I spend bitcoin sometimes when I see an item online that I would like to buy and is offered by a legitimate seller, other than that I mainly hold bitcoins as a form of investment.

You should try asking your fellow countrymen if there is such site exclusively for your country. I spend my bitcoins for gambling. Sometimes i win and sometimes i loose but percentage of winning is more then percentage of loosing

I think most people are seeing bitcoin only as an investment option which is why many replies in this thread says that they don't spend their bitcoins and are saving it for a price increase, which is fine but they don't realize, if they use it wherever they possibly can then that will increase the price much faster.

Saving is a good thing, but I believe we need to keep on spending our bitcoins whenever required, the circulation of coins must go on, I sell my few bitcoins weekly and convert to fiat which takes care of my basic expenses.
Yes the price of bitcoin will increase if there is a good circulation of coins, if the coins are kept idle in digital wallet then it will be useless and will have no value, so it is better that we keep on spending our coins on a regular basis. Holding and selling at a right time is a better option.

Mostly you lose your bitcoins by gambling for nothing because you do not gain profit.
