You are definitely right in your place. If the members of a family have deep knowledge about what each member in that family does then no great harm can be done by the members in that family. If a gambler is free and he informs everyone in the family about him and if he gamble within limits then I would say there is no great harm to the family by those gamblers. And in this situation, if any outsider comes and tries to impart knowledge or gives various advices to stay away from gambling, then I will definitely not accept that advice. Because I am 100% correct in my place. Besides, I don't really like other people's advice about my preference.

I actually don't care too much about this if it's in the outside circle (not family) because after all, when it comes to gambling once you are involved in it then maybe you will know that the situation is quite complex considering that it is not only about gambling that is thought about but about our economy that must be maintained.
I don't really listen to other people about their opinions on me whether it's about gambling or other issues but for the family it's a different story because I also have to always communicate considering that the gambling that is done certainly uses money that my family (partner) should know so that when I feel that it's going too far and gambling too big in terms of budget then someone reminds me about it.
But until now I gambl, my partner also knows that he doesn't do anything because I gamble with money that is very reasonable and never interferes with other needs in terms of finance only for gambling so I am still very comfortable now. As for other people talking negatively, that's their business because I also don't harm them even though I gamble.

I wouldn't mind about what anyone will say towards my gambling activities because some people that don't understand that gambling is not for useless people will not accept your own point of view. So no need to bother about what people are talking about me because they finally noticed that I am a gambler. This is why one needs to gamble responsible to prove them wrong about what they think about gambling. Some people thinks that the moment you start gambling, your life will get ruined just because some irresponsible gamblers think that gambling is to get rich quick or to make profit got carried away with their mindset and became addicted to gambling, which later ruin them just because they lack self control. As long as have self control over my gambling a activities, I am cool with it because I do get all the entertainment that I need through gamble.

It is difficult to determine if gambling habits have led individuals to failure or useless. If someone makes such a statement, there's no need to be upset with them. We can't tell whether or not their loved ones are struggling with the same issue. It's best to simply ignore such comments because ultimately, we are the ones driving our own lives and determining our own paths. Who knows sooner or later the one who made that statement will see you change and improve your life and then he will regret his statement, or vice versa so ignoring is still the best option for now.

I feel sad for you, I hope alot of female like you can enjoy gambling more around the world as gambling isn't something that's specific to a particular gender. Gambling is something every individual is supposed to enjoy as it is a form of entertainment and entertainment should be allowed to be participated by all a gender. If you're still being stereotyped in your environment as you're a woman for gambling, don't go to physical casino but gamble online and enjoy your game.

No individual should be seen as an irresponsible individual only as they're gamblers, we have more irresponsible individuals that are working cooperate jobs and not being seen gambling. Irresponsibility isn't about what you're doing as we have some individual that are gamblers yet they're the most responsible husband and wifes. Only gambling addict should be seen as irresponsible and not regular gamblers.

I think this is the common standard, caring more about what closer people think of you than distant ones
having a support network that don't judge you and trust your skill on making decisions is crutial on being happy in life, imo

not engaging on discussions about why you choose the things you choose is a smart decision too, in the end of the day (or the month) you are the one paying your bills...

Seriously? Do you need to respond with a question like that? I didn't even find the person's statement to trigger your inner self. It's like you easily get affected by a few words from that person. You don't have to explain everything or clear things about being a gambler. No need for talks not unless he asks you a direct question or statement with a sense.

I don't care about what other people around me think when I do gambling. I always ride a public transport going to my workplace and on the way, I'm playing gambling at my phone and for sure other people around me are having a quick watch on what I'm doing. I'm just playing on my own.

Then the best part of my story? Suddenly, the person beside my sit says silently to me "SCATTER SCATTER SCATTER" haha (only slot players will understand).

In your life there will be different kinds of people who will always think both negatively and positively of you. Sometimes their perspective of you will be either due to a misunderstanding or because of a personal issue. But perspectives change and so do people. There is absolutely no point in worrying who likes you and who does not. Just live your life the way that makes you happy and ignore them. Because you will never be able to satisfy everyone, no matter how amazing of a person you are. Trying to become a "people pleaser" is not the right way to live, because it will exhaust you and end up bringing you nothing of value. And truthfully, most people are too busy caring about what others think of them to even notice things about you. Once you realize that, your mind becomes a lot lighter.

When we are gambling and being open minded, we will know and be able to discern wether we are expected to go by what people say or not, this is something we need to approach in two categories, have you been seeing yourself as a responsible gambler who has always taken his time in doing the right thing or you've just been gambling so blindly that you don't even know how it's affecting your personal life and people are so much concerned about it than you do, so we can consider them when they are helpful and necessary for us to adjust through, but when otherwise, we may not have to act by what we hear.

Yes, we should focus on what we are doing and not think about what others are doing or saying. We gamble based on what we want and are responsible for what we do to take good care of ourselves. We don't need to respond to what other people say, and we can stay away from them instead of having meaningless arguments between us. The important thing is that we can take good care of ourselves while gambling and not use too much money. Just let go of what other people say about us because they can't do anything about it if we don't do it. And maybe it's better for us to hide our gambling activities from others so that there is no untrue talk about us and to avoid problems with other people.

It is an excellent way of seeing things, so we are people who can be very cautious if we want that in our society or in the Environment in which we live we Can make a Difference , in this order of things things can be Focused on Another System , because Firstly , if we start to Socialize , things can Happen in a very Strange Way, I can talk to any Person if the Topic of Conversion arises, I have no problem saying yes, I play all the time but I'm not Addicted , and I like a lot of Casinos and I play Because I like it, and if I like it it is because intrinsically I am saying that it is a passion or that I like the enjoyment through the casino, of course , if the person does not He takes it well and starts gossiping about me. The truth is ,  it doesn't make an Impression on me , because that's Something that shouldn't affect me in the long run , but if I see that the Victims are different in their Opinions and they think they see me bad or something , well , it Wouldn't stop them either, but why ?  because I'm not hurting them.

When we live in a society, and we want to consider a state where things look normal and no corresponding action is seen, we want to have an Intact image and have no one talk to us , well that is an option and if you want to have a goal like that , each person is and does what they want, but in my case I am always the same, maybe that is why no one messes with me, of course there are environments where people are very hostile and that can Affect whether you say you are in a casino and that you have that type of fun all the time, because for some this means that you can have so much money that you can afford to play in casinos and lose money, because that's how some other people can see it , Others can increase that you are an Addict , very different things can Happen , but they are things that we as people should not Only be Limited by what they will say.

Not all society is the same and as gambling could be considered a bad thing in some society, it’s normal in others. I can understand wanting to keep your gambling activity a secret when you’re living in a society that frowns at gambling and sees it as a bad thing to indulge in.
I try to keep my activities private but I wouldn’t keep my gambling activity secret just because the society would think bad of me. Their opinions doesn’t and wouldn’t change so someone is so why listen and let their opinions have a say in our lives?

If you gamble and appear and behave responsible, it could begin to change the mindset people may have had about gamblers being only irresponsible and broke.

Hahaha...if you care and feel concerned about what people say/view of you because you are a female gambler, then you shouldn't gamble again. Otherwise, live your life and damn anybody. The only way that could make you guilty is when you are an irresponsible gambler, but if you are the type that is responsible in your gambling and your lifestyle is a good one, my friend, live your life and let go of what anyone can say or feel about it. I have a lot of female friends who are gambling, and guess what, none of them is irresponsible and waste money on it anyhow, they moderate things. This is why I do not see gambling as a big deal, it only depends on what you gamble for and the extent to which you allow the gambling to control you. If it has no serious influence on your life, just continue to gamble for fun and for the money as the case may be. Thankfully, online gambling is there for you, it is those who you tell that will know.

I think it is good to focus on what making anyone happy and what he/sh like instead of worry about what others think about their choice like gambling. If they are careful and know the possible dangers so this is their own choice.
Some people may not like gambling because they think it can make people addicted or have money problems. And it is each person own choice how they want to use their time and money. If gambling makes someone happy and they can do it without causing problems, then they don't need to worry about what others think. By the way It is  important to take care of ourselves and not let other people opinions bother us.

Truly someone can keep their gambling life private but it doesn't mean that they are totally private because some people know about it without your knowledge but they will pretend not to know until a day that it may be revealed to your own surprise. Some people also know but decide not to do anything about it because they don't see it as their business. There are some family men who keep such gambling habit away from their wives but the wife may also know about it but decide to keep it to herself until a certain they when you deny it 

Yes of course that's better, on the other hand as we know that in general the public's view on gambling is very negative and with that then obviously it is possible that maybe people in your neighborhood who don't know anything about gambling will assume that you have a bad personality by getting involved in gambling, and obviously usually the talk of the community will spread very quickly so it is very likely that you will be seen as an outcast or not cared for by the people around or even considered as a person who has the potential to fall into financial problems.

So of course I also have the same habits as you, we are both gamblers and I also always keep my gambling activities secret from others except for one of my friends who is also a gambler. I think basically even if you don't harm others for example by asking others for money to gamble but still they will have a bad point of view on you if you deliberately publicize your gambling activities. Therefore, it is obviously better to keep your gambling activities private, but also to remain firm on your control and limits because that will be able to keep us from falling into financial problems later, and just for fun and to fill the time.

If you are very disturbed or care about what other people say about your gambling then you will also be disturbed by what other people say about other things, and that shouldn't happen because even though gambling is always associated with bad things, we ourselves understand this games and how much money and the impact it has on us, if everything is still within normal limits then what other people say should not have an impact unless we realize that some of our gambling activities have exceeded our limits, such as starting to get into debt because we want to gamble or take too long spend time gambling.

I have always kept my gambling activity private. It's not because I care what others might think, I just value my privacy especially when it comes to financial matters. As long as it is not hurting anybody then there is no reason for people to judge you for being a gambler or anything else you do in your private life. Gambling isn't some evil thing that only degenerates do. It is a normal activity that normal people do for enjoyment.

If someone can give us a big reason why should we care about other people, then I will go to him. But there's none.

We don't owe an explanation to those people. Just do your usual things and don't mind them.

It can also be applied to other doings in our life. We don't need to meet anyone's standards. Just mind our own.

If I were in your shoes, instead of trying to defend what I choose to do with my time and money. I would scold him for invading my privacy. People should know their boundaries, gambling is for fun and like everything else in the world can become bad when abused. It’s obvious your friend has a low opinion of gamblers which means soon he’s going to start having low opinions of you.
