For me it is better to hodl both ethereum and bitcoin.. bkth of them has a very large chance to double its value in a few more month and we will all be surprise with it, just look at the increase in both of them during the last couple of months.
They're the top digital currencies in the cryptoworld. If i have them both, then probably i will hold them for long term. They are my top digital currencies that i want to have and invest because they can never be on top if they are not really good.
I do not know much about holding ethereum, I am just familiar of holding Bitcoin but I am planning to invest with ethereum and am still seeking for ethereum professionals and users for advise and tips of holding ethereum and ethereum based tokens. For now I choose Bitcoin, but my mind will change when I already have idea with ethereum.
Yes, with both bitcoin and Ethereum we can make good amount of money if you hold them for long terms because already we have seen potential in bitcoin and now the price of ETH is increasing in the market so both are investment for long term.
Actually it depends on the situation and the financial condition of a person. If you have a lot of money, of course you can choose both or you can select Bitcoin just because Bitcoin is definitely profitable and many things have proved it. But if you have a little capital you should invest your money into Ethereum because Bitcoin's current fee is so great. Ethereum has a great development and I'm sure in the future Ethereum will dominate the market because people will be less likely to do transactions using Bitcoin. However, the profit that can be from Bitcoin remains the largest because we know very well how powerful the development of Bitcoin prices.
My portfolio is 30% bitcoin, 30% ethereum, and the rest other altcoins. There are good altcoins with prospect and not as expensive as bitcoin. These altcoins are for long term and not for anyone who want to make quick buck. A few of my recommendations are

You can't go wrong with either, as both are here to stay, at least a couple of decades more. Both have distinctive uses, and as such worth holding, without any comparison.
I chose the ethereum. ethereum could still soar higher price because if investing in bitcoin seems still difficult to be able to rise to the current price higher again.
For now maybe I will save ethereum.

if in my opinion it's better to hold ETHEREUM because the price is now fairly normal and cheap since I'm sure after a lot of big investors, and the bank is using the platform from ETHEREUM in the coming year ETHEREUM will equalize or price it like BITCOIN.
because now bitcoin has exceeded the price of the normal because it's a lot of countries that reject the state of bitcoin but there are also some countries that have received the Bitcoin position.

I’m interested in ETH more than BTC.
ETH is easier for sending, more useful for ICOs, there will be HF soon, and Hopefully will change to PoS.
I think ETH will takeover BTC in near future.
I choose both for long term investment, it's just when the price is low on both crypto i'll immediately stack up on hiw much i can and then hold it for a long time until I'm satisfied on what benefit I'll get from holding it.

Ethereum is good to be used for investing into the ICOs and ethereum also is good for trading alternative coins, we can get good profit from it especially today the price of ethereum is up trending. because both this coin have a future and the best coin in the cryptocurrency world.
Last time I prefer to hold more amount of Ethereum. BTC I also hold, but not so much. ETH has a great potential in 2018.

I choose to hold ETH. Bitcoin price can radically fluctuate by miners trend. On the other hand, Ethereum has decentralized feature and used for a lot of ICO. ETH has problem such as transaction, but it will be solved as technology improves.
I think the ethereum better suited when detained and are used to invest in the long term. ethereum has great prospects for the future as an investment.
n terms of profitability. Bitcoin is way more profitable compare to Ethereum. I hope you guys got some good profit from recent dip. Ethereum is always next to bitcoin. I don't see Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin, to be honest. But it will be better to diversify your portfolio. Dont buy one crypto because once it crashes, its very hard to recover. Dont put all your eggs in one basket. That's what they are saying.

It depends on time you should know when you transfer yourcoin ethereum to bitcoin or bitcoin to ethereum for example now I am choosing ethereum to bitcoin because ethereum price so high and bitcoin price so low. You must find strategy for you.
Holding both is the best option for me to minimize risk of high volatility seen in Bitcoin as Ethereum is less volatile and would serve as something as a hedge. I am holding the two for long term purposes.
I think the etherium is much more promising. it will be more functional in the future. more opportunities, more trust.
