If you want to invest on an ICO, there is no other way but too read the whitepaper. Investing without reading whitepaper is a recipe for disaster. Its like giving money to someone you don't know. Possibilities are limitless but you need to know the SPECIFIC goal of the ICO and if its worth your money. You will also determine what kind of ICO they have. Absolutely yes i am reading the whitepaper of my subject to invest to know the real output of the project and there proposal in the future, such as business decision makers in a particular vertical, or technical decision makers that face a particular type of problem or need.

No, I'm just a bounty hunter and i'm not an investor so i put most of my effort in participating and doing bounties than reading the whole whitepaper. If i were an investor i think it is necessary to read the whitepaper so you can have clear understanding or idea on what you're putting yourself or your money into.White paper is important in so many ways, it is the summary of the project, all the information is in the white paper better read it before going in to a project.

We can read in whitepaper all the information we need and must knoW, It's not easy to promote something you didn't know unless you're just creating some false facts.

The reason for whitepapers is to have clear understanding of the project you have chosen to participate in before advertising same through the social media as bounty hunters. Whatever time spent on it is required as for reward at the end.
