Wouldn't your life be better? How much did you spend on alcohol? Imagine you invested this money or started a business with it?

If you never had any alcohol you would have avoided many mistakes, work harder and more easily, you would be smarter, richer, more healthy and with better friends Wink
I just read the question again and realized that you made some stupid arguments; Why would non-drinkers be smarter than drinkers?
And why would non-drinking friends be better friends than the drinking ones?

I quit alcohol 8 years ago. The world has been a gradually opening present of wonders since then. Saved thousands - in fact I don't even socialise in alcohol establishments now because it's boring, topic is usually in the gutter and the conversation worsens the drunker my friends get.

Give me a coffee and a night round the campfire / out investigating any day Smiley

It depends on the company, you can have good conversations in a place where they serve alcohol if your friends are not drunk and here to have a good conversation

CHEAP BOOZE

Very interesting but it's even worse for your health than alcohol you'd buy in a store
Not really, it just becomes water with alcohol.
You see, if the yeast doesn't get enough oxygen from the air it takes it from the sugar, converting it to alcohol. The yeast then dies, when the alcohol level gets to high, and will sink to the bottom of the bottle! Smiley
So to be safe it is recommended not to drink the bottom of the bottle
Exactly. Or, well, it's not dangerous to do so, it just tastes like shit (and will make your stomach hurt. A lot.)

OK

You can make your own alcohol! Extremely cheap and potentially very good tasting.
You know what? I'll give you a recipe on a drink called "Mäsk" or "Kilju". This is an extremely easy drink to make and will be about 12% alcohol (it's essentially sugar wine btw):

1L water
200g sugar
A tea spoon of dry yeast

Take a 1.5L soda bottle, clean it properly.
Pour 1L water into the bottle.
Add the sugar.
Shake the bottle until the sugar dissolves.
Add the yeast.
Shake again.
Take of the cap.
Take a balloon and put around the opening of the bottle (don't just put the cap on again, because the CO2 the yeast produces will make the bottle explode).
(If you don't have a balloon, take a small plastic bag (preferably clear and strong), press the air out of it, and tape it around the opening)
Use some tape to make sure the balloon doesn't move.

Wait until the mixture gets clear (2-4 weeks).
Use a siphon (some kind of tube that can transport liquid) to put the liquid into new bottles.

Enjoy (or more like, try not to puke, because the taste can be pretty awful)!

Optional: Buy a bottle of juice to replace the water. Just make sure there are place in the bottle for the yeast to work, so pour some of the juice out (cranberry or apple works very well (and if you use grape juice it will essentially become regular wine)).

I like beer way to much to think that my life would be better without alcohol. But with that said I almost never get drunk, hangovers hit hard when you get older

When you get older, if you don't smoke, don't exercise and drink regularly you will most likely get fat.

I never had any alcohol in my life, at least in my conscious life.

drinking until you're unconscious isn't the healthiest choice

Life is too short. We need to keep trying to uncover every aspect of it. Drinking might help with that mission. Everything is for humans after all. You just need to take responsibility for your actions.

Life is indeed very short especially if you overuse your body and mind early on

Same here, don't drink, smoke, or do any drugs. Still poor, so lol.

Story of my life. I don't smoke, and drink only cheep beer very rarely. Not wasting money on any earthy desire either... Still poor.

What does drinking until you're unconscious have to do with uncovering every aspect of life?

It is very bad even if you only drink once in a while.

It just consumes your life slowly without you knowing it and before you know, your life is gone.

Good for you but you may be exaggerating a little, it feels like it goes fast after 25 no matter what
That is a bit exaggerated, but it is possible if it is started from an early age in my POV, I have friends in High classes that are under performing.

You are likely to die younger is you drink
