Just because you think mining is going to die, doesn't mean it will. You never know what will happen with bitcoin. And even if mining does die, that doesn't spell the end for bitcoin.

No chances of it to die these days... from the looks of everything, it seems like it is gonna get more and more popular everyday, at least for next few years.

The issue of using to much electricity will slowly become less a issue with Tesla working on new ways to make more power out of less energy use.
Pace at which this company is pushing forward will eventually bring something awesome to the table that will revolutionize the way we look at enegy as source. So this aspect I think is going to change eventually and we will maybe face a blip before getting back on track.

Bitcoin may face a evolution though and that could create a stronger spin off which would turn Bitcoin into something like Atari during the gaming console faze and get left behind or more like blackberry.

Bitcoin is growing and getting more important. The only way that Bitcoin could actually die would be if nobody was willing to mine, trade and use btc and that is impossible. I don't see bitcoin dying anytime soon.

Yeah I would agree with you, bitcoin will not die in future also, It has the strong potential to grow larger and larger from Present. People will adopt bitcoin very soon. Then all will see it potential and no more threads will not create for these kind of dumping about bitcoins.

It depends on what would you consider as dieing if you mean dropping in price a little bit then yeah it's going to die lots of times. But it terms of dissapearing then no. There will always be some people using it. Even if you don't see or know them there using in some way, shape or form.

As long as there are nodes and there are people who possess bitcoin, it will not die. When all the nodes are gone then bitcoin will die... until the nodes come back on.  Cheesy

thats true but people might easily lose their interest in it if the governments would ban it or the price starts going down really fast

in my opinion this will never happen though everything is possible actually as bitcoin price and governments are unpredictable

Bitcoin will die when farms of bitcoin close their doors left the bitcoin vulnerable to an attack, and this will only happen if the community left or stop support bitcoin, that is something i doubt is going to happen.

Well that really wont be happening, people love bitcoin so much and will continue to support it no matter what happens.

The mining is becoming too expensive and none profitable. I think that will bring uᴉoɔʇᴉq to an end. Another problems is that there is only a few miners left controlled by a few making them controlling moondollars. It's no longer the currency of the people but a currency of the few rich companies that runs the show.....but for how long can the continue?

I have been looking at Rimbit  instead since it is premined and therefore don't need the middleman with the expensive hardware for transaction validation. Instead the validation is done by the wallet's running on peoples computers. As I see it it's a currency for the people and it will stay that way. Sadly it's still fairly unknown.

Time will show how long moondollars survive but my guess is not more than 3 years......please challenge that statement with serious arguments.

now bitcoin has become the most powerfull crypto currecny, and i'm sure bitcoin will hold out so long. so far bitcoin have die many times, but bitcoin stay alive with many effort by people.

Yes bitcoin is getting more powerful and popular day by day so I don't think it will die soon, it will survive for longer period of time then only thing it needs is  the support from the community.

Those talks about death don't have any other reason except causing some turbulence on market now when we awaiting block halving and significantly price increasing .. But there would be always be haters.
I think people just say it's in their interest as to make bitcoin users become frightened
whereas for bitcoin could die it needs to be a reason that was superb, little reason not to make bitcoin be dead and gone
halving make bitocin more stronger

why are you thinking about that now. Bitcoin tops the cryptocurrencies' chart and second place is Ethereum which is worth $ 11.45 US dollars. We are currently worth $ 420.95 US dollars and we are still growing. That is a big gap to close and that is going to take a while. it is not going to happen anytime soon. Smiley Smiley Smiley
