited, I sent it to the Dustbin. I know it wasn't a lot but everything is good. This says, only today I discovered the "Night" mode  Roll Eyes

hi, sorry to bother you serious faced men but do you plan to list Adshares (ADST) on Cryptopia exchange?

If the devs/whoever approaches us to list it, sure?

I did notice you were the last of the exchanges to enable your wallets to allow bch (as you named it for bitcoin cash because bcc was taken by bitconnect token  Roll Eyes ) and the price for it is the worst because everybody dumped their coins already on there.
Even hitbtc is catching up to what you have it for and they were the very first ones to have it fully trading and their wallets enabled.
Come on now.
No excuse because your on the other side of world than the last one to release transactions to their wallets.
I am talking about the big trex on that accomplishment of being a debacle.

I just... have no idea what you're trying to say or ask or accuse of something or what...?

You should of enabled the wallets before you all "went to bed" last night.

You think people running an exchange go to bed while BTC is forking? ... really? .... like seriously?
I think you'll find that most admins at exchanges are starting to forget what their wives and children look like.

Us and every other exchange could have split the coins, added markets and unpaused everything in 5 minutes if we wanted to. Our scripts to do this were written well in advance. The reason exchanges allowed trading but kept deposits and withdraws disabled is because we could guarantee that BCH/BTC in the system after the doors closed would be 1:1, but the exchanges couldn't actually split the coins, start moving them around to avoid attacks until BCH was actually producing blocks - thats why the doors (deposits/withdraws) stayed closed at all exchanges for quite a while after.

Did you expect us as an exchange to go "oh well, it's only 100% of our collective customer funds at risk, what could go wrong, yolo"?

I have recently bought #CLAM from Cryptopia and still couldn't withdraw it to my wallet. May I know what is the issue?

When a wallet is showing a beige colour instead of white this means the coin's wallet is in maintenance mode...

Your image implies that coin is in maintenance mode.

The very fact there is a black dialogue box actually stating that the coin is in maintenance mode also means the coin is in maintenance mode...  Roll Eyes

It then goes on to give a reason being a server migration is in progress...  Roll Eyes

I like cryptopia because of its great features and many cryptocurrencies. Support is very good and deposits/withdrawels always worked fine.
One aspect could be better not only cryptopia but many exchangers. The mobile interface is not finished at my opinion and could be improved.

Yep, talking about recaptcha. For some reason it's really aggressive when logging into Cryptopia - I have to consistently solve more puzzles than with any other site.

Street signs are from all around the world, but all of the shopfronts show text in a South Americanish language. What's wrong with shopfronts elsewhere?  Tongue

(You may be able to tell I get hit with recaptcha a LOT... but I'm a fucking human. I think.)

If you are logged in a Google account, you don't need to click any image, just the "log in" button. As logged in a google account, you are considered clean and human in the eye of google. But still boring if each time you have to log in a google account to show you're not a bot Cheesy

As someone that has to be logged into 2 accounts on 2 machines almost permanently, i understand your pain, and sweet sweet release from recaptcha is already in test.

Thanks a lot for my sanity! I will wait to see the change with patience. I will be very happy
