What you are doing is the correct way of investing in ICO as if the team members are real then you can proceed to read their whitepaper where they give full details about their project and development strategy. If not it is better to avoid that ICO and better buy and sell the reputed regular coins and earn through trading.
I myself haven't joined the ICO for a long time, where there are not many ICOs from the beginning of 2018 that have made investors profitable. then, how can investors trust the ICO project now, if they don't make better products and sell on the market. products that the market can enjoy will be products that have value, projects like that we are looking for.

Of course, you should do research before joining any ICO. I'm first investigating the team members of the project. Then I reading the whitepaper. Finally, I reading the comments of other investors on the social media about the project. If I am trust the project after these researches then I joining with that ICO.

Definitely, first thing first before giving the money up on such ICO we, and mostly people are doing up some research. Well, the research purpose is to avoid getting scammed by these ICOS, well leading up to avoiding losing a lot of money if the investor is a big investor. Nobody would dare to put his/her own money at risk without knowing any sort of background to such ICO, no one. People or the investors are more likely to invest if an ICO does have any good background for the investor to invest with, to trust their money. Such research, and trust are the only means you would hold between the ICO and your money though. So you must or the investor must do a good, specified research before leaving the money on the hands of those ICO. Well, speaking of ICO it is something like a play, you invest then they make your money grow something like gambling though you're not the player you just have a specific contribution some thing like bitcoin casino, I really love to play. Well, you could play a lots of game if you do mind investing on ICO wherein you're not the man doing your job making your money grow, you might as well try playing some sort of this stuff, beside having fun, the luck is in with you also. You could play a lots of gambling games here.

ICOs, or Initial Coin Offerings, have become a popular way for cryptocurrencies to raise funds from the public. However, they have also become an easy way to prey on the vulnerable, and the financial regulator recently warned customers about what it calls “these very high risk, speculative investments”. It warns that there’s little consumer protection and high potential for fraud, as well as high volatility. Some ICOs are regulated by the FCA, but this is on a case-by-case basis, depending on how they are structured.

As the FCA says, you should fully research any ICO before handing over your money. “You should only invest in an ICO project if you are an experienced investor, confident in the quality of the ICO project itself,” a spokesman says. Alternatively, consider investing or trading with a regulated provider.
Een after you finished many times the research about the project you are going to invest you still can't say for sure that this project is legit or not because ICOs can run into scam at any stage or even after the sale over so as mentioned above it is highly risky investment and not for to everyone to be investor on ICOs.

it is very important for research anything when you invest your money to ICO. so many people got scamed invested ICO because invested dont know what it
When we do a proper research to the ico and we can get decent profit. I remember when those binance IEO has already created pre-ico and so many people have joined in it. Most of people are getting scammed by ico caused by they can't even do a good research to the ico.

ICOs are a big risk. Do people still invest in ICOs despite how many of them failed in 2018? I think the IEO model is still a bit better than the old ICO ones which lack regulations

I use to research ICO's in 2017 , 2018 . Not Now , i don't see future in ICO's anymore . Ofcourse they are quite alive yet , but mostly IEO's is the ones i research . As i know , really good projects that collect 100+M USD - 1 Billion USD are behind closed doors with private investors . Ofcourse project IEO's on Binance launchpad is good ones aswell , but not as good as the ones behind the closed doors =] Sometimes you can see new token listed on coinmarketcap with like 100+M usd marketcap and if you check funding then you will see that most of them got private funders .

I wonder reading so many users agreeing that they research before investing in ICO but I have also read in the scam accusation section on numerous scamming thread too.  Grin

Is it that the researches are not properly done or that the team his certain red alert information from researchers...

You have said it all with good points. Nowadays anyone investing in any ICO because of hype is not doing himself good. There is need to reduce scam rate which can only be done when an investor makes good research before investing in any project

You shouldn't be making any investments without doing deep research beforehand and that is universally true.  It does appear that ICOs have more than their fair share of risk associated with them though and they are an easy method for scammers to take people's money.

The ICO market is nowhere near as lucrative in recent years and I would look at any investment in them as a speculative long term investment.  Short term success from ICOs just doesn't exist in the current market and it is usually more cost effective to buy on an exchange after they are officially listed.

I am wondering why the majority of people still do not research the project before investing money into it. The most blind investors are feeding fraud and scam projects and after they realise that the project was a scam, they are crying about their funds. Always do a good research.

It is certain that before investing in ICO or conducting a trade we need to first examine how their work maps and the contents of their entire project, because this is concerned with personal funds and we must always be prepared to accept the risks as well.

Researching before investing is what differentiate a professional from a newbie, buying ICO without knowing the usefulness of the project, without know what the project stands to offer if is realistic or not, without knowing much about the project team, if solid or just anyhow group of people, I guess is a wasted investment.

Of course, I make research before investing in ICO because if I don't do that, how I can find the good ICO in out there and I can prevent from the scam projects. That is what we need to do if we want to invest in any programs on the internet and real life so we can get more information related to the programs. We can know the details of the project, and it will help us to decide if the project is good or not so we can join it later. But of course, that is not easy to get almost all of the information for the project because the new project doesn't have a history and we need to search it by ourselves.
