This is the nightmare of any trader. Imagine holding a coin for a very long time without any serious gain, and after you finally decide to take your money back, the price now moons. You will feel very bad and frustrated, but you have to move on and look for the next coin to profit from.

Mad is an understatement. I get pissed off. It's really heartbreaking especially after it have dipped so much that you start hoping it recovers to a certain point so you see without possibly lossing everything only for it to recover well and skyrocket
There is no need to be angry when there is insanity or to be said to be crazy by other people, because usually such people do not fully understand the direction of the market so they always expect a good point in the price of any coin in the market so they forget about the sudden downturn.

Well for me, it is not really anger but rather see it in a funny way. There is one thing that we do not know in this world, one thing we all don't know, even those who don't do investments. That thing that we don't know is the future. We don't know the future and in cryptocurrency we don't know when the good prices will happen. It is either you follow what you instinct tells you, or HODL, or hold a little more time before you sell the coins. And most will just use their emotions at that time to decide that they will sell, not knowing that there is still an upward trend for the coin. So I do not get angry I do not regret my decision. I just know that it is what it is and move on from there.

Things like this are commonplace and now I am more receptive to this if in a sell state I have taken profit. Being someone who is greedy is of course very profitable, but when the profit target has been met, then our next task is to do another analysis to make and target new profits again.
Honestly, I really regret it when after selling, it turns out that the price goes up. But thinking logically with the brain will make our assets safer than we lose.

This is a really good question, but this one happens to resonate personally with me. Over the years there were several projects didn't practice my due diligence on and ended up selling super early before the coins or tokens mooned. In fact it I'm still beating myself up over it till this day, I just can't seem to let some things go, even though it is unhealthy!     Undecided

This often happens, but I don't really think too much about it because I definitely have my own target to sell altcoins. When the market is like today no one knows when it will be as strong as it is now. some of my altcoins have experienced high increases but I have already sold them. regrets do exist but that doesn't change anything. I am a doge holder and now I should have made a lot of money but .... already sold it Cry

I'm not angry, only disappointed to have sold it. this often happens to me like yesterday DOT, BNB, and ADA I'm sold it. I might have made a profit, but if only I was more patient I might get more profit. I thought the price had reached its peak, but in fact it could even go higher.

I have been investing in cryptos for some years now and i always have to fight a battle with myself whenever i sell some of my cryptos or close my positions in a trade and the price continues to go higher.

Sometimes i regret selling, while sometimes i just try not to look at the particular crypto anymore to avoid having regrets.

Do you also encounter this? And how do you deal with it?

Selling crypto early is definitely experienced by everyone, because crypto prices are very difficult to predict. So there is no need to be annoyed
if indeed after you sell coins, then after that the price of the coins goes even higher. The most important thing is that you managed to get a profit
even though it was small, so my advice is not to be too greedy to get maximum profit. If you invest like that, you will tire yourself, therefore
controlling emotions when investing is very important. So that you can always be grateful for whatever profit you get.

Nope, its very sad to see that whenever I sold my crypto in a much lesser value I still feel grateful that I managed to earn a good profit because I know that in this crypto world it is really hard to predict when will a crypto reach the peak and when it will burst down to the bottom so always be happy in every profit you get.

There is not one person on this forum or probably in the entire crypto-space who trades perfectly & sells at the top every time. I think it’s always important to never sell all your stash. That way if/when the price goes up you always have some left. At the end of the day any decent profit is good & better than anything you get in fiat banks now due to their awfully low interest rates.
It is true that no one is perfect in the market who always sells at the top. This time around i sold some of the coins i was holding for years when the value started to rise simply because i was a bag holder for multiple failed projects and during the last rally i had the opportunity to cash them out for a big profit but i kept on holding them and ended up holding all of those shit tokens and when the price started to rally this time i sold everything i was holding because i do not want to hold them again when the price goes down.

of course I experienced it too, but I always think positively, such as :
1. I have made a profit, so I don't lose anything
2. How if I continue to hold and don't sell when the price has increased or reached my target and what happens is the price doesn't increase but instead goes down

therefore, as long as you get a profit, then you must still be grateful for the profit you get Grin.
I like your mindset. I also think so, if it's profitable why should I regret it? after all, we cannot read the future, the predictions from the analysis can be in accordance with or inversely proportional to reality. if we realize this, we will not easily regret and grieve in case of cases like the op mentioned.
we just need to wait for the good chance to enter again, it's that simple. if stuck with regret, it can affect mental health whether in trading or investing. just enjoy, and get used to doing analysis.

I think your reaction to the change in price of a token after selling it will depend on the reasons for selling it for example if a token or a coin goes higher after you sell it but you only sold it because of the fear of a dip then he may feel bad but if you sold it at your profit objective then there is no reason why you should feel bad because they will always be more opportunities to invest into the crisis and you should have an orbit of taking profit along the way

I doubt that people would be selling out on partially behavior because when taking off profits then most of the time it would be a full scale or all in type of selling and then
consider on buying back if there's some opportunity.People cant really just accept or do easily regret when the time they do saw the price had shoot up even more after selling
out their coins but it doesnt really matter actually or such an issue because as long you do make out profits then thats the most important.
People are really just not really making themselves on being contented on what they had gained.

This happens to me all the time. Imagine let say you sell at a pretty decent amount and then the price continues to grow, I'd say everyone will felt remorse on selling early but you know what I think it is good enough as long as you get a profit in it. First of all, you don't know how the market will behave if you let your greed overcome you and ask for more this could cause a loss because it could go dip down instead of going up. What matters are you have your profit, you could still enter though if you think the growth will continue. We will all have regret but we must move on because there's a lot of opportunities ahead of us so why not focus on them.

The Standart Protocol - Solving Inflation
Of course we get mad, when i start trading crypto and investing to new project i get mad if i sold it too early. But now after many years i have been did it i know that early selling coin is not too bad, because there are always new opportunities every day or every year. There are always new good project to invest. For example : i was unbeliever to ethlend project, especially when the token dump to almost trash. But look at the project now. Its AAVE now. And i believe some of these new project will gives good return too for next 3-4 years. Maybe its student coin, maybe other..

You can never time the market perfectly. The fact that you sold and could have sold for more money is psychological. You could make the argument that you are taking out your initial capital and only trading profits, which would be a very smart thing to do. I would never take out more than 10% of my crypto investments though, blockchain is the next internet.
Despite the fact that some write that it is possible to calculate the price movements of a cryptocurrency, I think that this can not be done in all cases, which means that from time to time we will still regret selling the cryptocurrency when it starts to rise in price after that. This should be treated as normal work situations that will inevitably repeat itself. But we are human and have emotions, so regret is okay too.
