bitcoin is the future revolution for the economy and simple never die!
Bitcoin will not die as long as people dont forgot or waste their bitcoins, every satoshi counts now as the value rises. Its impossible besides almost half a million are now using bitcoin around the world.
Well currently the core team around bitcoin isnt worryed about when the mine ends,but they should as that will be the main problem,how to keep miners active,this will be the point of bitcoin keep or die.
Bitcoin is either going to die relatively soon but if it can overcome that hump then I think it'll be here to stay. It's easy to forget that the reducing block rewards act as a time bomb to an extent.
The mining is becoming too expensive and none profitable. I think that will bring Bitcoin to an end. Another problems is that there is only a few miners left controlled by a few making them controlling Bitcoins. It's no longer the currency of the people but a currency of the few rich companies that runs the show.....but for how long can the continue?
i dont think bitcoins going to be ending anytime soon. the currency has too much invested into it for it to just die. if anything it will die slowly, when people start pulling out their funds. Mining is profitable, therefore no one would mine. If some people think it's not profitable, the difficulty will drop, and some other people in some other place with a better ratio of electricity/cost will take advantage of the decreased difficulty to start a mining business... Bitcoin network will always adapt, it's a free market.
No other coin is anywhere near being competition to Bitcoin, so sit down and wait because it's not going to die anytime soon.

This is is the best explanation to your question if Bitcoin will die. Bitcoin is highly adaptable as it was designed that way.
Not anytime soon, people have used many different kinds of money trough out history, bitcoin will definitely not be the endgame for currencies, but I think it'll have a longer lifespan than the dollar.
Bitcoin is a complete revolution, and it's supported by millions of people around the world. It will not die so easy as you said above.

There is a fear that Bitcoin could die when we reach the final number of mined coins. What will happen then? Hope that will not happen but it's possible.
I really don't see bitcoin going anywhere. The community core is here to stay for the long term. Like anything else, there will be growing pains.
For now bitcoin is strong and there is not tell when it will fall. I hope it will be many more years as we still have room for bitcoin's improvement, evolution and changes.

I have been looking at Rimbit instead since it is premined and therefore don't need the middleman with the expensive hardware for transaction validation. Instead the validation is done by the wallet's running on peoples computers. As I see it it's a currency for the people and it will stay that way. Sadly it's still fairly unknown.
Time will show how long Bitcoins survive but my guess is not more than 3 years......please challenge that statement with serious arguments.

i dont think so,bitcoin will stay alive until more than 5 years again,this year maybe will decide how long bitcoin would life and stay adopted by many people,lets see and wait.
You can kill almost everything if you know what and how you must do that. I only cannot find right motive for this kill, and i believe this can't die suddenly by itself.

One thing is sure bitcoin will die only if we left it ,if we keep here supporting it wont gonna happen.Even when the last coin being mined it wont happen since a new way to keep the miners active with their hash to protect bitcoin should happen.

The last bitcoin will be earned in 2140 and even after this bitcoins still will be useable. At my opinion bitcoin will die when people will stop using it.
