It is necessary to overcome a number of problems, that can be grouped into these three categories: scalability, security and privacy. Yep,we still need altcoins.
There are Bitcoin, and also there are Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold and B2X that we use it as an altcoin, but do we still need other altcoins? as i knew in the forum on the altcoin section there are much announcement about new altcoins almost everyday. do we still need that altcoins?
Yes we need an alternative coin in this kind of industry. Imagine if we are only using the bitcoin it may be difficult for us and for the supplier because it will have a short supply and the bitcoin have an expensive price so the others cannot afford it. So the alternative coins answer this. And user have an affordable coins 
Somehow altcoins are good to be there specially when the price of bitcoin is too high. You can have other options to invest your money.
I suppose the reason why we need altcoins is not in the high price of Bitcoin. Many alts are faster and safer, more anonymous than BTC. They also offer various other options (for instance, smart contracts of Ethereum).

I believe we need altcoins. There are a lot of potential in it and it has definitely some of the solid platforms that will revolutionize our technology. And competition is also good in the market as always. Investors will be able to diversify their portofio.
if still want to increase income or investment, I think we still need altcoin. because looking for profit from altcoin is easier than looking for profit in bitcoin. because altcoin prices are still cheap and we can buy from small capital to trade.
Yes we do I think. Competition is always good. However once bitcoin and etherium figure out scaling issues I don't think there will be many that are useful anymore
yes..we need it...because it sounds 'alternative' and everything need alternative thing for emergency situation...for me i still hope for new altcoins because it bring more bounty and it will help more people...and also we need altcoins for trading because if there are many altcoins maybe in the future bitcoin and altcoin exchanges could competing with stock exchanges
Bitcoin would not have gained such popularity without Altcoin. The more Altcoins, the more opportunities for invests. I believe that he is needed, but we must be able to understand them.
I think we need it as like as how we need other kind of coins. we are the one who decided to choose altcoin if we want to invest on it or not. Because if we don't need other altcoin i think the company who use it as their payment on us will hard for them to exchange if only one altcoin are we use or accept.

Oh yes for sure, we need other altcoins. The presence or existence of altcoins creates a competition for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoincash or any other bigger volume coin you can think of. Every market without a competition is not interesting. Without other altcoins to trade against or to create comparison, maybe bitcoin would not have been popular as it is now. Another fact is that, there should always be varieties. It keeps the market healthy and better still more interesting. I'm not sure it'll be very good for only bitcoin or five coins to exist. The more the varieties, the more the different choices people can make on the crypto platform. Remember many people keep on joining crypto every day and imagine if we were all doing one thing. Another thing we must also know is that, every altcoin has the reason for which it was created, and not just for the sole purpose of trading against the bigger ones. Consider the number of new ICOs introducing new coins for services, gaming, gambling, education, sports, finance, and a whole lot of other reasons.
People are doing ways to upgrade the technology of Bitcoin so thats the reason why so many altcoins are coming up. But they will never ever beat BTC. BTC is the king.

all of activities of crypto market need alt coin to trade and take profit. some of them have good profit in trade process so, poeple need altcoins rather than BTC.

but we need be carefull too, many of altcoins is bad reputation.
Of course we need altcoins. I think altcoins are more important than bitcoin. Bitcoin technology is totally old and not up to date. Bitcoin will be soon replaced for a technically better and faster altcoin. So bitcoin is not available to handle the transaction for a world wide payment. 2 things came on my mind on why do we need Altcoins. First is competition, if there is no competition, one group or currency will dominate and manipulate the market and it is not a good thing for us small investors. The price will go high and it will be hard for us to get some of it. Second is innovation, if there is competition, many currency will innovate their coins and because of that the transaction will be faster and everything will have new features.
Of course, it can be more rich and colorful digital currency world, without him, here will be very boring.
Of course we need altcoins. Altcoins offer interesting ideas and technology that can be efficient to people and give them a huge profit. Also, competition is needed to know what coins can still make it in the future. Though, only the ones with the potential technology and development can compete with bitcoin. Many of us invests on altcoins for alternative source of profit.
Absolutely. we still need altcoin because bitcoin still needs altcoin as a complement so I can not imagine what kind of Bitcoin prices are now, and now with the abundance of altcoin because there is a competitive environment.
