If all altcoins are sold just to buy bitcoin, I do not agree, because bitcoin is a long-term asset. and make no mistake, profit from altcoin should not be underestimated. If you want to buy bitcoin at the lowest price does not matter, it is also very good but do not all you invest in bitcoin.

I never want to invest on any of altcoins by selling my bitcoins because I knows that bitcoin has more potential than any other coins so it will give more benefits in future if we hold until,if you invest on altcoins you can invest the amount from profits of your bitcoin.
yes, I agree with that, because altcoin is not necessarily good for the future, so it's better to trade it with btc. we know that btc is the best coin and the price is good in the market.

If it's the only two investments that you have then I really wouldn't. I always try and spread my investments and would encourage others to do the same

I think that in part I approve of there are some altcoins that are very promising and it would be foolish to sell them
Well yeah there are so fantastic altcoins too in the international market. Some people just consider the market full of bitcoins. It is true either but still there is a good number of altcoins and we can call them altcoin family. These altcoins are little bit unstable than bitcoins in field of popularity. But few are really gorgeous and have so huge fame and pace. They all made the world technically beautiful.

No, I do not support this strategy. It seems to me, it will be silly to sell all of your altcoins and invest the money in Bitcoin. BTC is great but with alts, you have much more possibilities on the crypto market.

It depends on the investors. That approach could be used if you are going to encash your coins into fiat because before we could encash Alt coins we need to sell and convert it to BTC for us to be able to encash it into local currency.
Well, you will just have to sell your altcoins and buy Bitcoin there's nothing wrong with it as long as you buy the right amount compared to what you pay for your altcoins. If you do holding more altcoins then the logic of selling altcoin and buying Bitcoin is more reasonable because more often altcoins are degrading their value in the long run while Bitcoin are still holding not below than the price of altcoins.

I read this article, but I want to see opinions, would you sell all your alts to have only bitcoin now ? I don't think this is recommended

https://cointelegraph.com/news/buy-bitcoin-sell-your-altcoins-says-pioneering-wall-street-blockchain-analyst
That depends, as for me I believe that much profit can come from Bitcoin than altcoins. If I was given money with two options which is to either invest only on Bitcoin or invest on 25 alt coins, mehn…. Wouldn’t waste time to go for Bitcoin cause I believe it is far much better than every other ones. So if you asked me based on my own opinion, I will sell alt coins and go fully on Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a volatile asset (relative to FIAT) and this fact should be taken into consideration, especially in the days when the Bitcoin value is moving sharply. Bitcoin and Altcoins have an inverse relationship in their value, i.e. when the value of Bitcoin rises then Altcoins are losing their Bitcoin value, and vice versa. When Bitcoin is volatile, our conditions for trading are kind of foggy. During fog we can’t see much ahead, so it is better to have close targets for our trades or not to trade at all.

For me no. I will not sell all my altcoins. I will only sell 75% of my altcoins. Then i will hold yhe remaining for future purposes. So when the altcoin will grow big in the future i have some in my possession.

In my country there are a lot of coins that can be converted to local currency, not only using BTC and ETH to convert to local currency. It is a wise decision for him to buy altcoin, he will have a great profit in the future if he holds a BTC for a long time. Perhaps in the near future, BTC will rise, perhaps over $ 25,000.

Personaly I agree with such strategy but I'm maybe specific because from the very begininig, which is not 5 years, I'm faithful to Bitcoin and still see it as the most profitable and prosperous coin.
But I can understand that some prefere altcoins and want to diversify the investments and use short term opportunities when some altcoins appear. Still on long term Bitcoin is the best choice.

Meanwhile investing in worthy alts might make you many x'es, it might as well fall down next to nothing. So for large reserved BTC is more safe/potential, especially buying it now.

I dont agree with that approach, since I havent seen any great year for BTC... ofcourse, you can say that 2017 was a great year.. but common - as compared to what ? As comapred to Tron or verge or dent ? No !

bitcoin has more potential than any other coins I don't think it is right that to sell your altcoins and buy bitcoin because altcoin and bitcoin are the same price movement when bitcoin down also altcoins down. I believe that the investment in your hand should be 70 percent bitcoin as 30 percent altcoin.
Investment in bitcoin needs a lot of money while small coins do not need high investment. You can start with very low money and the prices of almost every crypto are increasing with the passage of time. There is no doubt that bitcoin has more potencail than any other crypto but it is all about the investment power. Bitcoin is the choice of every big investor.

sometimes, selling altcoin to buy bitcoin is make sense especially if we know that the altcoin price increases higher than before so we can get much of bitcoin. but if the altcoin that we have is down then it's not good if we sell in that time because we cannot get profit in bitcoin and perhaps, we need to wait for the altcoin is increase back so we can sell it.

Investing in Bitcoin is good, but in my opinion you can buy altcoin to boost performance and increase Bitcoin rates. However, if you are new, it is quite risky. ETH and NEO are also good alternatives to Bitcoin.

For me as much as possible better to have both of them bitcoin and alts. Don't sell them all. Much better to have multiple portfolio rather of just having one, to prevent too much lost.

if bitcoin seems to have a much lower price and I think I can buy many bitcoins with my altcoin, why not? You see, bitcoin has more potential than alts since it's the original cryptocurrency recognized in the world, and the price of altcoins also depends on bitcoin so buying the original one is much better than keeping the newly made ones.

A lot of newbies do not usually get that though but they are so bound on looking for quality than quantity. Sure, a lot of altcoins have a strong support and community and there is absolutely no doubt that they are going to be doing great in the long run, but most of them would just be the same cycle of go up today and go back as low from where it all started from.

Just few still always correct to some certain level and hold on to it as support. You do not have to sell all alts though; one can still hold some few ones with prospect but more of btc.

No, the only correct strategy has always been to invest your money in various promising coins and tokens. With one coin, no matter how good it is for investment, it does not seem impossible to guess. Not everything happens as we want it to. In bitcoin, of course, it is still worth investing your money, but we should not forget about the rest of the crypto currency. Now there are a lot of good coins and tokens, deserving attention.
