Bitcoin is really is a favorite coin of everybody. But there are also altcoin which are potential. Nothing is wrong with selling altcoins to buy bitcoin. But it is also good to invesr some altcoins.

You should always diversify so as to remain safe. Having more of bitcoins is more practical as it is growing consistently.

Bitcoin is till most favorite coin in market because have biggest liquidity in market. But i think, nothing wrong if we hold our altcoin. There is many altcoin have real product and undervalued market cap. Its potential to give us big profits.

This strategy is only valid if you are no longer interested in short term investment of money or even day trading. If you want to continue day trading, then it is better not to sell your altcoins as bitcoin is not a good choice when it comes to that of the day trading. Make this choice only when you are ready to go for long term investment of money as bitcoin is only good when you hold it.

Totally not. My best incomes are directly from alts, though this year is extremely tough for alts. I still manage to get profits by holding promising coins.

That is true, spliting whole amount of coins in some alts and some of it in bitcoin should bring you some profit in future, you just need to focus on the most "wanted" and after some time you will find results of that.

So as to me i think that you seem to be a smart person in your life, i have read a lot of comments in this thread and everyone is saying that yeah! I approve this strategy and I will do the same as others are doing but it’s better to avail both of the opportunities rather than to choose one of them. Both are growing day by day and going sky high so keeping both would be a better thing.

It will always depend of the situations like if my Altcoins are going crap that its look like will not recover specially if the team if that coin Altcoin is in active then better to sell your coins and buy Bitcoin but if my certain Altcoin has a huge potential then better to sell some of my Bitcoin and buy more of that promising Altcoin.

Apparently, as long as there is no longer a team, then there is simply no longer a coin and as long as there is no product backing a coin, then the coin eventually and in the long run is useless.

Some altcoins sure do have a lot of potential and there is no doubt about that, but the thing is that most of them really lose it with the way they get pumped and dumped easily and with the way the market is controlled by bitcoin movement, it is more like most traders just increasing their bitcoin stash for bitcoin.

Right from time, the idea of alts for me has been more like a way to increase the number of bitcoin that I am holding except for some few alts though. Let's face it, some alts are simply not just worth holding looking at the fact that they are simply just a pump and dump and most of them always end up getting screwed back to where they picked up from eventually, so why hold such alts for the long term than probably just to buy them at dips and trade them during pumps.

If yu are going to sell alts for you to buy bitcoin it is much better to try trading and feel free to lesrn the changes in terms of price on each coin. It eould help you to create a much better strategy on either buying or selling depending on the current price of each crypto you have as an investment.

Maybe I can do this when the price is going down with alts. There are some alts which is no longer active, where the developers are leaving and there only few left trading the coins this is where I will sell my alts and invest or trade bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best investment because there is huge profit awaits when you hold bitcoin.

In my opinion I would still try to keep both. I would diversify it into alts and Bitcoin all the way since they have a huge earning possibility when they pumped up.

I agree with this strategy and I find it a wise way of earning good profit. There are lots of altcoins these days but most of them don't have a good value so I think it is better if we'll just sell it and buy more bitcoin to hold specially these days that bitcoin is currently low and is in red.

For me, it depends on the current situation, why will you sell all your altcoins if this coin is much profitable than bitcoin. Yes, we know that bitcoin’s price is still high and much higher compared to that altcoin or another cryptocurrency but, what if this other coin is much profitable to bitcoin. We can earn and gain both sides but don’t sell all your another cryptocurrency because of bitcoin; it's much better if you have many different coins because most of the coins right now increase its price rate. But like I said it depends on the situation because if you sell your altcoin right now, it's better because if you have ethereum, its much better to sell your ethereum now and convert it to bitcoin because ethereum’s value right now plummet, and bitcoin’s amount right now is increasing.

Actually you are right that this strategy to sell all of your altcoins just to buy bitcoin because it seems imbalance situation on that decision. For me it is a way of immature person not knowing what will be the possible to happen in case he/ she do such rush decision is good nor bad. It should be in under construction once everything will gone. And that situation is not so easy to overcome because once you lose something or someone that important to you it is really hurt.
