Buy and hold, if you sell there is a risk that you have to buy back later at a price that is much higher. If you want to trade use 20% of your coins; 80% hold.

So I'm slowly going into crypto and I want to know if any of you trade altcoins daily, or you prefer to hold it for long term? What do you think it's better and why?

Thanks

I've personally invested in some coins for a long term.
I still do not have enough budget for daily trading, and it takes a lot of time. At least 12 hours to be worth if you trade with smaller amounts.

Personally, I believe that hodl is more profitable. Thus you are less at risk than when you trade

I chose the strategy that I hold the bulk for a long time, but sometimes I can change something a little depending on the market.
Also periodically I invest small amounts in little-known projects, if I believe in them.

These are two fundamentally different strategies. Daily trading does not suit everyone. Many people do not understand the situation around, have time to lose everything in a short time. It is necessary to love and understand well. Much easier is the second strategy - holding. You do not need to do anything, you do not have to be nervous, you just need to be able to wait and be patient)).

Short trading doesnt really suit anyone yet you do really need skills and experience before someone could able to get the fundamentals of it because short trading wont really be an easy stuff. This is why most people do get rid of it and do decide to go for long term instead which the most simple way of trading but we cant really say that all we do need is to wait because there are instances on where we do really feel panic when we do see falling prices.

You should have plans for both trading and holding. These activities of trading and holding can be very beneficial. Trading ensure you do not miss out on present opportunities and holding position you for serious value appreciation in the future.

You need a strong technical analyze skill to become a day-trader.
Also your risk taking mechanism should increase.
And don't forget that you can trade every day and get 2-3 % of profit, but someone will just but Ecash, and receive 4000% per one day.

Good luck, find your trading style, and always receive profit)

Long term and short time depends on our target prices.  we should have targets for all altcoins that we diecide to buy. If they reach it fast it is short time if not it is long term. If you mean daily trades like buy and sell at %1 profit. it is sth ridiculous.

Day trading is not advisable for a newbie like you unless you want to lose your money.....you will require a lot of time to learn and right tools for you to be able to master the art of day trading and trade successfully...holding is more profitable on the long run and less risky

If you have a normal job, I would recommend you to trade less frequently and hold some undervalued coins for long term. If you have tons of free time, you can definitely try the day trading type of life. However, you have a lot to learn before jumping into day trading, which is risky.

The coins with the much price volatility are better for day trading and the coins witht estable price are good for holding. But I always prefer holding than trading because trading is risky job and much time is needed to make profit from it but in long term hold no effort needed just buy some potential coin and hold them for some years to make profits. But the answer will be change according to their personals and their needs. For me long term holding is better.

I don't actually day trade I do both day trading and buying and holding. I have been buying some altcoins and hold them for long-term and I have been selling some that I think might not do well for long time. Bitcoin is good to hold for a long-term and most of the altcoins and tokens are good to buy and sell when ever there get pump and dump respectively. Some of the coins have give me desirable results so there is no need of me holding them.

long term holding. I'm not experienced enough for day trading, although sometimes I use advance trading instruments to help out a bit. I have been thinking to enter proper day trading though, I would just need to study more resources first.

to get a lot of profit of course long term holding is a great choice. day trading is too risky and not everyone can do that, to hold coin you don't need an experience just follow your intuition and you can sell when you feel you will get enough of profit.

This really depends on the type of coins that you are holding. Also how much loss one is ready to take in the long term. For me, 60% of my portfolio is stored away in ledger for long term play and only 40% is for day trading.
