They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?
Yes, most sites often give money to buy a rating, I would certainly not much began to trust, it is better to start to understand the cryptocurrency and ico and then choose yourself

for some reason ICO agencies are indeed reliable but as we know the ICO rating is not a reference to making a project successful. for me personally the ICO project was successful or not determined from the existence of the media and partners in promoting the ICO. Moreover, transparency between developers and investors is very important for the success of the ICO

There are different ICO Rating sites. For example, icodrops is a quit good service. THey have videos of theit analitic. But icobench is too bad. I know a man from their marketing team and he said that all ratings are paid by ICOs.

I don't completely trust you. I have 3 sites that I trust the most. Further I regard every. Plus he was doing the analysis. And based on all my findings and sites, I choose the project.

I don't anymore. I have witnessed some evident scam ICO project rated pretty high on these rating websites. One such project is Neluns which is nothing but a crap project full of lies. But was rated quite high on various famous rating websites. So don't trust such websites. They are misleading. Be cautious before investing.

I always learn about new ICO from popular listing sites, but I also check comments about ICO and study ICO site or ask opinion from friends.

I would say there is a degree of bias, but in general, they do some great reviews and give great detail. I personally like to do my own research and steer clear of them as to not be "influenced" so it depends on what kind of investor you are really. I would not dump 10k into a project based on a review of somebody else, I would have to check out all the details myself.

Only some of them. If the team changes dates without announcement and ICO rating site just follows them, there is no trust at all, because they help to fool investors.
we cannot fully trust ICO rating sites because they cannot be trusted completely.
I believe in our own choice because then if I fail, I can gain experience that can be used to look for the next ICO. and if we succeed in getting a good ICO, we will be very satisfied because it is our own choice.

I stopped believing these sites due to the fact that almost all the ICOs provided on these sites led me to a loss. I think we should be critical of this information.

I investigate some projects on rating sites but this is just for getting more information on several sources.
Please DYOR and don't trust them. They get almost %50 of ICO's funding money.
They are basically marketing sites for scams.

I don't trust. On many sites ratings are bought.I trust only my analysis and opinion of people who understand blockchain technology
I believe in that. I am sure, those who give branches are professional teams. well, of course it also supports the development of the project, especially if many professional webs provide that rating. it will really support the development of the project in terms of investment, and trust.

When choosing an ico, I certainly pay attention to the ratings of the project on ICO trackers. Most of all I trust such resources as icoholder and icobench. These resources are as fair as possible in my opinion evaluate companies. But whatever assessment they put to the project, it's not the main thing I'm looking at. I look at the site, the product, the experience of the team, the technical document, the support of the project funds, etc

Ratings make evaluation of ICO very poorly. Just imagine that most of them just place random numbers without any analysis. How can anybody trust them?

I treat ICO rating sites with doubt. They can just give me an overall review of the project and that's all.
Now I'm involved in couple of projects that have 3 stars from ICOBench.
And yes, concerning ICO ratings:

ICO ratings are about profit, so they are ready to promote any shitcoins, so there is no way to trust them completely. You should better search the forum.

This is a dark deal. For a project, a truly fair and objective comment is the most important, not use money to buy a higher rating. In my opinion, this is a kind of deception.

Well regarding this matter if you can really trust ICO rating sites then all I can tell you is that ICO rating sites are being developed in order to gain financial support from the ICO it is advertising most specially to the ICOs who received positive response from this ICO rating sites.
