A an ICO marketplace project called Menlo. One is creating a platform where you will only be required to prove our identity once for KYC requirements. This mid-July, it's going to launch its token sale. When it goes live, investors will be able to buy different tokens within a single platform! I really think that this will change how we investors view ICOs since it will make it very easy and safer.

This is a link to Korean Jew's interview of Menlo's CEO where everything mentioned above is discussed in detail  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o&feature=youtu.be

I think it is more suspicous when they do not ask for KYC.
why?
Because they need to think of US and China regulations before they accept payments from investors if they dont to so , it is just a questions of time when they will get shut down .

KYC for the participants of the ICO generosity campaign is nonsense and stupidity, as well as illegal action on the part of the ICO team. We are not investors and therefore can not pass such a verification, it is illegal. This check is carried out to prevent the laundering of dirty money, and we do not invest in the ICO project. Sometimes it is also said that the US has banned its citizens from participating in ICO companies, and therefore this check is carried out to fulfill the requirements of this country. However, this prohibition is established in order to prevent the participation of citizens in risky investments in ICO projects, that is, this prohibition should again apply only to investors.
I never participate in those ICO projects where the KYC is not excluded.

Hi, everybody. Of course, moreover, I participate in several ICO in which KYC is required. And in my opinion there is nothing wrong. And usually they pay generously in good faith. Although of course, it is difficult to talk about all. But in General, I'm fine with it.

Do any of you participate in ICOs that requires KYC (Know your Customer). We actually experienced this one on exchanges but how about in partipating in ICOs or just even in airdrop that requires KYC.

I think it depends as for me as they are many scams as well just getting your information. In some instances, we can be blind sometimes, mkay? I really do not join airdrops if it requires too needy to get your personal information.

I believe some people are not cautious as long as they can join airdrops. How about you? What are your thoughts about KYC in ICOS?
There's nothing strange about it. If we want the crypto currency to be regulated in order to avoid constant manipulation in the market, sooner or later everyone will need to pass KYC. You will pass it now or later, I do not see any difference.

We always have the choice, to provide someone with their personal information, or not. If to take into account airdrop, which require KYC - I do not participate in such, but if it is investing in ICO projects, then this is normal, since almost all projects require it.
if you want to join and investing in ICO a project is almost all require us to verify KYC, but if for bounty participants are required to verify KYC still not all but there are already some, and I think it's a good thing applied for bounty participants to follow fairly avoid cheating.

I think almost every ICO now requires KYC verification and I really do not like this. It has lost the anonymity of digital money. Besides, it annoys me with too many verification steps and filling information. It is gradually losing its inherent nature

Yes, that it, in addition, your information is easy to share online, I know they need KYC to return the money to citizens of countries that can not join the ICO. And my goal is to make money, so I will KYC with the most powerful ICO.

Normally I skip the ICOs which requires me to do KYC. I don't have much issues in paying the taxes, but here in India the tax authorities are harassing anyone whom they suspect is dealing in Bitcoin. It doesn't really matter whether you are paying your taxes honestly or not.

Actually im always choosing ICO without KYC. however, some ICO are  only announcing that they require KYC after the campaign. So i have no choice but to fill up their KYC claim my rewards. I hope ICO must announce the KYC the moment they started.

As long as I  think the ICO project would it be possible for me to have a profit, then I will choose to participate in the ICO project investment, even if it requires KYC information, though I know most of the KYC information may be liable to leak

I don't plan on giving such a personal information on the internet. Especially when it comes to earning cryptocurrency. Because, we all know that scammers are lurking on the internet. We do not know if the information that we have given are safe in their hands.

Definitely not! The concept of KYC is incompatible with the notion of anonymity and decentralization

I have joined bounties where at the time of joining, no KYC was required or even talked about. But only towards the end of it, was a KYC needed. I don't think this is fair especially if those who took part may not be able to join - ie China and /or USA.

If it is upfront, then it depends on what the project is and who is behind it and who the bounty manager is.

If the project is good and the bounty is a little solid then for sure I'm gonna join a bounty that requieres KYC. We will adapt to this no matter what , but KYC is not necesary for bounties in my opinion.

Obviously, coin distribution will be wide and more serious investors can get in. Still have not forgotten about BAT ICO, in 4 seconds everything was sold to few whales. KYC and whitelisting eliminates this possibility.

Ico needs KYC, probably based on local laws!
The main purpose of KYC is to prevent money laundering or some other illegal activities!
Regulated ico, easier to protect the interests of investors!
