I am firm believer in the Hammurabi Code which specifically calls for a head for a head so in that case i am a staunch supporter of the death penalty and i believe it should be applied when a person directly or indirectly has caused the death of another through their actions or inaction.

I'm basically against the death penalty .... but ... I do not know how would I feel if some serial killer would do something to my loved ones. If I do not have any doubt that this person has done it, I have the feeling that I would kill him myself.

Typical liberal mindset. Murder and rape is OK, as long as it is happening to someone who is not known to you. From what I know, most of the liberals in the western nations reside in posh gated societies, which are mostly free from crime and immigrants. It is the native working class, which has to deal with most of the crime.

I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.
A big big no to me. death penalty is not a solution, come and think of it they're just like us who deserve second chance or how many chance because in the eyes of God small or big mistakes is just the same its still a sin. Is that what you see a good solution, killing those criminals. For me there is a better solution than death penalty because my perception in life "if your still a live there is a hope".

I believe that the bearing of a crime should justify the punishment for it. Why forgive someone who commited hineous crimes and brutal murders. Just ask this question to yourself, if your family is killed, do you want the killer to live?

I will never agree with this. I do not believe that judges have the right to dispose of the destinies of people. You can not do it this way. Only God must decide whom to live and who to die for

No one has the right to deprive a person of life. Everything can change in better even criminals can change.

I am not infavor of death penalty because i believe that only one person has the right to away someones life and that is God. Even though they commit that kind of sin, still they have the right to be corrected and also give them the opportunity to change what they have done.

You are right that they have the right to still live and correct their past mistake and have an oppprtunity to do it.  But it is easier said than done.  For the family of innocent victims, they have the same sentiments.  Who are the criminals to take the lives of innocent people?  They do not have any rights.  Yet they killed them.  I am in favor of death penalty to crimes that should be into death penalty.

Undecided, I can not decide what to do. It's scary because it breaks the bible to lose the murder. It is forbidden by the commandments of our god father. That is what Christ has propagated but I think that I'm also in favor, if someone repeatedly makes a mistake and does not change. Maybe God really will set him what should happen to him if he does not change or do not want to change. It's sad to say that sinful people are so numerous in the world. Hopefully everyone who wants it will change forever Sad.

I think it's easy to sell liberalism until something happens to you or yours, then ... Who knows how each of us would react.

Yes because sometimes other people do illegal things and if they got jailed, they will or can find a way to escape. Just think that if a most wanted terrorist didn't get hanged to death and escaped, that would pose a large threat worldwide.

it depends, cause if the one given death penalty is a very notorious criminal who kills so many innocent people i think killing them is justice.

For me big NO. Killing is not the solution of anything. They can regret their sin, they can change and have a new life. They just need time and also love. But, if some crime that is super disaster, death penalty may applied.

Yes I agree... To minimize very worst crimes that happens in our country... It is only intended for such crime commited very worst. Thats why i agree for that law of death penalty.

Here in India also we have similar rules for handing out death penalty. It is given only in the "rarest of the rare" cases. Every year hundreds of convicts are being given the death sentence. But the last execution occurred many years back. Right now, more than a thousand criminals are languishing in the death row, and many of them are likely to die of old age before anything happens on their sentencing.

According to Quran "the killness of one human is the killness of all humanity". a group of terrorists flow the blood of innocent people which is wrong. it is responsibility of each country to control  terrorism and common killness of innocent people. no any one have power to take life but just and only Allah.

The death penalty is good when there is order in the country. And if there are vinovyne they need to be killed.
This is the optimal measure of punishment)

I agree. If one person can kill someone else, someone else can kill them.
