I once tested a debit card that accepted bitcoins as a loading option.
Some online shops acepted it, other did not. Then the money was put on hold and I had to wait a few weeks until it was cleared as a refund.
Personally I do not use it anymore because most shops I intended to use that card now accept bitcoin directly.

I can't find local options for Bitcoin credit cards and they have even bigger fees than the conventional credit cards

So I prefer pay directly with BTC, when not possible I just withdraw from some exchange what I need

Just curious how many users use one of these..

I've started using Xapo and its pretty good actually.
I can buy whatever I want with BTC.

They have some fees,I tried finding some companies with lower fees but no luck.

They card costs 18$,I guess it was..Actually all companies want like 15$-20$ for a debit card.
Which is a good investment..I guess..

Which one do u use and what are their fees? Smiley

Wow. The bitcoin really have grown. From some online-crypto-thing, now we have a debit card to use.
Although my mom use to say, use cash only, never get yourself a debit card/credit card. Hopefully she will change mind if I tell her about this. Cheesy

XAPO is making ways to make their wallet more usable by their holders, tho it is a good strategy, but it will make the users to spend more, anyway who does not want to  try to spend their bitcoin in public.

Debit cards. Ohhh. Created to make people be tempted into using it. This is a good strategy by Xapo into making their wallet more profitable and it will be fast considering there are a lot of people who would want to try it. Yeah, who dont? We want to spend our hardworked bitcoins sometimes to just feel the goodness of it.

No I do not have any bitcoin Debit card as there is no any ATM for bitcoin in my country, I hope it will reach sooner to our country as the users of bitcoin are increasing faster in my country and the government is also in its favor.

If I'm not mistaken, these are not true Bitcoin payment cards. These cards are like regular Mastercards or Visas with the only difference being that your account to which they are linked is a Bitcoin account (otherwise known as online wallet)...

The benefit is that you don't have to convert your bitcoins to fiat manually

Oh! will that debit cards from bitcoin wallet work on our normal ATM machines?
If that is right then I will order one as soon as possible as I also have not ordered it because of the idea that it will not work on normal ATMs,
If you meant the swipe machines then it would work as they are just visa / mastercard debit cards just there are loaded with bitcoins.
I have used spectocoin virtual debit card to make purchase from online stores that don't accept bitcoins till now.

No I don't. As a European, my choices are quite limited + the fee is high.

I have never used any of the cards relating to  bitcoin. Registered for the card that's been issued by bit-x, fortunately haven't received the card. That card is available for selected countries with limited services.

Same here and even if it was available worldwide what's the essence of such a card(with high transaction fees, I'm told). It defeats the purpose of decentralization because you'll be having your funds kept by the card company and they can be hacked. I think everyone should learn how to keep his/her wallet safe.

They got fees for each transactions?
Damn, 20$ + fees it's not cheap xD

Anyway I don't really like the idea because that means putting your BTC on xapo... And that's not something I'll ever do I think.

to this day i can not see any usefulness in using a bitcoin debit card.
if i want to spend bitcoin i would spend bitcoin directly from my phone/bitcoin wallet and directly to the merchants bitcoin wallet. any other way is not spending bitcoin, and a bitcoin debit card goes through the third party, changes it to fiat and takes lots of fees to let me use it! so what is the point, i am going to use a fiat debit card for free (no fees for using it here) and use bitcoin directly if i can.

So far right now in my country don't have any debit card for bitcoin, because most of the people here don't about bitcoin/ digital currency. I wish sooner or later we could have that chance so I can experience to use it anywhere I go.

According to their system of auto top up I also like xapo much, but it is not available in my country. In the meanwhile I found a local exchange in my country and whenever I want I withdraw my money from that exchange and use them with my bank card.

I do not use because in my country there is no such service. Although, even if there was, I would not have used it. I'm still just hold Bitcoin and do not spend it

No VISA or Mastercard in your country, are you joking ?

For now it does not exists here in my country the use of bitcoin debit card, well i hope so its gonna be happening soon.Maybe it gives a little help with direct use in terms of paying , i hope that all the shops or even establishments here will be accepting bitcoins as a mode of payment, i hope so.

I would like to tell when we say bitcoin debit card we mean a card where we can load with bitcoins but we can use it like as our cards with fiat money. Most of them are virtual but if pay a small fee can come in your home after some days. More over some of them are prepaid too. You can use them like the other ordinary cards in ATM to withdraw fiat, for purchases online and so on. Some of them are https://spectrocoin.com/ and https://www.e-coin.io/.
