Actively spending bitcoin I don't think so otherwise I would have 0 bitcoin now.
I just like spending with my fiat and with bitcoin holding and trading.

well you can always spend and buy more with fiat, i see no difference, even if the price increase you would buy more things with the new value of bitcoin

this amortizes the continue buying at a higher price

I don't... I like to hold it until the price increases dramatically then spend it. That's not active at all though.

So you don't spend any of your bitcoin. Why don't you? Bitcoin is not just an investment, it is a great way to pay for things online.

I usually confused about where to spend my bitcoin, because there are very few shops that accept bitcoin, so I usually trade them into fiat money first

You can do also in online right? You can purchase something in there. Well if you are just going for shopping is just better to convert it. Because for now is a few shops that just accept bitcoin. That is one of the reason I don't like.

I did try to keep my bitcoins intact as an investment...

But then i discovered two great startups (interesting, both from my home country Slovenia), that let me pay for anything without worrying about my investment.

Cashila https://www.cashila.com/
Lets me pay bills using bitcoins. Works by converting bitcoins to EUR at the current exchange rate and paying for anything via SEPA. It's great if you are from the EU. Usually I use them when paying for my gsm bill, when i want to cash out bitcoin to my bank account, or i need to pay a friend, hehe.

The other one is Reload by Bitnik https://reload.bitnik.eu/
Keeps an eye for outgoing transactions from my wallet address and every time i make a purchase - it instantly buys the same amount from the exchange of my choice.

Now i can freely spend my bitcoins on almost anything, and when i do, my btc balance stays the same.
Give them a try and spend bitcoins whenever you can Wink
Great idea, thanks. In connection with cashila, could you please advice about the costs? Are there any fixed fees or the fee is based on the amount you transfer via SEPA? I'll have a detailed look on it later on, but I'm sure you can summarize the cost part more straight forward then their website which is usually more marketing oriented

At Cashila the fee is based on the amount you transfer - it's a fixed 1% for every incoming transactions, outgoing are free. Check out the official announcement here at Bitcointalk, you should be able to get a 0% fee for testing the service Smiley

I have big trust issues with such websites. I didn't mind keeping money in Coinbase, I didn't mind using Uphold, but I sure as hell would not trust those unless they somehow managed to gain immersive reputation, receive investments etc. Just have heard to many horror stories about scams.

Bitnik has bitcoin ATMs all around Slovenia. Haven't tried the ATM yet, but Reload works as expected.. best part it is free Smiley

Cashila on the other hand did receive investments - as a startup they got seed funding from LAUNCHub, you can see them in their portfolio at http://launchub.com/portfolio/
Also they have a license by the Czech National Bank, are regulated, and are very reputable from where i come..

Well maybe I a not actively spending my bitcoin, but this Christmas for sure I will purchase some gadgets and presents for my family.
I hope that there will be some discounts with bitcoin, that would be nice for me. I wish that more stores could just accept bitcoin.

I keep most of my BTC in my wallet. Sold some for euro's to get my initial investment back though. Right now I am accumulating BTC by trading altcoins with a small part of the "free" BTC I have left Smiley. Not spending it in stores or anything, as the ones I usually use don't accept bitcoins (yet).

Yeah true why just spend bitcoins when you can just earn money thru trading or trading thru altcoins.
What I like the most of this bitcoin that if just amazing how much you can earn money with just posting with a signature and other parts like have a online work that pays bitcoin. Will good luck accumulating your bitcoins Cheesy

I usually invest into bitcoin every paycheck, and try and save it. There is always something coming up that I just HAVE to have that causes me to dip into though.

I try pretty hard not too, nothing I can buy with BTC can't be bought with a credit card so I want to avoid that temptation as long as possible.

I am not an active bitcoin user at the moment. This is only because spending bitcoin is very limited at the time.

For now I am not able to buy a lot of stuff in stores since there are not a lot of stores out there that accept bitcoin.
