I didn't buy at $1200 but I know if i had the money, I definitely would of. Now it seems just picking up a few bitcoins for $300-$400 seems like a relative bargain at the price at those times. The real issue is how long individuals are willing to wait and the amount of coins they have in their possession until bitcoin is widely used. I myself have some bitcoins which in the foreseeable future have no intention on spending.

I bought at 1250$ in my local exchange. Some people bought at 1400$ because our market is crazier than any other exchanges.
I hold them for a long time but lost at some point. You really have a very bad feeling when you buy at top. I hope I won't live same thing again.

When did we even top. At $1400? Even at some exchanges out there at that time, no trades have been recorded over $1300. If you bought at the top, that isn't gut feeling but rather FOMO you've just experienced.

Many people dont like to admit when they are wrong, and buyin at 1200$ is a wrong thing to do. As I see here some people did buy at that time and I believe there is more of them here who did the same thing. I think people will buy bitcoin even for much bigger price then 1200 $, if just half of predictions are true bitcoin will worth much more then that, so these people are not stupid they will just need to wait a bit longer to earn some money, and of course they will earn a bit less.

Many people bought at such levels. Believe it or not, many got a chance to be introduced to bitcoin at that time because of all the attention it was receiving. It's unlikely that those who bought above 1000$ still hold their bitcoins from then, as people introduced to it for speculatory reasons have likely lost faith in the price rising to such levels again. It was a good time to be a trader though.

This. Lots of people bought at 1000+, that's why the price went that high in the first place (Willy aside) and was the time when BTC had its greatest exposure. Of course when the price goes so high so quickly, the new dumb money can't really absorb many expensive coins whereas the earlier adopters have endless quantities to dump...

I did, it was not so bad... 1200 usd seemed still a bargaign, considered all the pun that was going on...

Really... $1200 is a bargain for you, you must be real rich. It doesn't really seem like a bargain to me seeing as that you could have bought Bitcoin when it was just a couple of cents.

Nope instead of buying i am selling at that point, make a huge profit at that time

Ita feel so good, when the price is aroung 500$ i buy some of it kind of regret this one but

now i am investing it and wait for the right time to sell it

Yeah, that's exactly what I did as well. I bought again when the price went down to $300 and I am hoping that it will rise over $1000 in the future so I can sell again.

I don't know anyone that bought when the Bitcoin price was at its peak. They would have to be pretty stupid to do that, don't you think? I personally bought Bitcoin at $100.

I haven't bought any bitcoin when price was at 1k mark. Better to say at those days i am not involved in bitcoin trading. Buy on steady price as it is more likely to go upward because steady price show people are holding for that price.

Yes, that true. Who ever first time they brought about 1000+ by thinking they can make huge profits by now they might have sold all those bitcoins for the huge lose. And also I don't think they will come back aging to bitcoin even price reach 10000+. It is common to any one once they lost trust on any one or thing most likely in their life time they will not look back into that. Lucky I didn't buy any at that price but started trading only recently. Currently prices looks like up trend don't know how long it will survive that price.

All who were engaged in trade on the exchange at that time purchased at this price. I think that's what it costs in the horizon a couple of years back again.

At that time price was enormous and it was obvious that it is a pump and dump scenario.

Maybe for you, but not for others. There may have been people who got into bitcoin as the spike occurred and they hadn't had enough time to learn the more finer details of bitcoin - maybe not the smartest move, but it probably occurred all the same.

People who bought at this peak were either too optimistic or silly to believe it would go higher.

It's easy to scoff at them now that we can look back at that time period, and that we know it had gone down. However, back then a number of people thought bitcoin would continue to go up, no matter what others said.
