Actually, yes. The whitepaper is the only tool we have to understand something of the business, and even it's no perfect, with a little attention we can detect at least the most obvious scam.
It's about my money and my time, I don't want to lose them because of laziness.

Honestly I don't read white paper.  It's time consuming reading it.. I only read their announcement in bitcointalk and also I go to their facebook, in facebook you can see if their team had a hardwork for thier project.
If they attended some events that would introduce their product to the people..

First of all 90% of the white-papers contain plagiarized content. Only a few of the projects actually bother to put their own words in to the white paper. When I get a white-paper, I check whether it contain anything unique or not. If there is none, then I'll not bother to waste my time on reading it.

I have read the white paper in detail because I have translated some white papers from many projects.

I usually rely on other criteria, the way things are going to be done and the communities behind it. I did a good analysis and I decided to invest

As for me, I read Whitepaper only if I am going to invest in the ICO and I want to be sure it is a worthy project. In most cases the info on the website is enough to get an idea of the project.

I usually don't read the white paper, as you said, it's a waste of time. I use the Google search and project community to understand the project.

Perusing whitepaper is fundamental to make any great venture. It gives a prespective about the objectives, the thought behind the undertaking and guide thought of the task. Just when I discover the undertaking worth from the whitepaper, I make my speculation. It is a critical viewpoint which ought not be underrated.

I always read the whitepaper before following ico because it's so important, inside the whitepaper it's explained the project background, then the purpose, and all about the project is there ... so it's important to read it if you want the project that follow up worth it

Reading WhitePaper is really a great help for us to know and understand properly we could see the roadmap of them and the benifit we might have if we join and the most important thing you must do before investing is to read their WhitePaper for you to not lose your money. But i think few of people read WhitePaper because they choose to see the ico's roadmap because this is the easiest way to understand it quickly

Try first their one pager  Grin sometimes you just want to go to details if you still can't understand the summary or the essence of the project or you just want to find something that's not in their announcements. But yeah this whitepaper thing makes it the bible of the project so why not.

Yes, I think it’s the right and you know a lot about the project if you do that. ICOs are important because you don’t know which one is credible and which one is not. Finished Liven’s white paper but the time is right when you take more attention and deep consideration and marketing searching before doing any investment onto the project. Do not lose your fire to support.

agree with you. It's your money you are investing and it's your potential profit, so you'd better spend time on making a research and learning about projects, so you can make a right decision. Especially now, when there are lots of scam projects or projects with no future. It's pretty challenging to find a serious project. And, of course, it;s time-consuming, but it's worth it. Earning in crypto is not as easy as it seems.

It is necessary, if you are investing in cryptocurrency, I think it is necessary to read the white paper, read all the information related to the product, view the road map, the team and a series of knowledge about the currency, and when you read it, At least you will know what it is going to do, what you want to do, and a basic understanding. Just to judge how much value it has. The value is not worth your investment.

It’s really important to read especially when you want to invest money on them. Giving away money without any assurance is really idiotic ways ofcourse in order for you to have  the assurance you must read their whitepaper and know their team.

Yes, of course, people should read the whitepaper first to get to know the project's platform. It's very important for bounty participants and investors to verify the project's legitimacy and significance in the crypto industry. I would humbly suggest that in order to get familiar with the project, you must study and understand the project's purpose and be willing to learn every bit of their platform.
I'm not saying its easy but this is just normal.
