The current airdrop compared to a few years ago is very different. I've also stopped doing that even though before I always tried to find it but I'm currently not too focused on that because indeed my time is wasted a lot in searching and doing tasks but indeed as you said, the payment is not very clear which makes I quit.
It seems that the reason we are all almost the same is because regardless of anything, sometimes the pay is not worth the task that has to be done.
Those who are new in the crypto market will simply think that airdrops give them a chance to earn money but they never know that the developers of these projects just tricked them and the worse thing is that they will use this to collect personal information from the participants by urging them to comply their KYC in order to receive their rewards. And very unfortunate that they can't sell their coins as it was not yet been listed on exchanges, they are only stuck in their wallet hoping for nothing.

This may be due to the fact that there is actually a phase because looking at conditions like this for new people who are still very obsessed it is clear that they will always try to do this and that can be said to be natural because we have also experienced something like that.
But when they try more, of course they will also realize that conditions like this will not be as good as what is being done and indeed time can make that an answer later.
On the other hand, we also can't make bans or whatever it is for new people because indeed this is also not very good later, but when talking about suggestions, maybe this should be abandoned immediately, even though it is possible to try, but don't have high expectations for it.

Hunting is an understatement, you need to put in more effort and sometimes money to qualify for an airdrop, unlike what it used to be in the past when you don't do much to get airdropped. Things are really moving faster in the crypto space. I have not been able to qualify for any airdrop of late because of the processes involved. it is time consuming.
A lot of good and worthy airdrops have happened recently which I really regret not being a part of.
There are quite a few types of airdrops and the airdrop that you mean is probably several airdrops that provide quite a lot of incentives such as Aptos, Optimism and the last one which is still quite new, namely BLUR. But to be able to get the airdrop, of course, you need capital to be able to interact with the platform, and it's also not easy to find. But for other types of airdrop there are still many that are easier, especially now that it is Web3 and the input and tasks for each airdrop are very easy and fast. We also don't know which one will give the big incentive, do all of them do their job and you will get the jackpot from one of them.

My opinions is that it is better to avoid airdrops then try luck and participate in them. The only thing you can achieve right now is garbaging your wallet with trash tokens, that you receive from time to time due to activity of your wallet and etc. The more you flash your wallet in airdrops, the more scam projects send you their tokens to cheat you. Besides, projects with promising ideas dont use airdrops for promotions today. They dont need telegram groups filled with bots anymore, they dont need social medias trashed with thousands of replies and shares anymore. Such promotions dont work today.

Airdrop is outdated, since 2018 I have not seen a good airdrop campaign that paid good amount for money,  99% of the projects failed to pay and the few that paid are in few dollars, around, 1$ to 10$,  this was what I've seen in past airdrops I joined. The best way to earn free tokens from new projects right now is through testnet, today,  many new projects are still looking for testers and I have joined many, like Arbitrum, Shardeum,  zksync, and a few others, I believe that testnet is worth anybody's time than airdrops.
For now, the airdrop is indeed very difficult to make money. Personally, I haven't been looking for an airdrop for a long time. In fact, even today's airdrop is quite difficult to generate $ 1 or even $ 10 for each project worked on. some people said that among the many airdrops he worked on, only a few paid, and among the results of the payment, almost all of them had no price.

In previous years, there were still quite a lot of people looking to profit from airdrops. like doing a lot of airdrops, and maybe only a few pay, but from that little, it can be quite a lot of results. however, this year it seems that it has become even more difficult. I prefer to make money from the way you suggest, or maybe by learning trading or staking. from the various opinions that I get, currently working on airdrops just spends time.

I have given up on airdrops since 2018. At that time I thought I would spend a lot of time exploring crypto money niches but after only a few projects paid a trickle of value.  I focused on researching, learning investment strategies, learning how to build a plan.  I also admit that before 2017, airdrops really exploded in value of their own but perhaps after that, it has gradually decreased in value.

so many airdrops having restrictions in order to make many of airdrops participants waste their time and didn't get their rewards, that's one of the many reasons that I think airdrops in general aren't just worth your time anymore. I'd say you better off learning real skill and get better jobs than just wasting your life following some of the airdrops that certainly will result in disappointment usually.

I agree that airdrop is outdated but it's one of many options for new comers to get free tokens if they didn't know about how to join testnet, also many people join airdrop because they heard from their friends. What I know a lot of projects paid their rewards to the users but only a small amount was worth something.

Almost all airdrop videos on YouTube are all scams, do not try hunting for airdrops using YouTube videos, those airdrops links in Youtube videos are all fake links and once you connect your wallet your tokens will be wiped out.

Find the project team or the o projects official telegram group and ask them if they are doing any airdrops or giveaways, this is the perfect way to expose or know the truth about any airdrop campaign.

Let's be careful what we connect our crypto wallets to.

It would be better for the people who always participate in airdrops to set up a special wallet for airdrops and deposit a small amount of money into it, so that they can use this money for the transaction fees only. If the airdrop was legit, they could get the airdropped tokens and transfer them to another safe wallet, and if it was a scam, they would not lose a lot of money. I used to use this method to avoid getting scammed during the airdrop seasons in 2021 and 2022. However, the most profitable airdrops I got were sent directly to my wallet without claiming them. One of them was Juno for Atom holders.

Airdrop hunting is no longer lucrative and I'll consider it as a waste of time and effort. Secondly, there's a risk of loosing your information to the wrong person's as those information could serve as a tool for hacking or luring you to be hacked. I'll prefer to stay away from airdrops as they no longer worth the time, effort, and risk.
Season of earning massive profits via airdrop is gone and I don't think such an opportunity would unveil itself again, then most of the new projects distribute their tokens reaned via airdrops apart from tokens earned from bounty hunting once those  tokens got listed in exchange definitely there are reasonable and valuable rewards for the holders, but now 99% of airdrops is worthless and waste of time as matter of fact some developers require some ETH in exchange for airdrop token, personally I had diverted my attention to other ventures.
You are both right. It's been very difficult to benefit from the airdrop right now, and it probably won't return. But I feel it will be replaced by another trend that will give crypto users quick money because it seems like a repeating cycle in the crypto world. And now, when airdrops are not profitable anymore, people have to try to find other ways and I see they are still hunting for airdrops that are still there in the hope of being as profitable as before. I think now is the time to invest instead of hunting for airdrops because it may soon be time for the market to reverse course and have another altcoin season and a bull run.
For me nowadays  I don't want to participate in airdrops it because nowadays there are many scam air drops there during the event of airdrops. Not all but some nowadays I DONT KNOW why there are many scam sites promising good airdrops but when there project got loss then that will leave you in the air. But there are few project that good and successful so some people still receive good tokens.
If we speak at this time, I also never again participated in Airdrop because since 2017-2018, many airdrop projects became frauds and made many people complain. In addition, if we want to get the airdrop gift, we must fill out a form containing our personal data for whatever they ask us to do it. I agree that many scam sites promise Airdrop that can provide huge benefits when the airdrop token goes into the market but in fact, they fled after getting something from us. We must avoid this and look for promising projects, but this is not easy because of the many projects out there that may be less than 10% that can succeed in the future.

I joined many airdrops a while ago but many times I could not cash out my rewards. This made me give up on airdrops and getting free tokens. Too many poor projects and not so much real value for my time and efforts.

And the tokens I do have, they hold very low value. What I like to do is use my free tokens from the airdrops to buy Bitcoin with them. But it is not something that always works in my favor when no exchange will let me sell them for Bitcoin.

I completely agree with this statement. It is important for crypto holders to be aware of potential scams and to exercise caution when it comes to airdrops. Many scammers use YouTube videos to lure unsuspecting individuals into fake airdrops and steal their tokens.

As suggested in the statement, it is always best to go directly to the project team or official Telegram group to inquire about any airdrops or giveaways. This helps to verify the legitimacy of the airdrop and avoid falling prey to scams.

Additionally, it is important to be aware of the risks associated with connecting your wallet to unknown or suspicious websites or links. It is always best to exercise caution and ensure that the site or link is legitimate before sharing any personal or wallet information.

I tried doing an airdrop hunting a few months ago but I ended up feeling upset with the result because most existing airdrops nowadays are clearly scams. They will asks for your details including your social media links and would ask you to do a lot of tasks but the payment isn't clear.
If we will look back on the airdrops that we had a few years ago, airdrops nowadays aren't that profitable anymore. I find it a waste of time so if you want to make a profit or earn good coins, better find other alternatives and opportunities in crypto world.

Indeed!

This would be their first step blocks on learning on crypto just like me into those earlier years where airdrops did really caught up my attention because you could basically earn some free tokens.
Wayback it was really just that simple on acquiring these things but nowadays it do really even asks out for some KYC or verification and some do even ask out for fee or tasks which is really that hard to
to be done or to complete. Also we do have lots of scam projects in the market which it would really be causing for you to deal with those shit ones and wasting
up your money basically on dealing with them.

You are right. We can't trust any airdrop channels both on YouTube and telegrams because almost all of them are scams. The airdrop era is over already, even bounty is no longer worth joining. That's why most forum members of this forum only focus on following signature campaigns paid in BTC, or focus on trading altcoins on exchanges to earn money.

I never click the airdrop links, I know it is very risky. In my opinion, even if the airdrop links can work but the result of the airdrop will be cents only. So, I simply forget it because I assume it just wastes time and effort.

When it comes to airdrop hunting, there are two types of airdrops.

1. Testnet Airdrops: In this scenario, You do not need real funds to get the airdrops. you can use the test tokens to test the projects/ecosystem  and give feedbacks.
2. Mainnet Airdrops: In this scenario, You need real funds to get the airdrops.

Most of the YouTubers talk about mainnet airdrops only. So most of the users will lose their money trying to get rich quickly.

My other point is that sometimes projects' social media accounts could get hacked(Eg: Discord).  So then if the hacker has posted some scam links in the discord announcements about airdrops, we might blindly connect our wallet to get that airdrop as soon as possible. This is the most common way to expose our wallets to hackers.
