You can't right a mistake with another mistake. everyone deserves a second chance. As long as they are willing to change, they should be allowed a second chance. It is only fair and killing them wont change anything. It is just one more life taken away. Isn't that just redoing what the murderer did? "A life for a life". So those who hung the convict should die too. think about it.

somehow theres a keypoints and we should have death penalty for heavy recidivist offenders.

No. It is better to not kill the guilty than to kill one innocent person by mistake.

I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.
Life should be honored and should be respected even after living their lives as a criminal, the state should not decide on killing them. They should just let them rot in thier cells for them to be punished. Whatever happens they should not get out of the prison no matter how rich or powerful they are.

There will always be different views on this subject.  I am able to talk out of experience.  I am working in a prison and let me tell you the prison is not a place that scare criminals anymore.  It is more like a hotel.  Some criminals don't have any homes and sleep on the streets...so going to prison is an "upgrade" in living conditions for them.

Inside the prison they are "home".  Drugs are freely available.  Rehabilitation is only a word.

Some of these inmates are really the scum of the earth.  They have committed the most horrendous crimes you can think of...drowning a young boy in hot water only because of his skin color, etc etc.  Nobody is going to convince me that a person who rapes his own mother/grandmother deserves to live?  I honestly believe that such a person is beyond rehabilitation.  Once they are in prison and serve a life sentence they are not afraid to stab Prison Officials who are just performing their duties in order to provide for their families.  Great...found guilty of stabbing another inmate/Official...6 months added to sentence but because the inmate is already serving a life sentence it has no effect on his sentence.  It only helps him to get promotion within the gangs.

So yes, definitely,  I support the death penalty.  If you cannot respect the life of a fellow human being...no respect towards your life must be shown.

I agree with death penalty as a punishment for people who deserve it.  I say this with the notion that the judiciary system in place should be without bias and fair. In the ideal world, we would have that but for now, we are struggling with finding real justice. Death penalty should then be really sentenced to a criminal who underwent a fair and just trial system.

No, death penalty doesnt reduce crime and it doesnt even help the society. The government can use these criminals as slaves to do something

No. I don't agree in death penalty because I believe that we just borrow our lives from god. Only god who can kill.

Oh... why I am seeing so many religious nutjobs here lately? If god decides everything, then what is the need for getting yourself a college degree or a decent job? You can just stay at home and enjoy banging your girlfriend 24x7. These guys will only understand this when some of their loved ones get killed by the criminals.

For me, I dont agree because we humans  have no rights to kill other people. Only god can decide for our life.
Did you miss the small print in the bible ?..

It said in the manual an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth..
Or did i read it wrong ..

Funny because they used to teach that in school when i was a child ..
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth..

Like if someone pulled out your eye you pull out his eye ..
Now i have grown up that's revenge is it not?..

But then it says no revenge or you go to hell ..
So what is it confusion OR if life is bad i have an excuse to use the revenge ..

WHAT IS THE REVENGE ?..
Most think on life it's self..How selfish you couldn't actually blame the right people ..

Like your parents
like your government
like YOURSELF Wink..

Always poor pat having a ride on her bike minding her own business ..
See the way TRUMP going with his religious dogma he will start a new wave of
CHRISTIAN terror..

See if you don't take religion as a maybe  and say it could be true but then again i could be wrong
then people are going to die for what ever it says in your bibles that someone else thinks you
should be doing by gods words ..

They be the law in the CRAZIES EYES ..
And if you notice it's the young adults who do the crazy shit because when you get older you know the real truth..

20 year old his brains are still easy manipulated because they don't know the world..
They believe any old story children do..

Remember if your life is so good and rich why wouldn't you think someone looking down on you?..

BUT you would never know anyone looking down on you only you been taught this by your surrounding ..

Like they way the NEWS and TV brain washer's people minds so does your surroundings ..

We are children of god, so i think he would never want us to kill each other, we dont have the right to do do that, so criminals as well, we should only put them in jail for lifetime, not killing them.

I would prefer life without parole. But not because of the god and all that BS, but because I believe that the death sentence is too lenient punishment for brutal criminals. Even if the criminal is executed with a lethal injection, the suffering will be over in less than 2 minutes. And in the United States they are saying that lethal injection is too cruel. WTF? Someone who raped and killed a kid for many days is sentenced to death and they say that his 2 minutes of suffering is too much.

I agree with you however there are many things to consider. Divine law is different from that law of man. If the man did a very gruesome crime, For example he killed or raped other people, then I think Dearh Penalty is agreeable.

yes I strongly agree if the crime that was committed can not be in sorry again. such as drug dealers who destroy the next generation of the nation.

I will stay neutral on this. Normally I don't prefer executing drug dealers. But seeing how much damage they can do to the youth, it may be time for me to do a rethink on my positions. Hard drugs such as Heroin and methamphetamine kill millions every year, and the worst part is that most of the victims are either in their teens, or in their early 20s.

Yes, I agree with the death penalty. A person will not commit terrible crimes if he knows that he can be executed for this. People will fear this punishment and stop committing a multitude of crimes

The death penalty is necessary precisely as an exceptional measure of punishment in the most exceptional cases, when another type of punishment simply does not justify itself when there is clear evidence of the commission of a crime.
