The reason the USSR fell is that they couldn't motivate their people to work hard. In fact, their regulation of their people stifled the people into making (and then drinking) some of the best Vodka in the world.

The USA is stifling its people with regulations, as well. But the USA has one thing the USSR didn't... the common law jury. As long as jury members have some sense left, they will veto the judge and the government.

I watched that one, i am big John Huston fan, he is one of my favourite directors.He didn't have easy task here, making good movie out of very complicated novel but he succeeded anyways. They don't make them like that anymore, it is even underrated i would say, i think most people find it too hard to follow. Same thing goes for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy , another underrated and complex spy movie.

But in the end , it is still a movie , even though reality can be stranger than fiction Cheesy
