doesnt matter - read above - problem solved. Now all the Nancy's can go worry about someone else's trust list instead of mine - pretty much guaranteed the only people that care are the handful here on this thread.

Escrowing isn't the problem, but when you edit your Trust settings, you see this:
If you're on DT1, your Trust list choices affect many other forum users too.

That was not my intended outcome when I posted this, but it's up to you of course.

Your intention was different from the result: when you're on DT1, your choices do affect others. I don't think you should use your Trust list as a personal reminder of who you dealt with.

Blacklisting (on request) isn't quite like it sounds, it just prevents you from being in DT1 but you can still use the trust list any way you want. Now that you removed your list you won't get into DT1 next month anyway so keeping the list but asking to be blacklisted is a good suggestion.

OTOH, to keep track of your deals you can use neutral trust ratings. If you send someone a neutral rating you will see a =1 on that person's profile but it won't affect anyone else the way trust lists do, plus you have a date and a text of your choosing attached to it so it's arguably a lot more convenient for that kind of tracking.

Welp, I've offered you a simple solution to a problem which you clearly describes as one you don't want to take part in.. Unless you actually do want to be DT1 then it's a different story.

EDIT; All it means with the DT1 blacklist is that you can't get voted into to DT1, that's about it - nothing else changes.

no I will not do that either, I do not want any bullshit flags or blacklisting done to me or my account. And I will focus on my own dealings - and everyone else should too.

People need to stop worrying about trust lists and using the excuse it is to protect newbies - please newbies wont know how to even look at someone's trust list and may not even take the time to look at trust rating and reviews (which is really the only place anyone should look) They should simply block everyone from seeing anyone's trust list as it really is more for that person than anything. But then so many people with absolutely nothing better to do than have their head up someone's elses ass and business would simply have nothing to do. And we cannot have that now can we?

I'd merit this if I had any to give, as it is the real solution to avoid drama and still be on DT2 at least.

I will eventually do it, but not yet, as I still care about this forum.

You can DM theymos and ask him to blacklist you from DT1, that will let you just focus on your own dealings without much issue being taken from anyone else. I did, never looked back, never been happier on this forum

Yea I trusted Steeley - he had several deals with me with no issues. dont worry though - removed everyone now.

yea I tried that - all I got was more DM's - I just turned em all off. In the end it was more for me to remember who I had positive dealings with - it was not done to affect anyone else. but apparently it does so meh - just remove it. Now watch me get blasted for not having someone listed...

Idk about you, but I’d trust high value collectibles traders much more with “trades”, than a bunch of newbs just out to accomplish......what exactly?

Not going to lie that old system was a shit show. People were so entrenched in certain camps, non DT's actually had to be exercise some caution at times when expressing their views. The fact that retaliatory or negating trust feedbacks were a thing and even necessary was so far beyond fucked up it was gross.

This system isn't perfect but it actually allows everyone to participate, and potentially be included if overall they are within acceptable practices governed by the community.

I know it can be confusing and there is sometimes a disconnect to some extent between collectibles/marketplace and the rest of the forum about how it can be used. Personally my advice is re-add them when you've seen them interact with other individuals in trades, or in leaving appropriate feedback. In the meantime positive or neutral feedback depending on your threshold are 100% appropriate for someone you've done business with. This will also only come up when you are a DT1 member, as it does gran people in your list a role of some significance. Have a good one

I think the main point is that since you're on DT you have a responsibility to be extremely conservative about who you put in your trust list and who you give positive feedback to, because someone could easily misuse both a position on DT and/or a green trust. 

Jeez, things used to be so much simpler (and better IMO) when it was extremely hard to even get on DT2.  The first time I made the list, I recall hilariousandco or Lauda created a thread just to discuss some potential new DT2 additions. 

Now it's like a free-for-all and it seems like it doesn't mean much to be a DT member anymore.  But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful about maintaining your trust list if you are on DT.

You are correct. People added to your trust list is definitely up to you. It's all about trusting their judgement, generally in relation to feedback they leave or stances they take on the forum. Leaving them positive feedback would make more sense in having escrowed multiple deals for them and them having been responsible and truthful.

Again you can add whoever you want but the purpose of a custom trust list is to make their useful feedback visible to you, and by extension users of Default trust when you are DT1. So when their only feedback is a positive left for yourself it can appear you're padding your trust score. That's just the optics of it.

Either way, as always with trust lists and feedback. Do what works for you, others will do what works for them.

Trust lists means you trust a users judgement and ability to give out feedbacks, escrowing a deal for a user of itself would likely not reveal that they are fit to be in default trust. Of course you could know the user personally beyond what is made public on the forum and have a good reason for adding them.

True, your trust list is personal and usually only visible to you. Except of course you are on DT, then your trust list determines which users feedback counts (is shown by default) and which doesn't.

I escrowed some deals for the member - is that an issue? I was under the impression that trust lists were managed by each user. If the user gives anyone a reason to not trust them and they present the case and/or the user gives me an issue to not trust them, I will remove them.

And indeed, DT1-member MoparMiningLLC added this Brand new user to DT2. I consider this inappropriate use of the Trust system, and Trust Selfscratching.
Note that this Trust inclusion doesn't show up in my Trust list viewer, because users without any posts aren't included in theymos' weekly Trust data dump.
