I only spend my bitcoins... I am not in a situation where I can deal with the volatility of cryptocurrency right now.

i spend my bitcoins. but only for digital goods.
e.g. my vpn accepts BTC. andi bought some apps with BTC.
do you never trade your bitcoin for money?i think ts normal if you use bitcoin for only digital goods, but i suggest you to try using bitcoin for real goods, maybe online shopping,it will intresting Smiley
if me, I prefer to exchange it into fiat money then spend it to buy electronic goods or etc
I rarely spend a bitcoin online, I usually withdraw in fiat money

So the reason is you don't buy online?
You convert your BTC into fiat and go to a store somewhere and buy your goodies there?
Or do you convert into fiat and shop online and pay with fiat?
my reason just one, little or limited sites that accept bitcoin as a payment option
Sometimes I am interested in an item on the internet, but the site doesn't accept bitcoin
only some sites that accept bitcoin

so I prefer to convert it to a fiat and spending

Well, i'm not actively spend my bitcoins into online stores to buy something. But i actively spend my bitcoins into gambling, because i have gambling habbit and i use it actively.

Yeah even I use my bitcoins for gambling as you can gamble even with the least amount of coin and fiat currency doesn't allow us to do that, so bitcoins is good if you are used to gambling, but generally I spend my bitcoins to convert to my local currency so that I can manage my basic expenses.

I spent my bitcoins occiasionely, simply because there are not a lot of webshops that sell their products for bitcoin.
Having a wider range of webshops that sell shoes f.e. would be better

For now you are right there is not a really large amount of online stores that accept bitcoin. That will soon change though as everyday new stores are accepting bitcoin. The problem we have is the vast majority of people hoard their coins and never spend so if a merchant accepts there is not always the volume that makes it worthwhile. On another note op i vote yes now the price is closer to what i value it at i buy more from online and would buy even more if i could. Plenty of places to gamble your bitcoin :/

If I could go to the store and just paying with bitcoin sure I will just spend it daily.
But I just like to trade it and hold some of my bitcoin.
Maybe later in the future when I have more bitcoin I can spend it more.

I think I will spend some Bitcoins to buy some physical stuff in a couple of months, I have never tried buying stuff with Bitcoin that wasn't digital (like gift cards, or serial codes for games, like Steam games). I hope it turns out ok when I buy some physical stuff.

Go with trustworthy escrows and you are good to get it done in a smooth manner...
I spend BTC basically for my home needs, the problems I face, or I would say, I live on Bitcoins... Smiley

SO you are just usinf bitcoin daily? Don't you need some fiat money in your life?
Because in my country is just difficult to have just bitcoin.
I just prefer doing both they are nice.

By saying I live on Bitcoins, I didn't mean to say I don't need fiat...
In fact, I convert my BTC to fiat in order to pay my bills, live a free and independent life with no boss heading towards you asking to do hectic works for them...
Actually, I mean that I work for Bitcoins and then convert them... Smiley

I am following this strategy to "spend" my bitcoins
(because in my opinion this is not a real expense, but
an investment): I use to trade in forex my fiat money;
when I need to withdraw money my brokers give me
the option to withdraw it in BTC or  doller ; when BTC
is cheaper I whitdraw only BTC, and when BTC is
high, I use to deposit into my trading account a good
amount in bitcoins, this way I do a kind of beneficial
exchange.

I bought some cloud mining today with my bitcoins. It would be good to have more shops that accepts bitcoin so we can give the btc eco system a boost.
