I don't use crypto that much beside for trading purposes as i haven't find a shop that accept crypto in my country, the government banned the use of crypto as a payment option so my only choice is to use crypto to trade or buy someting online like giftcard or some computer games. I do hope that they will lift that ban so in the future i can use crypto everywhere.

Honestly, i am not really using it everyday because i only use it in case to case basis. The purpose of crypto as alternate to fiat as medium for payment of goods and services has not really served its purpose because i use cryptocurrencies as an investment.

Definitely yes. I used cryptocurrencies in my everyday life. Im enjoying collecting and holding even small amount of crypto in my wallet and when i need to use it, it very convenient to use, you can even use it to pay the things you bought over the internet only , without leaving your home.

All the best for your survey here. I would like to contribute some info here and I guess using the crypto currencies in the daily life is getting very tough these days. They never had been easy previously too but these days due the government getting more and more concern about the crypto currencies they are now imposing the laws on it. So its like before even we can start the use of crypto over the internet its getting very very difficulty due to such stuff. I guess where we can use it just the other crypto projects bridging the whole real world and the crypto. Like you know those gift card companies etc.

No, I don't use cryptocurrencies and besides keeping them on my desktop wallet and staking, there is not much use for them. Maybe there will be in the future.

When the price of the bitcoin is high, I convert some of my coins to fiat and it use to buy some important needs. But I'm not using it daily especially during bearish market and I'd rather hold it and wait for the price to go up again before using it. In my country, there are only stores that accept bitcoins so I mostly convert it to fiat to be able to buy something.
I also used to do it when the altcoins were growing well, and you could make a very good profit exchanging them for fiat. Now, I just hold the cryptocurrencies and do not use them in my everyday life.

I like to use cryptocurrencies because they have been good and will continue to be good for me. I am not considering the current prices on the market but what I know is that they really have helped me.

This and other questions are part of a questionnaire that we, a research team from the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL) are doing. It seeks to understand the drivers' usage of cryptocurrencies by the end user such as you and me. Considering 10 different dimensions, from perceived usefulness to privacy to profitability, among others.
It takes on average 3 minutes to answer.

For this, it was created a questionnaire with Likert type scale questions. These dimensions will then be used to construct a model, based on the traditional Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) developed in 1989, and some others developed afterwards, but with more adapted to the cryptocurrencies ecosystem. Then it will be done some data analysis and compilation of results.
This questionnaire has some focus on the financial area, but this does not mean it is the most important. We know there are some other dimensions not being addresses in this questionnaire, such as decentralisation/government influence, that may be addressed in the future.
After analysing and publishing the thesis and papers I will post on this forum with infographics and the most important conclusions of the study.
There are no open questions, but you can post here or message me about this.

I admit that they are not that useful yet like fiat or like cash or credit card because there are only few people and stores that are accepting them as a payment especially in some places like here in our country. There are accepting but again the dauly basis is not a part of them but I know that they will grow in the next years so I am just gonna wait until that happens.

I have not used it at all, because in our country there are still appeals about the dangers of using crypto so that almost all fields have not supported crypto transactions and services
Not just only in your country but as of now in many countries, we can't buy things with cryptos directly. In the country also no shop accepts crypto as a payment option.
Nice. I personally love it. Every time i see that some service is available via crypto payments i do it that way. First i dont disclose my information, and it is quick and safe.

You need to remember one thing that crypto is not a reversible payment so the seller may try to scam you after they receive payment. So you have to choose only reputed services to send payment via cryptos or go with an escrow. Many people lost their coins after sending payments to unknown person online so you should be careful while dealing online particularly with non-reversible payments.

in my country there are still not many people who can use cryptocurrency so I still haven't used too much cryptocurrency for everyday life but there are exchange places in the country that can exchange your bitcoin or cryptocurreny that you have in local currency.

indirectly. all I do is convert crypto to fiat, then use it for my daily life. and I think to use it directly, it will be difficult. because there is no market that provides goods for everyday purposes that receive payments using crypto.
Yeah true, I also not using cryptocurrency in a daily basis because crypto is not yet 100% accepted in the society. The adaptation is far of happening specially in some areas in the world. As of now I only use crypto every two months and I have to convert it into local fiat money to be useful because in my country there is no business that accept bitcoin as payment.

Yeah just like I did because I know that bitcoin can't be used for payments in offline or physical stores. so you won't be able to use it to pay for your daily needs, so it requires me to convert it to fiat to pay for the needs

sometimes bought computer parts and phones at a telephone store. Usually I order it on the darkweb stuff. never had any problems with it. The orders are also delivered quickly at home.
Goes faster as a normal bank transfer and also pay not even a cent tax on my crypto, which happens with fiat money.
I hope it will soon become more accepted at local electronics stores.

I don't use them everyday but they certainly are very useful. Whenever I need to send money to other people over long distances (even overseas), I can just send them bitcoin instead. Luckily, I also have the option to pay my monthly bills using crypto here so no more queuing up in lines.

I did not answer any of the questions in your questionnaire. I feel not comfortable answering it because of the fear that it may be another modus if I do.i will be waiting for some feedback on some users who answer your survey.
It is just a survey I filled it up myself and it looks great to me, they are not asking for personal information or any critical data like passwords, private keys etc like a typical scammer does, it took me more than 3 minutes to finish the surveys not that time consuming for us and it will be useful for their research purposes, crypto technology and it's system are still progressing so we might see some major adoption most especially it will be useful for daily live activities.
