I don't even think that if we understand the project itself, there always be a risk on it which you couldn't afford it someday. I'd rather read the whole market situation to buy an altcoin than learn about the project which I'd like to buy.
for now, yes, when the price goes down and the red market has been going on for a long time, the crypto becomes full of risks and even the benefits are lost. because we don't get any profit when the market goes down, and the government really says that this is very dangerous for us.

I don't think so. Cryptocurrency have high risk indeed, but the gain is high too. If you see past ICO's, there were many tokens or coins succeed.
The price is above 5x from initial price. You can mention the coin such TRON, the profit is real.
But now, ICO seems not to profitable because there are too many of them, which can be a scam project.

There is no benefit without risks. Crypto market by definition is very risky due to its high volatility. However, high risk can come with huge profit or loss, this is why one of golden rules in Crypto is to never invest more than you can afford to lose.
Regarding benefits, timing is also extremely important. On the same market and with the same assets (ex: 10 BTC) someone having bought btc in 2013 has much more benefits than someone having bought the same amount of btc a few years after. Even in this bearish market you can have huge profits if you just sell what you bought earlier than 2016 for instance.
This is new kind of money so I think risk is there. I think risk is there due to unacceptance in some countries. And I afraid counting is increasing. If it is acceptable at most of main countries then I think there will be less risk.
