Accept the fact that altcoins are more of pump and dump and is producing profit for the day traders. I don't care if he's a pioneer in blockchain on Wall St.
Some will have an uplift eyebrows for just investing in bitcoin, you have your own strategy and the guy isn't forcing you to invest to bitcoin only. But as a long term holder bitcoin has been always reliable in terms of profit and growth for years.

Well it depends ,Sometimes I sell my Bitcoin to buy some alts to gain some profit,
I would sell my Bitcoin once it starts dumping then buy some alt-coin to gain some BTC from it.

I read this article, but I want to see opinions, would you sell all your alts to have only bitcoin now ? I don't think this is recommended

For me it depends upon the situation. If the price of alts hits in the market then I will sell my alts and buy bitcoins and save and hold. If the alts I have has high potential in the market I will still hold it and wait for the right time to sell.

In my opinion, what you are saying is the same since if your alts hit in the market, you will be selling them but that also means that you bought it or maybe invested in it right? If that is the case why not just buy Bitcoin directly if that is what you are doing because in your case there will be a time that your alt will also go down and you will lose your investment or profit by buying it.

We have different strategies on how to make more profit with our investments, some says it will be wise to diversify why others prefer to stick to one. Well its risky to put all your money in one basket however if that particular coin is btc then I think it depends on the investor itself on how he truly believe in the features and purpose of it since btc is the first crypto and has many supporters, early investors earn huge for hodling their coins in the long period thus if you think the history can repeat in the future then follow their recomendation.

Nevertheless I prefer to have many coins in my crypto-portfolio so I wont stick to btc if I can see potential to altcoins.

While it is lucrative to invest on BTC, investing on other alt coins is also a smart move to do. Diversifying your portfolio picks up the slack of the investments that is slow to rise. Then again, investing on alt coins is really risky. Alot of these coins wouldn't survive the end of the year. So it is also smart to research the investment you are going in to.

Doing this or following this strategy without timing is tantamount to gambling. We know that Bitcoin, in most cases, determines the movement of altcoins. The altcoins go down whenever bitcoin is down and vice versa. So how do you sell falling altcoins to buy falling bitcoin or a rising one? Except the seller is ready to take a loss.

You should have a portfolio, with the weight of Bitcoin amongst your crypto assets high, if you have a low risk tolerance. Altcoins may have higher potential gains, but they can drop quickly too. In the equity world, it is only the highly adventurous who look at penny stocks. The same goes for crypto investors who venture outside the top 100.
Saving altcoin provides a variation of investment for you and may give you a big advantage, yeah you're right but the risk will certainly be much bigger, seeing the price of altcoin can go down very deep, so I think if you are able to accept that risk you can invest in other than bitcoi,  if you can not accept a big risk better invest in bitcoin alone

I would not recommend investing in just one crypto currency. Undoubtedly, bitcoin now leads the market, but this does not mean that you can ignore the rest of the crypto currency. To date, we can see a large number of promising coins, in which it is worth investing. Therefore, I share the investment and choose several worthy projects.

Every investor have a general principle to follow applied in the trading market, Putting all investment in one crypto currency coin project is not accepted or not my style of strategy for investment, anything can happened in every trading market at any given time, if you've invested all in one such project it will be a great gamble, you may gain a huge amount for such profits, but if the price value of such coin drops, you will be losing all of your investment. So, it is not a good idea to put in all your investment in one project.

Investment is always an individual decision, Market is Volatile, Putting ALL investment in one project is not a good idea, anything happened in the crypto market trading, the price value of one coin can drop its price without noticed, as it maybe a reaction from the volume of investment in the trading market. i would put in some investment in other ALT COINS but not all together in one project coin investment.

Holding altcoins is sometimes very profitable as compared to bitcoin.Bitcoin is the altimate coin and everyone wants to own some but sometimes altcoins start increasing in value whiles bitcoin depreciates or  become stagnant.

I honestly think many of these Alt coins are pump n dump schemes. You can make some good profits on Alt coins, if you time your exit before they collapse. The most stable and reliable Crypto currency, since 2009 is Bitcoin and that is not even disputable.

So my strategy is to play with Alt coins and to move my profits to Bitcoin in the end. Bitcoin is my store of value, like Gold is for many other investors.  Wink

Is this article trying to pump the bitcoin? I would rather stay with my altcoins than hodl bitcoin, because I only use bitcoin as payment because it is widely accepted.

You can follow as he says but you have your own decision and it's just a piece of advice.

When someone is asking me what's the best bet in crypto's I answer them with bitcoin is the best so I would tell the same thing but again, it's not my money. You should diversify or you can stay to one coin and the rest are in other types of investment. It's up to your strategy on how you will grow your money.

I never want to invest on any of altcoins by selling my bitcoins because I knows that bitcoin has more potential than any other coins so it will give more benefits in future if we hold until,if you invest on altcoins you can invest the amount from profits of your bitcoin.
Sometimes I think so but now they are not high price, but I will patiently wait for next I hope someday the price of the bitcoin I buy and hold will increase as they increased in their history was increased it so wonderful

Well everyone's been telling you to diversify your portfolio so that you don't get dumped when one doesn't work out. A lot of alts have very good potentials not just bitcoin. It definitely isn't recommended same way as to keep your investments solely on crypto.

dont fulll agreed with you, but of course it depends on you, my strategy is very simple %50 BTC, %20 USD , %30 alts, some times rates can change but main structure like this.
