I agree with you, it makes no sense to go and look around for who to blame our gambling losses on. After a big loss it's hard to keep our emotions in check, but it won't do us any good if we blame the casino or ourselves for it. In the end it was our own decision that lead to our losses, which doesn't mean it was wrong decisions. Gambling is a game of chance that involves a lot of randomness, we can't avoid losses forever the longer we play. This seems like a simple case of fraud, they didn't specifically accuse someone of taking part in this "heist" but just claimed that some unknown hacker must have done it. The first thing any police officer will do however, is try to establish a motive and seek out the people who stand to gain the most from this - which clearly leads back to the original account owners. This has probably happened many times to casino's and payment processors, so they are easily able to identify the red flags, plus they'll have sophisticated fingerprinting software that can easily catch abusers out.

Anyway, I don't blame anyone whenever I lose a session from playing at casinos.

One good reason not to blame others for your decision to gamble is that it will continue the losses, in a way thats repeated for hundreds of years it has to be recognized that the weight of your actions and bets are in your hands. If you dont fully weigh up and take responsibility for your own gambling win or loss then your own estimations for gambling in any game will become off-set and inaccurate, you will tend to lose more is something that should be realized.
