If Bitcoin were to completely bottom out, what would happen to the altcoins?
You have created this thread in the peak of dumping of market , when Bitcoin and altcoin is swimming to Bloody Market.

So i can't blame you from thinking like this.

What will happen is still depend to the people who Uses crypto , But more or less before this happen surely there will be another great coin to take over.

I believe that Satoshi had a vision where blockchain technology and cryptocurrency would be the foundation of the world. But as we all know Rome wasn't built in a day(unlike bitcoins run to 20k). What if in this vision Bitcoin wasn't meant to be the gold of the internet but rather a mold of what should be created. When comparing bitcoin to its rivals, it is usually at a disadvantage in the technology department yet, it is still the most valued crypto. While Lightning network has been less than impressive, other crypto tech has been stealing the spotlight. Ripple is currently holding the fastest transaction time of roughly 3 seconds(avg. transaction time for bitcoin~60min). EOS while navigating a rough mainnet launch is dropping EON which looks to fundamentally solve problems within EOS. Investors are already talking about EON being crypto-gold in the near future.
I also do believe in Satoshi's Visualization .

Don't give up hope if Bitcoin does take a turn for the worst. Trust the Tech, better days are on their way.

None of us think of this , Only you are making this worst as an issue , so tell that to yourself i think?

Altcoins have already got used to and strengthened in this market, and, in my opinion, they may well continue to exist on their own if something happens to Bitcoin. It cannot be denied that this will be a big shock for this market, but it will continue to exist. But I don't see any serious concerns for Bitcoin yet. So far, this is all at the level of thinking about possible events.

I don't think that if Bitcoin disappears (which I don't believe) it will mean the end of the whole crypto market. Blockchain technology is gaining momentum in many companies in various fields of activity and many of them have their cryptocurrencies used for various purposes.

Certainly if Bitcoin "dies" it will have a big impact, but it will not be the end of the crypto market - in my opinion.

Yes and no at the same time. If Bitcoin dies, then cryptomania will die. BUT! This is most likely not going to happen. On the contrary, Bitcoin will be developed and implemented in other areas. As for assertion, it will disappear over time. It simply will not make sense when Bitcoin is used everywhere.
Why should cryptocurrency disappear if something happens to Bitcoin? I don’t think that altcoins will not be able to exist without bitcoin. Now they have become quite strong and can already exist autonomously. With the advent of stablecoins, altcoins may be paired with them or other top-end top coins. If there is no longer a single coin's price dominance, it may be for the better.
Another thing is that bitcoin is not going to disappear anywhere and these are only our fantasies.
Well, even though the foundation of the crypto community relies heavily on the existence of bitcoin but with the exception of the bitcoin connection, these crypto are still interlinked, ethereum and USDT are very classic examples of interconnecting with nearly the entire crypto market, so as soon as bitcoin fall to death, they are great alternatives to keep the market from collapsing badly. The loss in investment will be quite large with the death of bitcoin, don't expect this to happen, just believe this is a fantasy in your spare time

As we all know other crypto currency was created because of bitcoin thus I think if bitcoin die then the whole crypto currency will die because they made by the power of bitcoin however since bitcoin is very popular now and its user are so many right now, so I think nothing to worry about that because if many people who use bitcoin in  their daily life no reason that bitcoin will die.

The life of the crypto currency is in the people who use it and considered it as money.

Since it pretty much carries the cryptocurrency name to the public, there is a high tendency that if bitcoin were to die, people's insights and opinions about cryptocurrencies could change for the worst. And that's probably the reason why most banks out there attack bitcoin solely, since they knew that if the bitcoin hype were to die, the ones that came along with it will too eventually.
There are some cryptocurrencies that can take the crown if bitcoin were to go down guns blazing (knock on wood). What I mean by that is bitcoin has been in the cryptospace for a decade or so and along the way there are other that followed suit so I think that even if bitcoin were to die, people can just migrate to other cryptocurrency and make it get big but I doubt that they will be able to do what bitcoin did in a decade.

But you will die first before bitcoin does? because this coin will serve even our 3rd generation until the last drop has been mined and there is the right time to assess if this will continue or will gone.

Actually if  within the occasion that bitcoin will be dead, unquestionably I would say there will be a big negative affect within the crypto advertise since btc is continuously the standard in each showcase development since btc and alts are correlated with the other. In any case, in my supposition, there's no plausibility for btc to die within the current situation since btc is doing good performance within the showcase and it is still getting superior and way better and increasingly individuals and adoption of BTC also rise.

I think we can call this time as sleeping time.  Cool All market has tired. And we are resting, sleeping and enjoying. Soon everthing going to change. We will start work again. Get ready for sleepness nights, mobile phone charger and say goodbye your social life, friends even some family members... This time we are going to try reach to moon Smiley It won't be easy but will be funny!
The next question is how long do they fall asleep? how long does it take for them to rest?
Is their sleep the beginning of death?  Cheesy Cheesy

The death of bitcoin would mean a big change inside the crypto world.I`m pretty sure this won`t be the end of the cryptomania, some altcoins, like ethereum and litecoin might survive.Tokens that serve a sertain purpose, like Vechain, might survive and thrive. The consept of a "digital gold" type of cryptocurrency will be destroyed for sure.

Knowing the fact about bitcoin and its relation with altcoins can give one person enough insight that even bitcoin will end up, altcoins can be able to survive the market obstacles despite of bitcoin dead. We know how potential and influential bitcoin is but it is not the only coin that crypto people wants. There are more altcoins that supported by the investors. Still crypto market will go on.

Bitcoin is held in the first place not because bitcoin is the founder of cryptocurrency, but because there is a demand for it, many investors are interested in bitcoin because with it you can easily earn in their opinion, but if bitcoin dies, then all investors will simply switch to another altcoin.

I don't seem to understand why everyone saying btc dead and all sort , if the price dip and because of that many are crying like this then it is no a force to buy or use bitcoin , you can leave the dead alone and let it rest but post here and there for no actual reason than fud is definitely out of it, bitcoin is not dead and will never , u all are expecting up every time and never think of it going side way too which is normal and cause of greedy many people buy in when it was about going down and noobs reason too but have to have faith in what you are in to so hold and believe cause the price will never call you to say am about to pump to new ath when its time comes.

But did he die ?  If it is  , then we can safely say that cryptomania is also dying but currently they are still alive and kicking .

Btc and overall cryptos were too useful to be forgotten by the public .  if there are the one that can die , then that is some scam coins with no real purpose on why they are built

At the moment almost everything is tied in with bitcoin, ripple might be slightly uncoupled but when bitcoin fell xrp eventually followed. Cryptomania will be gone but crypto will still exist
