I have been wondering how directly and indirectly fluctuations in the price of bitcoin affects ICOs performance at that time. Anyone who knows this can assist in the explanation.
Price of Bitcoin influences whole market in general. BTC can be seen like a blue chip and most remaining coins will follow him accordingly including some different intensity of ups or downs. But trend looks always very identical.

Bitcoin affects ICO both directly and indirectly. Directly because Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and the most seen by investors in measuring markets, it will affect the ICO project's best-selling.
Indirectly because Bitcoin has a large community in the world, then any issue is very influential on ICO growth.

Bitcoin does not directly affect ICO prices, but the impact of price changes that occur on Bitcoin will affect Ethereum. We know all that Alternative coins on average use the Ethereum platform. So that the decline in the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum will have a negative impact on all Altcoin.

Yes, cheap.bitcoin market price maybe good to a successful ICO project to become more successful because their token will be paired while bitcoin market price is cheap. This will relatively help the team to implement the projects more confidently when bitcoin there is bitcoin market price increase. Most of the ICO's now that are doing crowfunding nowadays will have some hard time when listing due to the current market.
Oddly enough, Bitcoin still has a very strong effect on the entire cryptocurrency market. In addition, very few ico companies are tied to the dollar, although the words are voiced about the inadmissibility of the influence of Bitcoin. In fact, everything happens differently.
I have already seen that Bitcoin affects the entire cryptocurrency market, which means that its influence was and will be on the pricing of new projects. In any case, if the price of Bitcoin rises now, it will be a green signal for the entire market.

Bitcoin plays a very important role in the crypto market. So once Bitcoin falls, it will affect the entire crypto market as well as all ICOS campaigns become failures. This we see is 2018. As ICOS campaigns fail to mobilize capital from investors. Because Bitcoin is the currency that controls the price of the crypto market.

Definitely yes, it's because of the price of bitcoin is the basis in converting into fiat and the pairing with the altcoins. If the price of bitcoin will dumps then the expected money they should be collected will also fall below the original value. This is now the risk in launching the ICO as the price is too volatile and they should consider that at the early stage.

There aren't many ICOs now reaching the softcap because the bitcoin price has fallen. Many investors count in bitcoin / ethereum rather than USD so if they only invest 2 ETH then the equivalent value is not enough for the project to succeed.
Bitcoin really has a big effect. when the value of decreasing ico itself must experience a decline as well and they must be able to add funds back to the value of the investment that is declining. of course this is actually very detrimental

I think you can see this question's asnwers by yourself, all market depends on btc this is clear for us and this unfortunately affects icos, good altcoins and everything especially in bear market.
For the price of the token itself is certainly not affected by the price of bitcoin, because the price of tokens is determined by several things in the ICO specifications (team project), but when the ICO has been listed in exchange, then all aspects can affect the ico market, including the price of bitcoin..

I don't think it has much effect on the ico coin, but rather it has an effect on ETH and other altccoin.
we know ETH is the most used platform by most ico, so the price of bitcoin will still have an impact on ico, through ETH prices.

The price of Bitcoin has a great impact on ICO. When the price of Bitcoin is low, no new investors will enter, the cryptocurrency market will become sluggish, and ICO will not succeed. Only the price of Bitcoin will take off the entire cryptocurrency. It is getting better.

it could if the ICO price is connected to the BTC rate, but many ICO's are connected to ethereum so it wont fluctuate that much. but since majority of user know about crypto currencies through BTC and can't tell the difference between altcoins and BTC it could affect the rate of the ICO as well.

The base currency of most ICO is altcoin and it is well known fact that altcoin prices respond to bitcoin movement in the Cryptocurrency market.  In fact bitcoin impact on altcoin is very direct!

I think the effect is certainly there because the current market also has a major impact on the development of ico, which is currently decreasing in terms of investor interest.

Bitcoin price affects the price of all cryptocurrencies not just ico. We can see that from the recent dump in price of Bitcoin, all other coin prices dumped so low because of Bitcoin price and since ethereum is the ICO king, bitcoin price directly affects the price of ETH which then affects the ICo's and ERC20 tokens indirectly.

That's right, the analysis is very correct. The price of Bitcoin affects all cryptocurrencies, including ICO. Once ICO invests, ICO is also depreciating sharply, so the bad cryptocurrency market will cause many investors to leave the cryptocurrency.

Yes, the price of Bitcoin does indeed affect ICO coin prices and affect the development of the ICO project. And it has been proven that in 2018 the price of Bitcoin dropped very sharply. And this caused many ICO projects to fail and fake ICO projects to increase. But when this Bitcoin price increased, many ICO coins also grew.

Price Ethereum always follows the increase in Bitcoin prices. So that the decline in the price of Bitcoin greatly affects the price of ICO coins. The decrease in the price of Bitcoin will affect Ethereum and all Altcoin. Although we see that many ICOs use the Ethereum platform.
Yes ethereum price affect icos and ethereum being affect from bitcoin so answer is yes generally. But best projects don't affect much like Quarkchain, they did ico in 2018 and their price rised very much after ico.
